The music focused Sony Ericsson W760i comes in an attractive slide opening casing which is smooth & easy to open. The user can use their new phone either in the slide closed or slide open position when taking a call, listening to music & accessing the phones built in features. The user can slide open their handset when they feel the need to use the stylish metal keypad. The W760i is a 3G mobile phone which comes in three eye catching colours which include an intense black coloured casing, rocking silver colour & a fancy red casing. The intense black coloured casing has accents of yellow which really makes this phone stand out in a crowd & the rocking silver coloured handset accents of black which make this handset looks extremely sophisticated. The fancy red coloured Sony Ericsson W760i comes with silver effects which make this a highly fashion conscious handset. The W760i is a member of the Sony Ericsson Walkman® music range which includes the Sony Ericsson W880i, Sony Ericsson W890i, Sony Ericsson W950i & the Sony Ericsson W960i, which are desirable music focused handsets.

This 3G phone comes with a large display which provides the user with a high screen resolution & high colour capacity which can be viewed when the user has their new handset either in the slide open or slide closed position. The user can control all their built in features using the smooth navigation wheel & the Sony Ericsson W760i supports an auto rotate feature which allows the user to view their screen in both horizontal & vertical mode & whatever the user is viewing at the time will change to suit the position of the handset. The overall size of the casing is compact when compared to other phones with similar built in technologies & features which measures 103mm by 48mm by 15mm. The user can transfer tracks straight from their CD to their new phone, using a drag & drop method with the Disc2Phone CD ripping software. The user can enjoy viewing album art on their high colour screen. The built in shake control allows the user to change their music by simply shaking the handset when the shake control is activated. The shake control will randomly select a song from the user's playlist when the user shakes the handset & this selection is conformed to the user by a subtle vibration of the handset. The Sony Ericsson W760i supports a music recognition feature known as TrackID™ which allows the user to record a few seconds of a song they like the sound of & the TrackID™ feature will confirm the name of the song, the artist or band & the album within a few seconds. A built in Mega Bass™ allows the user to gain the best quality sound for the style of music being listened to & a PlayNow™ feature allows the user to download new music with three clicks of a button. A SensMe™ feature allows the user to create playlist based on mood & tempo so the user can listen to their slow songs, happy songs, fast songs or sad songs at a touch of a button. This music focused handset also provides the user with a built in radio feature complete with RDS which allows the user to read text information on their screen which is provided by the station the user is listing to.

A built in GPS navigator can assist the user with directions using Google™ Maps Mobile or Wayfinder™ navigator on the user's W760i. The built in 3G HSPDA technology provides the user with a high speed & multitasking mobile handset which allows the user to take part in a 3G video call with other compatible 3G video calling contacts. The phone supports EDGE which provides fast data transfers which are approximately three times faster than GPRS transfer rates. The Sony Ericsson W760i supports Bluetooth wireless connectivity between compatible Bluetooth devices & Bluetooth® stereo A2DP for a wireless sound experience. The user can use the USB connection to connect their 3G phone to compatible USB compatible devices. The W760i comes with 40 Mbytes of internal memory & the user can expand their memory further by adding a memory card as the phone supports Micro™ & M2™ memory cards. The W760i has now been release in the USA meaning we are soon to follow! Early June! It costs $405 unlocked so in the UK that's £200 but knowing big companies they'll make it expensive for us so expect £250!

This phone is supposedly coming out on the 15th May (in the USA), so it should be out in the UK shortly after that. & on pay as you go shouldn't cost more than £250 (about the same release price as the W910i, but that has depreciated over the past six months & can be bought for £120, so I'd advise, wait a couple of months, by then you'll know what it's problems are & it'll be cheaper! )

I've always thought that this brand was absolutely FANTASTIC & after seeing this phone, I want it so badly! However, I've been reading some previous reviews for the W910i & they are SO terrible! I am very worried that this phone will be like them as well!

I hope Sony Ericsson do their job extremely well for this phone. I will be checking reviews for it a few months after it is released & I seriously hope they are good ones. It's so hard to find a phone with good features, all the necessary things you need & a good design with the perfect matching colours. I put a lot of time & thought into choosing my phones because I rarely buy any so they HAVE to be PERFECT. Me choosing a phone is like getting married. For me, it's like forever unless they do something bad to you.

OH PLEASE be a fantastic high quality phone!
