Got this phone to replace the Samsung D600 as I needed the 2100 MHz band for visiting my daughter in Japan.

It is OK. But the flip action is stiff & heavy, & find it difficult to use, characters on buttons are hard to see being white on silver which I find more difficult than white on black.

Overall I haven't checked out all the features as I only use calls & text, but overall not as good as the D600.

The volume has been limited by Sony. So if I can't control the volume the phone is basically useless as I miss 50% of calls & texts in public & can't hear the radio or my own music in public, this is a serious negative as I use my phone in public more than I do in house.

Haven't checked out the rest of the features as I don't use them, but the battery life is not very long as the 'antenna' is not as strong so the battery is drained searching for 3G or GSM signal.

Takes a decent photo but no zoom, video not bad.
Still in good nick as I bought a cover from USA which is better than the plastic ones.

Have dropped it a few times due to awkwardness of opening.

The only real positive for me is the fabulous colour purple but this doesn't help in it reliability or durability.

Disappointed in phone, I am seriously looking at dumping this one & checking out the Samsung F480 as it has 2100 MHz for my trips to Japan & the prices are coming down so I won't be tied to a plan, pity it doesn't come in purple in Aus but it does come in pink or coral colour so will do some research & check it out first on this site & then other.

Had this phone for about 2 weeks now, loved it at first but now it's starting to switch itself off now & again which is useless!

Not many features on this phone either & it won't accept picture messages.

Like the brightness of the phone though & it's easy to use but I think I'll be looking to replace it in the near future.

The Sony Ericsson Z750i is the most rubbish phone out on Sony Ericsson. I am on an 18 month contract & quite frankly I never use it because it is only stuck in the workshop all the time.

My advice is never get this phone because it will always be stuck in the workshop.

It is on its third time in the workshop since I have it 6 months ago. There is nothing good about this phone only its exotic colours. Don't GET THIS PHONE.

I bought this phone & had it unlocked to Orange. Only problem is MMS will not work. Have had new settings sent numerous times, been back to the guy who unlocked it & still they won't work, this is quite frustrating as otherwise I love the phone. Very pretty & pink with good keys & reasonable features. Camera is OK (although doesn't zoom in MP2 or 1 mode). But whats the point anyway if I can't send pictures to anyone!

Love the phone however it has developed an annoying fault of turning itself off all the time. It can go days without doing this but then does it five or six times in a row which is a nuisance! Have to remove the battery to get it going again.

OK I got my Z750i form three network only because I was entitled to upgrade my Nokia 6120, I chose the 750 because I wanted GPS features. When starting the Google Map application it reported Java error & after being fobbed off for several weeks I finally forced them to take the phone back & repair it, apparently the software & firmware needed upgrading.

The shape is cool & so is the front display however even though the Google Maps GPS function is now working it takes about 5 minutes or more for it to find a satellite & that only happens if you hold the phone sideways, it then reports GPS signal too weak & can't plot my location.

So although it's a nice looking phone with some neat features it may as well not have GPS as it pretty well unusable.

I got this phone on the 3 network. It had barely any reception & the GPS couldn't get a lock. So I went to a little shop in town & they unlocked & rebranded it & put an Orange SIM in it. Hey presto! Excellent reception, GPS works a treat!

This is a great little phone. It's made of plastic & quite chunky, so it doesn't look as sleek as the Nokia 6600 slide, for instance. But it costs 80 quid instead of 250, so what do you expect. Its features, however, are amazing for such a cheap phone. GPS works great, Bluetooth works great, pretty intuitive controls, the little display on the back is easy to read, & it has an easy to use keypad that doesn't give you cramp when you're texting!

There's just one little niggle, when you text it gives you a list of spellings to choose from, & you can only choose by using the navigation key, instead of the more usual option of using 0 or hash to scroll through the words instead. I am still getting used to that one.

Very good phone, apart from one problem! The GPS does NOT work! I bought the phone from Argos on the 3 network. Excellent design I give it 100%. Usability only 95% because the battery is not the best. Features only 80% because the GPS does NOT work!

