I dropped it twice, now it turns itself off, has no earphone connection, bad audio, blurry camera & the rubber has come off, it's naff. I have to admit though, the music mate feature is good if you play an instrument. It could be better to be honest.

I did a review on this phone a short while ago & I still think it's a great phone. Since then all my friend's phones have broken when they dropped it once, my phone has been dropped several times but still works. The BAD point ill have to say is that the rubber case has started to come off on mine. But I have fixed it by buying 2 new cases, one in pink & one in grey! I LOVE THIS PHONE. I even us the fitness features now whenever I go out for a jog! I hope everyone with these phones are as satisfied with it as I am. Great & really cheap!

Great phone, particularly as they are so cheap. Had mine 2 months & it's great. Music player fantastic, easy to use & way better than the Motorola I had previously. Camera not so great, but this is a phone. If you want high quality pictures, buy a proper camera!

PROS, good unique design, very long battery life even when listening to music & playing games (I charge it every 3 days! ) & Casing is very strong (mine dropped about 3 times & still in perfect condition).

CONS, the side rubber casing comes off very easily. There is not many applications installed on the phone & very hard to find applications for the phone. There's no holes for a string to be put in.

I WOULD recommend THIS PHONE FOR YOU.

This is such a wicked phone. My friends have all got phones that are considered to be cool, but they are much harder to use & don't have a very good camera. If anyone is looking for a new phone I recommend this one. I have had it since July & have not been disappointed with it yet. The coolest thing about it is you can go out & buy different coloured rubber casing for it!

Just the superb phone I've ever seen. Got a great body, looks & the working is cool. Fitness application is great. The Walkman keys on top are too good. Fell many times, but nothing happened. Got a great camera & the look of the graphite colour phone is too sleek.

It's the BEST FLAP PHONE EVER. Recommend this Walkman phone to all.

Wicked Phone. Great for music, texting & calls. I love it. My last phone was a Nokia N95 & although it had loads of gadgets it was a nightmare. The only down point on the W710i is that the camera is not so good. But it's a music phone! I love the fitness feature too! I am averaging 5000 steps a day at the moment! Cool!

It's just a superb phone! It's got a sleek look & very good features. The keys for Walkman on the top are too good & the 2 mexapixel camera takes extraordinary pictures compared to other phones especially Nokia.

The sporty look gives it the best along with its features. Got a very good keypad, one can type in messages very fast & the fitness app. It's good to use, love this phone & will recommend to all Sony Ericsson Walkman phone lovers.

The phone is VERY GOOD when it comes to its features, it is also user friendly, plus it's a Walkman phone & with 512MB built in memory we can store good number of songs.

The DISADVANTAGE with this phone is the rubber covering comes out, & makes the phone look shabby. Apart from that the connection is loose so makes it a task to listen to songs.

I advise people not to buy this phone, because with these two disadvantages it becomes difficult to handle the phone.

The phone has various things that you would want to have such as a 2 mega pixel camera an external stylish screen buttons on the outside for your MP3 & the best thing of all the clearness of the sound when you have got it on full blast. It is absolutely fantabulous when you have got it on full blast. Imagine a hi-fi but a hundred times better. If I were you I would buy it before the stock runs out! This phones is the best!

Well I have been using this phone for almost 10 months. However, I don't encourage you guys to buy this phone. Firstly, the rubber casing on the outside gets loose & more than half of the rubber casing in my phone has already dropped out. Secondly, the phone is considered bulky. Thirdly, the connection cable at the bottom of the phone is rubbish. It has became loose (for mine) & I can't' listen to music or charge my phone properly.

I have a complaint regarding the phone. The colour of the phone is going within three months of use which is a matter of shame for such a reputed company. I was astonished seeing it & when I took it to the workshop, they say they are not going to replace it. Moreover the headphones connector also got loose & it's not possible for me to listen songs properly.

I've had this phone for 9 months now & I still love it & its unique cause it actually didn't sell in Canada. Love the pedometer feature, & it's pretty durable, I've dropped it more than seven times onto concrete & such & it's still working perfectly.

Only problem I am having with it now is that the headset gets disconnected easily with the phone & quite a bit of dust gathers inside the phone if you ever open the back.

I usually dispose off my phones every 6 months, but this is the only phone that's managed to stay with me for more than a year! This is a great phone, with the only drawback - sound output could have been better as it's in W550i. Apart for that, I'll still say this phone is awesome & it tops my charts in accordance to all the mobile phones I've used till date! I am afraid I'll need to sell my W710i as I have my eyes on the new W580i!

