This has to be the best phone I've ever had. I've had it for just over two years now & only just getting bored of it. I abused it far too much, but it has proven its durability! I can find nothing wrong with this phone, the only thing with it is that it's just started recently to randomly turn itself off when I try to make a call. But I think this has more to do with the fact I use it far too much. Battery life is grand, can do days without being charged, & can last several hours on a phone call when it starts to alert you of the lack of battery, but if you finish the call & leave it for a while it goes up.

A superb phone, I would recommend it to anyone! Buy it!

I have had this phone for a good two years & it is still in excellent condition! The battery life is outstanding so I only need to charge it once every week & a half. The camera is surprisingly good for 2.0 megapixels & there is a good range of effects. The buttons are easy to use & the battery cover & memory stick slot don't fall out or come out of place-like most phones I have had! It is indestructible & probably bullet proof. It has survived many trips down the toilet & when I have dropped it on concrete (many a time). I thought it would be a goner, but no, it stays in one piece! I was silly & changed the cover to a colour pack I bought, it kept falling off & breaking, so I changed it back! The annoying thing it that it sometimes unlocks itself. My friend had this phone & it played music in a lesson because it had unlocked itself & the play button on the side was pressed. If it is on silent, music can still play which is slightly annoying. & the fact that it is quite chunky is a bit annoying, I can't have it in my pocket at school!

All in all I am incredibly impressed with this phone & recommend it to anyone who is very accident prone!

This is the best phone I've ever had. It has been dropped in a river, smacked with a drumstick & has been hit with a guitar & it is still going good.

I've had it for 2 years now & it still holds its battery for about a week :).

The only things that would be good would be a bigger screen & maybe be a bit thinner.

This phone is seriously invincible! I have had it for more than 3 years running now, & it's still going perfectly. It's a phone for people who use their phone 24 7 like me, like texting, & listening to music, as I am still in my teens, so I think it's a great teenage phone, as it had everything a teen like me wants! I LOVE this phone, definitely recommend it.

This is as close as you can get to the perfect mobile in my opinion. It has great features, good camera, amazing flash which doubles as a torch (I use that feature ALL the time, it is damn bright) good video quality & you can record as long as your memory can take, good video editing software (cut, add words, add pictures sounds, import videos etc), good MMS software (easy to make a decent MMS with pages including pictures, sound, colour text & you can choose timing etc), has both infra red & Bluetooth (which is quite rare now), brilliant music player which you can play out of amazing headphones (supplied) or a great speaker (integrated in the phone), very very editable phone overall so you can have it as you like, long lasting battery, memory card slot, easy to install & use applications, easy to text (perfect buttons), lots of different themes to choose from, a very very durable phone (it just does not break whatever you do to it!)

One thing I love about it is it has a timer & a stopwatch so you can count down from a time (like a microwave) or time something (like a race or whatever) I don't use this very often but when I do, I am grateful it's there.

It does however have 3 small problems.

- The battery cover gets loose easily (mine is held on with tape which is annoying when you want to get to the battery).
- It is a bit big & bulky which may not be good for some people.
- It can go onto the music player easily if you forget to lock it.

Overall this is just a perfect mobile phone & I would recommend this to everyone! You need never buy another phone! This will suite EVERYBODYS needs! It can do anything!

TOP PHONE.

I have this for more than 2 years now & I love it! I am getting a new one in few weeks (due to an upgrade) but I won't give up on this one, I will keep it as a backup. I know it won't let me down. I am only getting another one because I am a little bored of it after 2 years.

I have got great photos made with it, easy to browse, long battery life, MP3 & FM radio (camera, radio & MP3, all in one). I've dropped it so many times, is like a brick!

I am a girl & I wanted a stylish phone, touch screen, & other kind of rubbish girls want on their phones, but after having this phone I realised I rather have a chubby phone, boring I would say, but at least works no matter what!

Love it!

This phone is a really good phone but after a year this phone is starting to get boring so I am getting the LG Viewty phone. The camera is good there is a light for you taking pictures outside although this doesn't really help. There are 5 games on this phone but 3 are only for a few seconds & then you have to buy the game. You can video as long as you like until you have hardly any memory left. I have had this phone for a year & now I have 20 videos, 50 pictures & 125 songs!

I would recommend this phone but it is not very up-to-date now LOL. Xx.

I have read the other reviews on this site. It's amazing with all the features from the day I bought it, I bought it the first day it was released & am using it for 4 long years it's the best phone in the world. Due to market competition & other stuff Sony Ericsson might have reduced the quality of newer phones to reduce prices but those who have bought it earlier are the LUCKIEST ONES.

I've had this phone for over two years now & it has never let me down. The camera & video works well but is very out dated. Also the MP3 player is perfect (as to be expected). I have only one minor problem, & that is the battery cover becomes loose & needs taping down (only a slight annoyance on my part).

Reviews from the newer Sony Ericsson phones all seem to follow the same pattern of problems with the firmware, I have never had a problem with crashing or stalling with the W810i. BEST PHONE I've ever had!

I would really recommend this phone to someone that likes music & I think it has a good battery life.

In reply to Lorna,

This phone is a brick. I've had it for a year now & it hasn't broken. I dropped it in the bath & it still works perfectly! It's been everywhere. In the mud, in my bath, it's been dropped many times. So although the screen has a small scratch on it, I still love it & I don't see myself getting a new phone ever again. Thank you Sony Ericsson for making the phone of my dreams.

Well, I've had this phone for almost 2 years for now & it still works really well for me. Actually it sometimes turn off, whenever it wants, but I actually got used to it & it wasn't happening before, so I think it's my fault ( didn't take care of batteries well).

The 2 megapixels camera is really fantastic, I was thinking before I bought it that 2 megapixel isn't good enough, but it happened to be & it really makes good photos.

The MP3 player stuff is really simple & has some useful options, but the quality of the sound isn't the best I've heard, & that's bad, because it's a MUSIC phone.

It doesn't have joystick, THANK GOODNESS. Its design is just perfect, & 100% useful, that's why I give it max.

Features are not the strongest thing of w810i, except for the nice camera, & MP3 player, there are things like photo, video editors etc. But you don't really use them, because they just don't have enough features inside. Same with the ability to attach a photo to contact from phone book number, if someone likes it, good but I don't use it.

In overall, W810i is a really nice phone for someone who likes music, wants to have a useful, not breakable phone with good, but cheap camera. I still have, & I will still keep it, although I buy a new one in 2 months.

I have had this phone for about a year, & it has just started to have a mind of its own, the screen goes pure white or it would just not work if pressing the buttons, eventually I took the SIM out & replaced it, woo hoo never had a problem since! Hope it stays that way. This is a great phone, I would recommend it!

Good points.
- Very easy phone to use.
- Very good features.
- Very well thought out design.
- Looks very nice & luxury.
- Good Walkman player (quite loud).
- Lots of accessories included.