The manual states that is has satellite navigate through built in GPS & network dependent A GPS.

The A GPS which works on signal strengths to local transmitter stations does work. When at home, Google maps gives me my location with a circle 600 metres in radius. Sometimes it is spot on, at other times it's a couple of miles off target.

However the proper GPS will not lock onto any satellite. It did work for a few minutes, when I first switched it on, because the log in the phone shows my position very accurately for the first couple of minutes, when the new phone was switched on. I am comparing it to a new light bulb which flickers for a few seconds & then burns out, because of a manufacturers fault!

I have tried my phone next to a Nokia e71 & the 3G iPhone. Both show locations which are spot on, while my phone is more than a 100 meters off target.

I have complained to Sony a couple of times by email. First time they fobbed me off, saying this does not support GPS so there is no fault. I pointed out that the manual says it has GPS, the Argos catalogue says it has GPS & so does the 3 catalogue. In the second email they accepted that the phone has GPS & shifted the blame on the 3 network, saying the problem is network dependent.

I know it is a hardware fault. Will never buy Sony again!

My old phone (N73) had tom tom v6 installed & I used a Bluetooth GPS unit for route planning. Does anyone know if tom tom can be installed on the Z750i & work with either the internal GPS the Z750i has, or an external Bluetooth GPS unit? the problem with Google maps is that there are no voice instructions to tell you where to go while you are driving.

Nice phone, by the way.

I've got this phone because my Nokia 6500 stopped working. I didn't realise how utterly rubbish the Nokia was until I came to use this Sony Ericsson, the screen is brighter & clearer, the way it works is far more straightforward (& I've had Nokia's for years), the software for the PC does what it is supposed to do with a nice clear interface. Personally I prefer the clamshell design since it protects the screen & buttons when it is in my pocket.

Also it's got AGPS which works with Google maps, this is utterly amazing, I can put it on satellite view, walk around my garden & all the time it shows my location to within 5m, OK it is a bit slow finding its location compared to the one in the car but it does actually work & would be very useful for finding your way around an unfamiliar town.

The only defect is the instruction manual which describes the blindingly obvious in tedious detail but is useless for anything that isn't obvious, this is a small concern though since it works so intuitively I doubt whether most people would bother looking at it.

Although I enjoy this phone I would rather have my W810i back.

The camera is not very good, no flash & the music player is not as easy to control as my old phone.

Also the front screen is pretty cool where you can see texts, calls & the time on the front but it also is not good for dropping. I've dropped it ONCE & it's already chipped on the bottom.

It also does not feel very sturdy & well build.

Does anyone know how I can sell this phone (brand new) as I am having a new different colour shipped to me, in the box, so I can either buy a W810i back or another Sony Ericsson?

I bought this phone in the UK this week & well chuffed with it, lovely looking in silver. Still working my way round it, so many facilities on it. Purchased a 2GB micro M2 memory card & transferred 525 mp3s from PC to it no problem. Sounding is excellent, contemplating whether it's worth getting the mini speakers for it. What I want to know is whether a 4 or 8GB card would be compatible for this model.

I bought this phone by Internet from another country because in my country it didn't appear yet. So I was so excited about all I read about it, about its fine design. I was waiting for it for weeks. But now, when I have it I understand that I did a big mistake. It's so unsecure. Every time I take it in hand I am afraid to do not drop it down because its assembly is so fragile. (After my Nokia 3120 which I loved for its lasting & simplicity). When I open it it creaks. This sound gets me mad.

That's nothing, but the sound. That's a really mess. I think the dynamic doesn't work properly, as I can't hear my caller, so I most talk with the headset. As I bought it in another country & in my country there isn't any Sony Ericsson service centre there is nothing I can do with this phone.

I brought a cell which is my first cell. I like its looks & features. But the outer controls like the volume control, rewind & forward are becoming loose. : (

Good design. 3G capability makes it even better. Smart looking phone will buy when it high-resolution.