Bad thing are that personally I feel like the connection speed is somewhat too slow & I don't like to use the default browser on the keypad but use Opera Mini instead & dusts & dirt always accumulate on top of my camera lens & it's quite hard to clean them up.

I am here with the mobile. Everything is fine but the only problem is with the connections, all at one single point charging, ear phones, data cable, all at one point we need to operate any one thing only. The main thing is no cover for that bigger slot bottom i.e. charging point. As I have faced the problem like liquid damage with my sweat inside my pant pocket so that is the major drawback & no proper service centre here.

Very nice. I am just wondering if the fitness part really works.? Does it give the right values (calories, length. )? How about other sports than running, for example roller-skating or biking?

I am a Sony Ericsson fanatic. Flip-top phone buff. the phone is almost perfect but for the photo light. Wish it had one, because photo light for me is very useful, not only for camera but for other stuffs.

That's the only reason that I didn't buy this phone. Sticked with my w810i.

Wish that Sony Ericsson makes flip-top phone with good camera & photo light. By then it's perfect.

Please S.E. Make some.

One of the better looking phones in the market. I actually like the fact that it has a nice neat screen & not a huge one, like most new phones. If I wanted a PDA, I would get one. Personally, I prefer a device for each task - ANY compact digital camera would give you a better picture then ANY camera on ANY mobile phone - even the slimmest ones like the Casio S range. As far as PDA functions - get a blackberry or any of those smart phones if you want to combine them together. This phone has been design for 2 reasons - one: for fitness freaks. You can combine your pedometer/running timer with a music player, & two: a nice, small media player with good enough quality to listen to your favourite songs on the go, without carrying more then one handset. Better then carrying ipod & mobile phone at the same time. All the other stuff that all phone companies are stuffing into the handsets just making the phones more complicated & if something goes wrong, you don't have anything. I THINK THIS IS A GREAT PHONE, & IT SERVES the PURPOSE. So it's not the high end mobile, but really easy to use. If you come from Nokia, then you have to get use to a new menu system, but that is like anything new. So give it some time & you will like it.

I have been using this phone for over a month. I can be considered as someone who is diet conscious & fitness freak. I listen to music at work & at gym, so that's roughly 4 hours of continuous playback. The talk time is pretty less for I don't talk much.

So in my opinion, the phone is pretty good & value for money. I didn't like the battery case because it makes this stupid sound when you hold the phone & type messages. I didn't like the max volume from the internal speakers, Nokia 5200 is much louder than this one. I didn't like the whole idea that the front display is not customizable.

The walk man features are extra cool, & like the review, the top end volume lacks bass. The headset is cool, because it lets you do what ever you want & stays at the same place. Dropped it couple of times, once even from six foot, & still no scratch. 1GB memory should be the base option 512 is no good.

Hope this helps everyone. I am a flip phone freak. & felt the only flip phone next to N93 in Sony & Nokia brand is this one.

As a freak of good looking powerful small handys after Nokia 630i & Samsung D500 I had to get something new - a Sony Ericsson W700i!

But after having got the handset into my hands the problems started!

How should I open it to get the battery into it? I needed a knife to do it. After installing the SIM Card & the battery I tried to decipher the menu symbols. The manual doesn't help much.

I fond very few ringtones (some 10 or 20). Before searching a method to enter some numbers of friends I stopped the investigation!

Very many other handsets are a lot more comfortable & simpler to use as the W710i. The device itself isn't very handy.

I'll try to get another phone perhaps the Motorola K1 or the new Nokia. Sony-Ericsson doesn't have a good menu structure & one has to do many clicks to achieve even the simplest settings.

Poor build quality (compared to Motorola's V3i, my favourite phone. Is immortal in design & build)), comes with ear hook clip rubbish quality earphones (the previous model ear buds style supplied with the W800 (800 series) was good, further the phone suffers bass performance at the full volume -literally the bass is completely cut-off. Still the Sony Ericsson (designers)? never thinks to provide a separate earphones port-facilitating charging while playing music hooked to the Amplifier. One of the worst Walkman series phones, fitness applications I am not into so I've no comments.

I haven't got it, I think the design is great, it looks good, I have heard bad things about the front display screen that you can't see it properly or something, but I wouldn't mind haha. Yeah anyway, I can't wait to get it, Can someone put the bad points on here (Only if you have the phone) so I can see what bad things it has, I can't find anyone saying too much wrong with it!