Bad points.
- A little on the chunky side.
- Video quality not very good very blurry.
- Some very fiddly & small buttons.
- A boring layout.
- A lot of people have experienced freezing.

This phone is a good design with some high end features but the maybe some bed points like it been a bit chunky will put you off this phone.

BUY THIS PHONE! One of the greatest phones of all time I have had 3 so far & still amazes me how great this phone is. I conducted a little test with my second phone to see how reliable it was. I threw it against walls, down the stairs, got a brick & smashed it 3 times, threw it in a lake (by accident) but still it lived! (but after the lake Bluetooth got wiped off it but it still had infra-red. Amazing phone.

The design is good, but this doesn't make up for the fact the phone just doesn't work as it should. Really don't buy this phone!

This phone must have the loudest ringer of any phone ever! If you miss calls due to not hearing your phone ring, get one of these. With the ringer on max I can hear it ring over an electric drill.

Build quality is old school Sony Ericsson you could not break it if you tried, the camera & music player are great. The only down side is that it use a Walkman mode offline, not a flight mode. This means if you have to have your phone off, (in hospital etc) you can only use the music player & not the camera or java games like you can on newer Sony Ericsson phones.

Also if you want a memory card for it they are so cheap as this phone is old but is still immense. Get it it's worth it.

Probably the best phone I have owned since my old Nokia. Call quality & signal reception & capability is second to none. Have had this phone for two years & it has been absolutely perfect. Apart from a very early glitch which was sorted by replacement phone & new SIM card. Couple of minor niggles which is why it only receives 95%. Call over button is fiddly & often triggers other functions & some music downloads from my iTunes won't work.

Battery life is exceptional & I have just replaced original battery after 2 years of CONTINUAL usage.

Quite what I am going to replace this phone with I have no idea. All those currently out there seem to have major flaws.

My criteria? a phone that has exceptional call, signal & reception quality allied to a good camera & music system. After all, it is supposed to be a phone!

Now I am thinking of getting the LG KF510 the reviews on here sound good & the phone looks amazing.

But Sony Ericsson Walkman phones are really good. I did have the Motorola RAZR & the W810i is miles better. If you're thinking of buy this phone but reckon its old then the ones above it are really good too. WHOOP, WHOOP.

This is the phone I had before upgrading to the Sony Ericsson K660i, mainly because I wanted a contract phone.

This phone is amazing! The Walkman is loud & clear, the screen is perfect & I've dropped this a million times, & only came out with a few scratches on the screen & around the phone. I've dropped this phone down a toilet once, honest, it was clean, I was doing my hair! & it's still working fine. I used to use the light as a torch as it was bright & easy to use! I am proud to say I owned this phone, but now I have the K660i, I am passing this down to my brother as he is also a T Mobile customer on Pay As You Go.

All in all, get this phone if you cannot decide on anything else, you drop your phone often, & you want a clear Walkman that is easy to use! Only downfall I had was the headphones kept popping out of the bottom part, but they still worked perfectly, I just had to make sure they went in properly.

Well done Sony, you've designed a masterpiece! (:

Had this phone for nearly 2 years now, still one of the best phones I've ever owned. Like most other people I've dropped, kicked & sat on it many times, & it still works, its witchcraft! Only 2 drawbacks, I've put a 4GB card in mine, works OK as long as it isn't completely full, slow to open files though, & it has started to scramble text messages, sometimes they disappear before I can read them & reappear weeks later, or I'll delete one & it'll come back, or it'll combine 2 two part texts to really confuse me! All in all though, a great phone, nothing else on the market can really compete! Get it!

Well, I am about to say a farewell to this phone as I am having the problematic W580i shake phone in a couple of days. After nearly a year with the W810i, it has served me well & never let me down. It recently fell out of my shorts pocket whilst listening to music & hit the concrete, a few minor scratches are now visible but nothing has changed. Great looks with this phone & it is certainly a phone you can really rely on.

My advice would be for anyone wanting a good camera phone with good memory (get a 1GB card to really enjoy it) this is the ideal phone. Hasn't let me down & hasn't let my mate down (& he's had his for nearly 2 years & it's still going strong).

Good luck with the purchase of this phone. You shouldn't regret it.

I couldn't agree more with Jo from Oxon, UK.

I currently have a w810i & was due for an upgrade in Oct 2007. I am still looking for a phone that is worth upgrading to! Samsung need to sort their cameras out (especially at night) before I move to them, & Sony Ericsson need to stop separating their Walkman & camera phones.

I have looked at the w960i & it has such mixed reviews I can't justify the money. The w890i looks to be the best option but has no flash.

I think I have come to the conclusion that getting a phone that incorporates a music player & buying a separate camera is the best option. Camera phones don't yet cut it.

This was my first non Nokia phone & initially I saw all the bad especially the limited nature of the 3rd party software available for the same. However once I started using it, I realised many positives.

- Unbelievably rugged, dropped lots of times. No problems.
- Lots of handy inbuilt features.
- Good sound quality.
- Very good user interface.

However there are some Negatives when compared to Nokia.

- Can't open more than one 3rd party application at a time.
- Speaker volume is just okay. Not loud enough. Clarity is good though.
- When you are transferring some files through Bluetooth or IR, you cannot do anything else.

A very good Sony Ericsson phone. But I stay a Nokia Fan.

It's very easy to navigate the menu's, transferring music with either the supplied software or one of the many other ways is a breeze, the camera is good enough quality to upload pictures to eBay or other website, the buttons are not to small & so texting is fine.

The music player is what I use the most & is nearly flawless, my only gripe is the fast forward is not that fast so it can take a while to whizz through an hour long podcast for example.

I have had this phone for 20 months, I am on my third after the other two had freezing issues which IMO happens to the majority of phones. If you have insurance or are with a decent company they just replace with no questions asked so not a hassle.

So to sum up, if you want a phone to be a very competent all rounder then I would recommend this one above all others.

I have had this phone for about 1 & a half year's & it has served me well. I always take careful care with my phones & this has lasted well.

This was my first decent camera on a phone, it got all my gig videos & really good for taking pictures, further the light is very reliable.

I really liked the Walkman, as most Sony Walkmans are very good, I also got a 2GB memory card so space has never been a probably.

It has very good speakers & it is really easy to use. I love this phone but now I am onto another Sony phone but with just a 5MP camera.

HIGHLY recommend THIS PHONE.

I love this phone. I loved it so much that I didn't even get an upgrade & then I ended up losing it so I was stuck with a Samsung E900 which was completely useless compared to this phone. Now I have got an upgrade & I am getting the w890i which I am excited about because it looks a bit like the w810i but a smaller version. I definitely think that people should go for the Sony Ericsson's than any other phone because they are so much better. This phone is small, & very easy to use. The camera quality is good & you can listen to music on it. & if you love music then the Walkman phones are really the best phone. I DEFINITELY recommend this phone to anyone.

I got this phone about 15 months ago & it was amazing. It worked fine & it was the best phone that I had ever had until I dropped it a few times, now when I turn it on the screen is just white with purple dots on it.

I phoned up Sony Ericsson & said to them what happened & they replied we cannot fix your phone under the warranty because it was not a known fault with the phone, so I would have to pay £45 just to get it fixed when you can buy a brand new one for £60. So I switched to the cyber shot, love it.

This is still the most reliable phone on the market. Camera is very good for 2MP, even if the light is blinding LOL! Music player is fantastic (like most Sony Ericsson's) even though I don't use it much, very clear & good volume. Easy to navigate through the menus, messaging & calls are very easy to make & most importantly, the phone has never frozen on me in the 18 months I have had it.

Also, very well built, it is thick enough to be sturdy but not so thick that it feels like a brick. A small downside on my W810i is that the WAP doesn't seem to work, but I think that is Orange's fault, not the phones. It is also probably pretty cheap now.

I am due an upgrade from Orange, but having read the reviews of the phones I have been offered they would find it hard to beat this phone. Also, don't buy anything from Orange! I am being messed around by them at the moment. They send you the wrong phone then you have to pay special delivery to send it back! The customer services staff are incompetent, but this is actually an upside because they give you money off stuff :).

I bought this phone because of the excellent reviews. I was put off by the look of it. I sort of wanted a clamshell but decided to go with the W810i, which I got for $182 delivered, with a bonus 512MB pro duo memory stick.

I wasn't sure about having a Walkman phone but it is great & I am so glad I got it. The software is easy to use & downloading songs from my computer is a breeze. I haven't tried the blue tooth or email features.

The camera is good & the video feature is a lot of fun. All in all it is a great phone. It is far nicer in reality than in the pictures. I thought the small keypad would be a problem but the definite feel of the buttons makes it OK. I love the Orange backlight on the keys. It has a nice feel to it. My girlfriend likes it so much she is getting a white one, even though she just bought a Motorola RAZR V3 (which is very pretty).

Definitely recommend.

To be fair it is a pretty good phone, I have the white one, longest phone I have had about 2 years now.

Pros
- Its very strong (I dropped it on a loge ride going up & after going down & getting wet it was still fine! ).
- Fantastic camera for a 2MP.
- Easy to transfer music onto it.
- Good music playback.
- Fantastic battery life.
- Really easy to master & control ( I can text without looking with ease).
- Great torch light on it which I use all the time because I walk in the dark.
- Pretty cheap now.

Cons
- Taking pictures can sometimes be awkward.
- Sometimes the system goes really slowly.
- Pretty thick.
- My memory card sometimes pops out.
- the back that protects the battery falls off after a while.
- Mediocre screen.
- Battery goes red then green again (pretty annoying).

I have been quit picky but there are more pros than cons.

Get it if you want a good all round phone, kind of like the old saying, don't judge it by its looks, it does everything it's said to do well but in a bulky package, but otherwise great phone =).

I got this phone as soon as it came out, I am due an upgrade next month, but am finding it hard to find anything that lives up to this phone, It is probably the best phone I have had. I can fully is charge it in 1hr & it will last around 2 maybe 3 days depending on whether I listen to music or not. Software easy to upload for placing music on the phone.

Everything is easy to use. Great Internet, allows me to save my MSN inbox, so I don't have to worry about signing in & all that. Compared to some of the newer phone it seems a bit bulky. But that's not a big deal to be honest, it doesn't have an Ariel so who cares! Must have dropped this phone 100s of times, & it still works perfectly. Recently dropped it in my dog water bowl, took it apart to dry, still works perfectly & there isn't a scratch on it! It really is a MINT phone! I'd recommend it, if you're now looking for a cheap but decent phone (wasn't cheap when I got it) but yeh, good phone, good camera, good music. All GOOD.

Always had Nokia's before so buying a Sony was a change. I saw it & thought what a cute white phone. Read reviews etc before I decided to buy it.

I really like the white version, being a bit different from all the standard dull looking black phones out there. & I can find it in my bag easily. The only reason I didn't give full marks for design is it could do with being a bit slimmer, like the new W890i.

I don't use the games feature but do a lot of texting. It's a different set up to the Nokia's, but I find it quicker & the buttons feel nicer, proper clicky. Pleased I can access my Gmail account from it. Web browsing is easy.

As for the music, mine didn't come with a memory card but I am going to buy one so I can store more tunes. You need this as the phone doesn't hold hardly any songs. The sound quality is great though & you can add your own headphones which is good.

Better to transfer stuff using a dongle Bluetooth thingy though as the cable method is very unreliable. Mobile software is never the most reliable to use, but Sony's better than Nokia's PC suite muppetry!

The orbit theme is cool. I didn't realise the little comet changed colours until recently! & it's got a built in light on the back of the phone (not mentioned in the spec) which has come in very useful for when you need a torch!

I bought this phone for around US$220. I love the shortcut buttons on it. For the games, it would only work for some Java games, most of them would run abnormally fast or small.
It's disappointing that this phone can't play wav files, & its loud speaker for music is not really that loud, & the earphone that is included in the package are really poor. You'd rather use a cheap $2 earphone. You would hardly hear your ringtone when you're on the street, or while watching movie at your home.
It doesn't have a good video player as well, it can only play 3GP. You can only install limited mobile tools for this w810i

For the good part, it has a nice camera compared to other mobiles that has the same 2megapix camera. I even compared the quality with a N73, & the w810i wins when you're shooting at night. If you are into customizing your phone, I suggest you get a Symbian 60 phone (probably Nokia). In the end, I'd only use my w810i for mobile camera & Walkman, but when it comes to other features like games & applications, Id still use my very old Nokia 6260.

At first I thought this phone was really good & worthwhile but over the last 4 months it has been turning itself off constantly or freezing, & when I try to switch the phone on again by holding the on off button on top it takes a long time to switch on, if the phone is just slightly tapped or knocked it will again just turn itself off, this can also happen for no reason at all when it is playing music or any other function being used at the time. I have contacted Sony Ericsson regarding this problem, but all they have suggested is for me to download the latest updated software from their website, it has not worked at all, I feel the this is a design or software fault of some kind, especially since I've been reading that this fault is happening all over the world with this phone & also the W850i, don't recommend at all.

Well I got this phone rather recently, & have been playing around with it a lot. The Walkman function is great, as it both integrates flawlessly with the phone's software, yet remains separate, so as not to harm the functioning of the phone. I've experienced a couple problems with it reading ID3 tags on MP3's, but that can also be put down to where you download it from, & what sort of formatting you have on the tags.

The 2MP Camera is excellent for such an essentially cheap phone. It's clear, the auto focus works well, the light is powerful, & the macro lens is really good for close ups. The phone is very easy to use with a computer, it comes with the USB cable (& Bluetooth or infra-red is that the USB connection between the phone & Computer is rather slow (With speeds ranging in the USB 1.1 Low-Speed area). This can become a problem when moving a lot of music onto your phone.

The memory is expandable, & the format it takes (Memory Stick PRO Duo) is quite cheap (I managed to get a 4GB Memory Stick for mine for about £17), & reliable. If you're serious about having a lot of music on your phone, & are partial to removing & adding music onto your memory stick regularly, I would advise you get a USB 2.0 memory card reader, so you don't have to put up with the slow transfer speeds.

The phone itself functions very well, the SMS function is simple to use, the T9 is easy to activate, deactivates, & is expandable with custom words. Sound quality of phone calls is good (partly network dependent of course), & it has plenty of features during calling. Also, good news if you like to deviate from the norm & use other software, it supports a wide range of Java applications, including games, web browsers etc, & if you're really into modding phones, the firmware can be flashed with commercially available software, using the standard USB data cable supplied.

All in all, it's a great music phone. It's near infinitely customisable, with the use of themes, has brilliant Walkman software, is fast, reliable, & well worth what you'd pay for it nowadays.

The W810i is an excellent phone for a first time Sony Ericsson buyer because of its excellent usability & design. I've had this phone for 9 months but have to buy a new one because of my own fault. People say that the white one gets dirty easily but that isn't the case, this phone looks best in white as the black one looks rubbery & plasticky.

The reason why I haven't given this phone 100% for features is because this phone has got demo games. This annoys me a lot in phones & I sometimes wonder why they do it.

But otherwise best phone I've ever had!

People, don't go for the newest phone on the market, go for the best. New phones may look flashy, but this phone outstrips the lot of them!

The phone is absolutely brilliant! Although I've had minor problems with the Walkman before they can be fixed by resetting & removing & reinserting sim card etc.

Had the phone nearly a year now & recently found a few more features like watching videos in slow motion :).

One Problem is the Headphones it comes with are amazing but the adaptor used to connect them to the phone is doing my head in! It works for about a month then something happens where you have to hold it in a certain position to get good sound or it only comes out from one ear (not the headphones problem the adaptor) so 'd get quite a big supply of adaptors to be honest!

Many goodies packed into a small thing. Never hangs like Nokia phones. The keys need to be pressed with nail tip as you often end up pressing the Walkman shortcut button instead of return button.

Quality is definitely 75% better than Nokia who makes flimsy stuff & is banking on their brand name.

Easy phone to use, although I had a lot of problems with it. I purchased this phone from the O2 shop in August. After 2 months it went downhill.

- People couldn't hear me when I phoned them.
- It would go off at random times.
- Camera went faulty.
- Buttons would stick.
- When I plugged in the charger, it came up that I was connected to a computer .
- the memory card was inserted but the phone was saying it wasn't.

I took it back to the phone shop I brought it from & they refused to change it as they said it was down to natural wear & tear. Even though in the manual & guarantee it said it was on insurance for 6 months. It broke after three! I wouldn't recommend this phone to any it is a poor quality & looks cheap!

I needed a new phone as my Sony Ericsson w100i joystick was playing up I had the option of the new w580i or the older w810i. I went for the w580i because of the look & lots of adverts. I was disappointed (see W580i reviews) so after taking it back to the shop & getting a refund I went to the Orange shop so as I could have a white Sony Ericsson W810i. I know it is a couple of years old now but in white to very nice indeed.

This phone is excellent indeed. The looks & feels nice in the hand, screen display good & easy to navigate. Getting photos, video & music was easy as it is supplied with USB lead & PC software.

The only downside & these are very small, I wish the lens was covered when not in use. Sony Ericsson say W800i users kept turning on the camera when it was in their pocket because the lens cover slider was on the back of the phone. This never happened to me. The other very small downside was that the Walkman software is version 1 all other phones have version 2.

Everything else about this phone is good, good, good & having cost me £69.99 which included phone, battery, charger, 512MB card, USB lead & PC software is excellent value for money.

So if you need a new phone for phones, video, music, WAP etc. Then I would highly recommend this phone. I have had it for 3 weeks now & no problem & will not be upgrading for some time, plus I make calls, listen to music, take photos & the battery only needs charging min every 5 days.

I've been using this phone for 2 weeks now & it hasn't let me down yet. Compare to my previous phone (W550i) this one is even better. Just the loud speaker is lacking compare to my previous phone.

Storage is just good. 20MB with a memory stick duo slot. I have no problem with storage so far.

My brother is using Nokia N73 & he keep on telling me that he likes my W810i sound quality (using 'W' earphone) & I am really proud of that. =).

It's camera is just great. 2 MP with auto focus. Compare to N70's camera, the N70 is rubbish. We can get the attachable xenon flash at the Sony Ericsson centre but I am not sure yet whether it can be used in this phone (W810i).

Overall, this phone is just great. Just now, my friend tells me that I have a very cute phone. So, if you are a music lovers like me, I highly recommend this phone for only (Malaysian Ringgit, divide with 4.7 to convert it to pound) RM679.

Good phone. Appreciate the hard work gone into making the phone. I want the designers to take into consideration that earphones or the speakers can't be used when the phone is being charged as there is only one port. The battery backup is really sad, disappointing actually & are the main drawbacks of the phone. The battery hardly can take the load of the speakers provided. Camera & Walkman are good. A little more effort on the same could have made it unbeatable.

This is a great phone. Remember, it's roughly 20 months old, & the shops are still selling it. That longevity, like the Nokia 6230 (& I), tells you what a great phone it is.

Battery is really good. It still goes for days & I've had it since almost the day it came out. Bluetooth is great for passing notes between other Sony Ericsson users. Memory is enough for all files, including a lot of Java programmes. The design of the buttons are well spaced, which is vital important. The d-pad beats the sticks.

A feature, the video editor thing is ace. Plenty of shortcut options & the best feature is the home screen function. You can switch between web & texting (for example) with a few button presses, so no need to exit the whole thing then reload. Usability couldn't be simpler.

It'd be interesting to see the average score with all the idiotic 5% marks removed. Don't listen to others as this is a beauty of a phone.

features were brill when I bought it about a year ago, & still good now, camera is good but starting to become outdated compared to the other new phones on the market but notice how some of the new walkmans out still share the 2 mega pixel camera. Music player is good quality in headphones (the Sony ones provided) but the loudspeakers or should I say not-that-loud speakers aren't the best when using it outdoors. All in all good phone & if your looking for a good phone to buy your son or daughter or for yourself it's a pretty safe bet.

Phone doesn't come with amazing features its applications are similar to any Sony Ericsson phones, bit disappointed with equalizer n doesn't support multi applications & third party applications.

Bottom-line an average phone with average functionality. Nokia N73 best value for your money.

Highly recommend N73 best phone available.

I think that this is an amazing phone. It has really good features like radio. Bluetooth (which I have recently figured out that you can send messages through on the phone) & also MP3 & tones more. This phone is becoming more popular as well. As I keep seeing people I know with the phones. & they all agree it is really good. The camera quality is awesome as well. Which is good for when my camera runs out. & I've even had one of the photos as a computer background, & it was still a really good quality.

So yeah I think that this phone is really good. & if you are considering buying it, I wouldn't tell you not to, as I love this phone :).

It reminded me of an old school Nokia, straight forward design & bog standard reliable phone. Not got the most refined screen but the camera & video are pretty good & the Walkman with Disc2Phone software is ingenious. Would definitely recommend if looking for a simple, very easy to use, reliable, sturdy phone with long battery life (had mine 18 months & the battery lasts a good 3 days or more depending on use).

One thing that you will notice is that it is a million times faster than any Nokia mobile. If music is what you are looking for, then this phone is it. Stereophonic features, great speakers, excellent audio quality. The only disadvantage I can think of is that the sound quality during calls is a bit shabby.

The best Sony Ericsson phone I've ever used! It's as simple as that. This phone is truly reliable, dropped it on hard concrete- only scratched a bit. The music player is the best on any phone I've come across- even till now!

The only problem is that the features are just standard, & they get boring after a while, maybe because I am used to using a Nokia Smartphone. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone - great design, light in weight, simple & fun to use, very durable. This is Sony Ericsson at their best.

I had this one for more than a year, & it is probably the best phone I've ever had! All the features, music playing & other stuff worked well, battery lasts so long I usually forgot when I charged it last time when it went out of the green line! The bad thing is, that on mine the charging cable did not fit well, so had to play with it for 2-3 minutes & then leave it untouched to charge up. It is sad that the right button is non-customisable so it points to the net all the time as I pushed this one couple of times & had to cancel connecting afterwards. It is a bit big & does not look as good as newer phones, but it is a communication tool after all!

I upgraded to the W880i last week, & had to take it back today, kind of disappointing (that one looks cool, but it is rubbish in the thing it was designed for) since the W810i was the most reliable phone I've ever had!

Highly recommended if you're all right with a last year's phone (I might go back to it! ).

I give this phone 100% I love it so much you can put loads of songs & pictures on I used to have a Motorola v3 but the Sony Ericsson seems to rubbish all over it, I love when you turn it on because you have a chose either turn the phone on or the MP3 which is useful on planes if your going away somewhere. I love it so much it's a must have I don't know how I lived without it. Putting songs onto it is really easy you can use the disc to phone CD or you can use the memory card adapter where you just click & drag music & picture files
But I don't know how to put media files onto it but it doesn't really matter because I am happy with the MP3 & the great camera & the camera does have flash, read the manual. It's there somewhere. I really love this phone all my friends are jealous about it I know they are he he he.

I have had this phone just over a year & it has finally died (well I crushed it) the camera stopped working after 9 months before that the pics were OK, a lens cover would have been a better design. The menu sometimes got stuck on language select for no reason so had to turn it off/on. Other than that it was a good phone. I do tend to abuse them a bit but working in construction it gets covered in all sorts. Am now awaiting replacement (w610i as w810i no longer stocked) hoping the new one will be equal or better.

Does not appear to be repairable apparently so have just bought the new Nokia 6300 which is good but does not have as many features as the Sony Walkman I.e. No camera light etc & the battery life is very poor, a few calls & it is almost flat!

Finally I got the W810i, after long research & hunt for a good mobile having:

- A good camera
- A good music player + FM
- Adequate storage space
- Not Heavy Weight
- Decent backup
- Not very expensive
- A good reputation in the Market !

Having done extensive research, I short listed the following models based on my 'interest' & budget (12-13k):

- Nokia N70M (12000)
- Nokia 6300 (8700)
- Nokia 5700 Xpress Music (12500)
- Sony Ericsson W810i (12000)
- Sony Ericsson W610i (~13000)

My search started with Nokia, as I wanted to use one of their phones, having used Moto C201 for 3 years!

Initially N70M looked a good phone overall with 1GB space, but when I held it in hand, it was a bit heavy & of course I heard that it is a bit slow. These 2 points made me rule it out.

6300 was very light & attractive. But Battery backup wasn't encouraging.

At this time, I was confused between 810i & 610i & suddenly 5700 XM came to my mind (while searching).

610i had an upgraded player + slim design, but I wasn't comfortable using the keys. I tried this in a store & it was hard to type, similar to the keys of K550i. So I sacrificed this, even though I was fond of it. I wanted to get this, having heard the popularity of 810i.

5700 XM had a different concept & a stylish (RED) design. Heard that it had greater speed, music (& speaker) quality than 810i, but due to its poor Camera Quality, I had to give-up. Had Nokia given a better Cam, I would have gone for it, without any doubt. The durability + user-friendliness + Passion (or feel good factor) Nokia has.

So W810i was the only one which scored in ALL the departments & has a great track-record since 1.5 year! So this was my choice. I am using it since a week now & I am happy.

So all those who are confused (like I was), just go for 810i without getting stressed. You will not be disappointed!

This phone is great but I have had loads of problems with the Walkman player not playing the songs just making a weird noise. I have had two phones but they are still doing the same. Also it will not make a sound when ringing or when you are in the files in sounds.

I have had this mobile for nearly nine months now, the only problem that I had was it kept switching its self off when I was in the middle of something but it was easily sorted out, it turned out to be the battery, I put some tape around the battery to keep it from moving & so far touch wood. I have had no problems. Overall find that it is a good phone easy to use & you can store masses of songs, pictures, etc & has no problem accepting a 4gig memory card. Best phone I have had in ages.

This is another good phone from Sony Ericsson again. The design is very good looking but could be better. The camera is what you would expect from a 2 mega pixel camera & the video is OK but not the best out so far.

The only problem I have is that the speaker sound is not very loud at all & could have been better, I think Sony could have put 2 stereo speakers in this phone. But oh well if you like this phone I would get it, Apart from the speaker the rest of the phone is solid & great, everything that you would expect from a Sony Ericsson mobile phone indeed.

This phone is very strong, I have thrown it at concrete from a height of about 5Ft & only a scratch to show for it. It has fallen onto my kitchen floor (stone) from 4Ft not even a scratch. I have also thrown it at people a few times, also not even a scratch.

Music quality is excellent, beats any iPod or MP3 player. Walkman does crash occasionally but this is usually because I have taken out/put in the memory card.

The phone can run multiple things at once. It's a female phone & it copes well with multitasking. The phone is a bit thick but not too thick, fits in pocket of trousers well.

Camera is slow to take pics, & a very steady hand is required when taking pics, but when the camera is held properly it takes very good photos, I have printed a few of them out 5'x7' & they look great.

All in all a brilliant phone for the money, I got mine on contract in November 2006, didn't regret it. The phone is much better than my Samsung E530.

Absolutely adore this phone! I have had it just over a year now, have dropped it loads of times it does switch off or say 'inactive sim' but I have always managed 2 recover it afterwards.

The Walkman is great, pretty simple compared to the newer Walkman phones but it plays the music fine so I am not really fussed. The phone is dead easy to use & I just absolutely love it.

Getting a new phone now though as I need something new! I would love to get another Sony Ericsson but I don't like the design very much so I am looking at a Samsung. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

Oh & the camera is amazing as well, great quality, even when I upload them on my computer, I totally don't take my digital camera anywhere anymore because I find my phone just as great.

Get this phone, or a newer Sony Ericsson, they're great.

Fantastic phone, I've had mine for about 18 months now & I am not thinking of changing it. The Walkman, as many have said is amazing & the sound quality beats my iPod hands down. You can store lots of tracks & the radio sounds great & bassy, too. The Camera is fine (although I don't use it much).

There is tons of memory space. I have quite a few albums, lots of pictures & about 50 odd games stored. The only signs that my phone has been as well loved as mine has are that there is a small scratch on the screen, the cover for the memory stick is a little warped & bowed out & some of the painted numbers have started to rub off. As for the numbers, they still light up at night, as before.

All in all, it's just showing normal wear & tear & I can't blame it for that! My phone has crashed a couple of times, but that was usually when finishing a file transfer. I've found that if you let the phone run its processes in its own time in these instances, it works OK. But even when it did crash, a quick switch off & on was all it needed to get it back to its old self. I've dropped it a few times (& spilt beer on it twice!) & it's shown no ill effects (aside from a temporarily sticky keypad from the beer!).

All in all, the only reason it doesn't get 100% on design from me is that the keypad is a little small for my big fingers. But I manage OK. Two of my friends got one after seeing mine, one loves his & the other does but has problems with reception. Thing is, he's one of those people who always has trouble with that, no matter what phone he has! Highly recommended!

Even though I have not used this model, I had used a Sony Ericsson another model & it fell down once & then started giving a lot of problems & finally had switch to another phone. From reading other opinions this is a common problem with Sony Ericsson & it is not robust enough to last long.

A phone is expected to robust enough to withstand a drop or more. In this case Nokia is much better, their phone are very robust.

W810i - Brilliant Keypad, brilliant camera (although the video is pretty shoddy) 100% design if it were not for the small & occasional creaks & groans I get, brilliant screen & love the manual focusing lens. Bad things are: creaks & groans on the cover, screen size just a tad too small, the phone speaker is not too good & the left & right selection pads got scratched off a bit = ( but other than that, its the best phone I have had so far.

It's a shame that other people have had this phone crash on them & decided to go for another make as mine has been dropped & has been used every day since I got it & it honestly still looks new & hasn't crashed once! I bought this phone recently & I found it great for the first few days. But then it started crashing up on me for no reason, after 4 days of buying it, it was no longer useable. This is a common problem with this phone & also a flashing white screen also known as 'white screen death' is a common defect & you have to download different stuff to resolve the problem.

After this incident I took it back to the shop for a refund. Now I have decided to invest in either the LG Shine or the Samsung D900.Previous phone, Samsung E720. I DO NOT recommend this phone to anyone!

I've had this phone for some time now & it's not a bad phone all in all but I am looking to buy a new phone. I bought this after a Motorola V3 as I wasn't happy with the signal strength of the V3 which was rather poor, the Sony picks up signals much better & it also has a great camera & screen but there are certain let downs, when you receive a text it doesn't let out an audible beep to inform you, unlike the Motorola, so unless you have the phone with you at the time you may not notice you have a message for some hours, unless you are constantly checking your phone! It is also rather bulky when put in your pocket & the screen is very difficult to see outside in bright light, the screen is completely dark on standby, you can't see a clock or anything! Looks like it's off! I don't really use the other features such as the Walkman etc although I can appreciate they are good for a mobile. It also occasionally crashes where the screen goes white & you have to take the battery out & replace it again before it will work. If anyone knows how to make it beep after a message has been received please can you let me know? Thank you! :).

After having a Nokia 7610 for what felt like 10 years, I was thrilled to hold such a nearly-perfect phone. I listen to music 24/7, so I bought a 512MB memory card & started from there. The sound quality is brilliant, especially with the portable speakers that you get with O2. Most of the features are easy to use & the camera is good. The only thing I really didn't like about this phone was the camera button. It takes ages to take a photo & it's a bit hard to push but other than that, I love it!

The reason I got this phone is so I don't need to carry around a phone, which I previosouly had was an LG 8300? Which had a very good speaker phone, a Sony minidisc md707 which had slightly better music quality, plus a decent 2meg pic phone you can't go wrong. I am using a SanDisk extreme 2 2g card w/approx.300 songs transferred from the disc 2 phone cd. What I don't understand is that the music on the speaker sounds so good & clear but phone calls on speaker are lousy. Crackling before a song starts, once in awhile. FM radio is cool. Future calendar app. don't get highlighted when you go to look it up again, you will have to remember where they are. For a music player & sometimes phone it's good.

I think this phone is the best I have ever had. The only thing that has come to my attention is that after 3 or 4 weeks it gets a bit slow. I am not sure if this is to do with the pictures & videos stored on the phone/memory card. But to get your W810i up to speed again, just use the automatic 'reset settings' feature in the options menu under 'master reset'. This resets settings such as time, date, ringtone etc. None of the contacts, messages, files, & games are deleted. Overall. Very good phone.

I have had this phone for 3 months & it has been one of the worst phones I have ever had. It freezes every time I send a text for about 1 minute & when I receive a text it appears in the inbox for a while then later on in the day it is no longer in the inbox or it has been replaced by another text that I received on my phone & deleted a few days ago? I've also been told that there is no way of fixing the problem as there is no software updates to fix this error? Has anyone else had similar faults with there W810i? I think the best phones to buy these days are the budget phones with little gadget on them as they don't seem to go wrong? You can't beat the good old Nokia 3310 or 3210, they were my favorite phones!

It's amazing. Has Megabass. If you are music lover then you must have it. As phone good reception, voice clarity also good. Loads of download on web. No need to spend money on ringtones. Themes, wallpapers etc.

Now the cons:

- No lens cover.
- Battery life not good.
- Delicate charger, data cable, loud speaker port.

Most imp advantage is it comes with 512 MB card. Which is enough to start with. No other mobile comes in so low price & with such great features. I LOVE THIS MOBILE.

I think the phone is a lovely looking piece of kit & the features are amazing! my alarm clock gets me up in the morning & the music get me through an hour journey to college & a hour journey home again, although I do have to charge it that night, but its a choice you make got a 512 stick in it which came with the phone which I have got about 72 songs on, & do have room for more. The camera is good, for 2mgs its pretty good quality.

I have had a few phones in my time, I have it in front of me at this moment, AWESOME camera decent quality at full zoom.

TOP NOTCH Bluetooth a lot faster than Motorola's & nokias (which are pretty fast imo)

Awesome Walkman, the sound from other phones I have had is poor quiet & dull. This has its own equalizer! The sound is TOP QUALITY the earphones are awesome & the fact you can hook it up to your computer to charge & send music over is immense!

Whenever I got a new phone I ALWAYS got the best this is no exception.

I bought my W810i at the beginning of Nov. '06 & have been very impressed with it compared to my, admittedly, cheap phones that I had owned before. For my basic needs it was very good with the menu intuitive & simple. Texting was a doddle & the camera a revelation. In good light conditions picture quality was excellent but, due to the slowness of the camera, don't expect to be able to take action shots. This is for 'Happy Snappers' only! The FM radio, with excellent little ear-bud phones, was another fantastic feature & the radio played for hours even when the battery indicator showed it had no charge. Call quality was good but not exceptionally clear; you knew you were using a mobile phone & not a land line handset, if you know what I mean? I could read the colour screen in daylight which was a bugbear with my previous phone. It looked smart although the matt black case & screen picked up finger marks very easily. A cheap crystal case, bought off of eBay & costing a couple of pounds, solved that problem. However. The phone has, within the last three days, crashed on me. I've got the white screen where the phone won't switch off & I've had to remove the battery to start it up again but still it keeps crashing. It's very sad as I thought the words 'Sony-Ericsson' would stand for quality & reliability. Prior to this I would have recommended this phone wholeheartedly but now I am not so sure.

The talk time is good & texting is really easy. However I now want a girly phone like the Nokia 7373 BUT everyone is confusing me & some are saying the memory is good others are saying its bad & my contract ends sn ! So at the mo I got to choose between the Nokia 7373 or the Sony Ericsson w850i I want this in white if I get it but if not I will possibly get in black bt I just can't make up my mind arggghhh!

This is the best phone that I've ever had the pleasure of using. I was hooked on Nokia at 1st, then it was Samsung but when I got my hands on the 810 that all changed. This phone is so easy to use & the Walkman is the best sound system I've heard, so much so, that I actually got rid of my 1gig mp4 player, bought a 1gig mem stick for the 810 & have put almost all the albums that I would listen to onto both sticks, that's some music let me tell you.

Even without the earphones in the sound from the speakers is loud & clear. It's handy enough to just slip in the back pocket of your jeans or inside your jacket. The screen is 1st class, really clear & bright.

Most phones these days have a function to record your voice or other sounds, the 810 lets you do this & use that sound anyway you like, as msg alert, alarm call, ring tone or caller ID.

In short I'd recommend this phone to anyone even just for the music features.

I will always stick by Nokia.

How wrong I was, I played with my wife's w550 & a friends w810 & decided to get one.

It's very hard to fault this phone, trust me I wanted to hate it. & I couldn't.

Well first & foremost I wanted a music based phone for my 15-20 minute trudge into work, I have an ipod but I miss calls when I am using that. The player is not bad at all but hey! It's a phone. The bundled earphones are nothing short of a miracle compared with the like of ipods.

The camera is a revelation, 2MP auto focus light etc etc, this thing outperforms a 2MP camera I bought a couple of years ago. OK its not badged cybershot, but comparing my wife's new k800 pictures with this one (when reduced in size obviously) are not to far apart.

Build quality, this thing feels like it could go a few rounds before any real damage happens, good solid feel.

I would recommend this phone to anyone.

Great phone (once I'd got the sim upgraded with my old number which took a few phone calls to Orange call centre). Smartly designed & easy to use once you get the hang of it. Screen is crystal clear with deep colours. The sound is amazing! I've played tracks on this thing & heard details from songs I hadn't noticed before!

To be honest I found the bundled software isn't much use at all. The USB/IR/Bluetooth are all well & good but if you want to transfer large numbers of songs you're in for a long wait. The best option is just to pop out the memory stick, put it into the supplied adapter & wack it into your nearest 5-1 card reader (of which my Acer laptop has one built in). That way you can transfer loads of songs/files etc. In seconds using good old Windows Explorer & drag & drop. One word of warning though, if you want to buy a larger memory stick (2GB, 4GB etc. ) make sure you get the correct type for this phone (there are different versions of Memory Stick Duo cards which run at different speeds & voltages).

One other slightly annoying thing about it though is you can't set recurrent appointments. Please, my old Siemens C45e that I bought about 5 years ago has that feature!

Wow what a great phone. Excellent design with great speakers & great value 4 money :). Walkman software is brill & has got good screen size so very good 4 Internet. Disc 2 phone software takes a while to get the hang of but is quite easy to use in the end. Bluetooth is a great function! My cousins got a W950i & that is good but this is much better I think. Bought it instead of the motorizr Z3 & I am glad I bought this one. Has never crashed or frozen & has got good java games. The only bad things is that Sony Ericsson has dropped the great camera cover which has lead to the 2MP lense getting slightly scratched. The main concern is the down button. I bought my phone on the 2nd of January & my down button is already very flimsy & not as crisp to press (hope I am not being picky! ) However anyone that is crazy about music & wants to share songs with friends via Bluetooth should definitely this phone!

Walkman sound is amazing thru the loudspeaker & headphones. Equalizer is very impressive. You can hear every detail in the music. Earpiece volume is so, so. At times it's nice & loud, other times is so low that I can't hear anything. Voice quality thru the earpiece is clear & sounds like the person is right there (when you can hear them) Loudspeaker doing voice calls is absolutely worthless. Voice quality is bad, & volume is very low. The person on the other end sounds garbled & they sound like they are speaking thru their nose. The phone freezes up quite a bit & I have to remove the battery to re-set it. I have had to remove & re-insert the battery as much as 9 times in a row to get it to work right. It drops calls every now & then.

Over-all, this phone is massively feature packed but it lacks the area that I need the most which is the loudspeaker. It's small, lightweight & does it all.

But the sorry loudspeaker is what held me back & I had to sell it. I now have the Nokia 6270 which has the LOUDEST speakerphone of all GSM phones I own.

Phone is OK but due to the fact that the camera lens has no dust cover unlike the W800i, the camera lens has got scratched so picture quality is rubbish (it was very good before). Symbols in the display e.g. Bluetooth occasionally disappear when it shouldn't. Walkman has great sound quality but can't play WMA files, but still I would recommend this phone.

On my fifth w810i only 3 months into an 18 month contract asked Orange to change model back to either Nokia or Samsung which were reliable. But only offered out of date phones. So just keep getting w810i phones that always seems to have one problem or another, with keypad backlight not lighting up in two of the phones & the other phones just crashing & not being able to switch them on again. Now the latest replacement drains the battery so now it's a new battery that is being sent to try & solve the problem, but lost faith in the phone altogether & Orange don't care because I am stuck in the contract which I do like but not with the w810i.

As known to all, it is very easy to point flaws in others work but one come to know limitations when one tries to create an innovation thyself.

This model has some limitations:
1) 2 MP cam does not have a protective cover unlike W700i.
2) Does not support EDGE.
3) Does not support Real Media Files.
4) Does not support unlimited SMS char message (till now).
5) Cannot listen to FM without hands-free or ext. Speakers.

Inspite of all the above limitations, I will rate this model is a marvel by itself considering the amount of features packed in to a 99g hand unit. Truly a master piece.

This phone is the rubbish, MP3 2 megapixels, but the problem is that this phone does not have m4a. I have like 20 songs of m4a format, when I click in to play, says this song can't be played! But the design is great, I have the w810i white pearl.

I got this phone through a T-Mobile upgrade & thought it was the bees knees. However 39 days on, the phone crashed on me & got to the point where it would not even start up. It is now in getting repaired at the carphone warehouse as T-mobile would not replace it as it was out with its 28 day warranty. T-mobile as kind as they are could not even offer me a loan phone thus leaving me phone less. Having been a contract customer for 6 years this was not the kind of customer service I expected. I will not be re-newing my contract with them again.

It's almost a perfect mobile phone the things that caused it to be nearly perfect are:

Design:
1. No cover (protection) for the camera lens, (with 2 megapixel & very good resolution for a phone) which could be very useful for people who are meticulous to their stuffs.
2. The 'navi key' is easily scraped off.

Features:
I really liked the light so much, it's very useful in some cases. Also the 'Walkman' feature it's cool, very useful, even in parties or social event where it can be used as a portable music player. Just connect it to a stereo, & WALA! Music for everybody. The only flaw is the organizer/calendar lacks some features, you can't store anniversaries, birthdays or important events. You have to insert these dates to contacts, but how about anniversaries or birthday of a 1 yr. Old child.

For usability it's PERFECT.

The phone overall has been very good. I really like the sleek design & the material it is made of.

The screen is big & clear.

The voice quality & signal reception are great.

The battery life is pretty good. I can use it for at least 3 full days (I use the phone pretty extensively) between charging.

The Bluetooth & other connectivity options are also great.

The camera is decent for outdoor, daytime, well-lighted shots. But I don't expect much more from a mobile phone camera. Good for quick clicks, esp. when you get out somewhere, see something great & realize you don't have a camera.

There are a couple of nitpicks though (basically complaints about features my prev phones had & this doesn't have):

1. The organiser is not so good. You cannot add recurring appointments or reminders for regular events. You can't just add a permanent entry in the calendar for events like birthdays & anniversaries. To add a person's birthday you have to add him as a contact & edit his details to add his birthday.

This is painful because a lot of the times you don't want to store that person's phone number - like my sister's 3 year old daughter. But even then there is no method to add multiple events for a contact - typically you would want to store a person's birthday & his wedding date.

2. My earlier phone could set 'timed' profiles. This was very useful, like when you get into a meeting you set the phone in the 'meeting' profile which has it in the silent mode & you can time it to be for the duration of the meeting. After that the phone would automatically switch to the previous profile. This is especially useful since we typically forget to set the phone to ringing again after we come out of the meeting & don't realize it when we get calls.

3. The radio requires you to have the headset connected. But you cannot use the headset to change the radio channels. You will have to dig thru the menus to get to the radio & change the channel.

4. The games are rubbish, demo versions. You don't get any decent games with the phone to test out the phone before you buy.

Overall a very good phone, but lacking in a few software features that would have made it a great phone.

Design - very good. Comes with preset buttons, buttons can be cramped sometimes but it feels very sleek in your hand 9/10

Features- has enough features for a phone, supports 3d games, plays music, Bluetooth etc camera is very impressive also 10/10

Usability- easy to get to grip with & you are garneted to use every feature to the maximum with this phone. 10/10

The only problem I have with this phones is the loud speaker is rubbish. Also there isn't a shutter for the camera lens but apart from these 2 flaws it is a very good simple phone & I am very happy I purchased it. :-)

I absolutely loved this phone! It had everything I wanted, music, camera, & 3d games! 2 days after it arrived it started suffering from white screen syndrome needless to say I returned it. The replacement was great until it started to constantly crash. This was sent for repair but was replaced & a week later that one started crashing as well. After a long & heated debate with Vodafone they decided to replace it with a W850i which other than the non cancelling slide is I must say a lot better than the W810i & after 2 weeks haven't had any problems. YET. There are a few occurrences of the same problems I had with the W810i but personally id put it down to a faulty charger as all the problems I had balled down to a malfunction on the chip (I.e. Short circuit). Don't let my problems put you off the phone though as when it worked it was an awesome phone!

I bought this phone 2 months back this is the best phone I can say, but the feature are not so good like there is no flash until we turn on the light of I, can't lower down the volume without playing the song, does not play any other format that MP3, it has good headset but they won't last for long I had them changed 2 times already, sound is less than average walkman phones, but its easy to use camera got really good quality pics, but again no lens cover, display screens gets dirty easily, button too close for writing fast message, this a good phone to have its a little compact full featured phone which has every essential function with catchy looks & magnificent camera, will recommend to everyone to buy this phone rather than w800, w700 & other Walkman phones, you, all simply love it, the best part is its black,

All together a smart phone to have.

A nice phone, though the software doesn't seem stable enough, & the stupid thing decided to die on me when I put a different memory card in & got the white screen of death (a lot like the blue screen) & from then on it died, so always turn it of before removing or swapping memory cards, its not the strongest of phones, & is easily damaged, could do with a camera lens cover, hint get a oem back of a k7501 from eBay & fit it your self, its easy two screws & the old one pops off then you fit the new one!

I LOVE this phone, I don't know why people have slated it so badly!

I was always a Nokia girl, & if I ever bought a new phone that wasn't Nokia, I usually went out & replaced with a Nokia not long after. But then, I decided to get a Sony Ericsson K750i, & I thought it was streets ahead of the Nokia!

So, it was only natural, that, when I wanted an upgrade, I stayed with what I loved!

This phone is awesome, the MP3 player is ace, & the camera is great - but, at the end of the day, its a phone. It texts, it rings people, it has a speaker on it, its incredibly easy to use, the quality is great, you get a good size memory in it (512MB card, with the potential of upgrading it to a 2GB, but honestly, who's going to use it that much? Most people have digital cameras, & iPods/MP3 players anyway) & the games are good, especially Quadrapop!

The only faults I have with this phone are that the battery life isn't fantastic if you're using the phone a lot, & Quadrapop is highly addictive.
