Without doubt, the worst phone I've ever had. The joystick is a nightmare, this phone will give you a nervous breakdown. The only thing it's got going for it, is it is almost smash proof, I've tried often enough. Got it as a present & I guarantee I'll never buy another Sony Ericsson anything as long as I live.

The phone is very very good. All those who are saying this that the camera is poor & there is no Bluetooth, I want to say at that price you cannot expect more. The sound quality is excellent.

But my phone is having a problem. When I insert a 1GB M2 card sometimes the phone cannot detect it & then I have to reinsert the card & after sometime the same is happening. Anyone can tell me if this is a problem of my phone or the memory card? Otherwise it is a great phone. Highly recommended.

Awesome phone. The way that this phone is set out is like no other. Sony Ericsson have made it very easy to do things.

Good Walkman feature also. Very solid, I have dropped mine many times & splashed some water on it by accident & it still works perfectly fine.

For its price, I think it is great.

I've had this phone for more than a year now. For the price, I most definitely recommend it. Excellent battery & excellent music. Picture quality is poor & the colour of the screen is too washed out & ugly. But it's really really durable. I think I've dropped this phone more than 40 times. Some from like 4 feet high & bounces off. It's still good. One time even the case was disassembled & the battery fell off yet there was no damage incurred!

Very good phone, love the mega bass feature! The only downside is the camera but as it is a music phone & not a camera phone this is pretty predictable. The battery lasts for a good amount of time allowing you to listen to your favourite music! This is a must have phone ideal for young people!

I've had this phone for a year & it has been great! I love showing it off & letting the charms dangle from the top & making them flounce & flow. I don't really like the camera, which is full of little squares when you take photos & the lack of Bluetooth is annoying when my friends get in on videos & tunes & I can't.

The joystick doesn't annoy me I find it good to wind it around in a circle & play (he he), I would recommend this phone for 1 year plus usage. It's a great phone that has given me lots of joy. It has a lot of room for charms, a lot of room for stickers & the buttons are great to use.

I've had it for about 8 months & it's a solid little phone with good features. Only problem is that if you use a memory card over 512MB it gets all confused & deletes your message occasionally. Oh & no Bluetooth, but it's not that much of a problem really. Nice little phone.

The camera is good, it has an MP3 & a radio! No Bluetooth BUT it has infra-red & USB connection cable, so it's not hard to get songs on the phone.

The earphones are so cool & I recommend the blue & white design (very pretty! ) LOL.

It has face warp & stuff, it comes with a memory stick. Its easy to use & I have had it for a year & I am still not bored of it. LOVE IT!

Now I understand the meaning of the W in Walkman series, it means Wow series. Excellent phone & affordable price.

Just one minus point & that is there is no Bluetooth. Else than that each & everything a Mobile owner wants from a mobile is there!

& I don't think so that I need to explain about the sound quality of the HEADPHONES with MEGA BASS creates absolute pleasure to your ears.

Easy to use! Full marks for the usability & slim & compact design (will you believe it? It just weighs 3 ounces (about 80 grams).

Just for the absence of Bluetooth I have given 80 to its features! But other than this, the phone with a 0.3 megapixel VGA camera with Excellent quality Videos & Pictures with 4x zoom & the sound device, sleek design, ROCK!

In the price bracket, it is a great phone. Sony Ericsson could have added Bluetooth which is in Samsung E250. Camera is OK, FM is wonderful, Walkman is excellent. But the most important is bundled software & data cable (is Nokia noting), not to mention the excellent headphone. I am using it for more than 1 year & never ever been hanged! Compact design, stable OS & good features. Reception is good, & about the battery, after using 1 year, now it stays for more than 3 days after full charging (remaining battery charge can be seen in % in the phone which is unique in Sony Ericsson).

In conclusion, if your budget is about INR 4000 to 4500, go for this one provided you accept no Bluetooth facility.

Very good phone for its price. Excellent battery life & great music listening. I've dropped my phone a couple of times but works like nothing happened.

Wish it had a better camera but for the price I think it does a decent job. Good pictures in daylight with night vision on.

5% off because it doesn't come with Bluetooth but the data cable solves that as well. Less headaches on the optimistic side :).

Buy this phone. It's worth the money.

I bought a W200i a few weeks ago & it's a nice phone it has some really good features such as the Walkman music player, FM Radio & Music DJ. It's a very easy phone to use & is very loud at playing music. It's also a great music player.

The M2 card that comes with the phone is a 128MB unit which can store about 30 to 35 songs it supports loads of music files MP3, MP4, ACC, AMR, IMY, MIDI & a lot of picture files.

The only downside's is that the VGA camera is average & it does not have Bluetooth. But other than them downsides it's a very good phone.

This is a very good little phone for the price you can pick one up for. I have had mine now for about 8 months & so far nothing has gone wrong with it. Its very user friendly & the features it comes with are top class, the same features you would find on the top of the range phones. It could do with Bluetooth but apart from that I can't fault it, very good phone to have. Perfect for your childs first mobile.

Hi, I got this phone mainly for music as it has a Walkman function & in this respect, the phone is very good. It plays MP3's with a slightly better sound quality than my, albeit cheap, MP3 player. The phone is supplied with a 128MB memory card (expandable), headphones, USB cable, driver disk & Sony are to be applauded for this as other manufacturers only supply the headphones.

The phone itself is not a design classic & feels aged to me. You may not want to show it off to all your friends. However, it seems quite solid & sturdy with nice rounded number keys. The only average point is the Select & Info keys are bevelled outwards making it trickier to navigate when it would seem easier to have these keys rounded. Yes, there is a small joystick which seems OK & you can select menus etc. With this anyway.

The screen & menus are nothing special & the phone has many now standard functions such as a camera & video. The camera seems poorer than the Nokia 2760 I have tried. It has no Bluetooth which I knew about. This may sway you away from this phone.

So, the phone is functional if not special & has an ageing design, but the music is very good. If this is what you require along with a decent cheap phone then this could be a good bet.

All you Guys who wrote reviews, don't think you've had your W200i for long, I've had it since Oct 2007, & though it's a cool phone to have for that lower budget, be warned, the joystick crashes after a while, the phone tends to hang like a computer does sometimes & sometimes it just goes off without warning (seldom, but it has happened). So if you have it, enjoy it while it lasts.

What I don't like is there's no Bluetooth & there's a little, sort of, joystick instead of a keypad which is hard to use & makes me press the wrong buttons.

Plus.
- Easy to use.
- Complete feature.
- Great sound (thanks to Sony Walkman technology).

Minus.
- No Bluetooth (but reasonable with the price).
- In MegaBass mode, middle tone is low, not suitable with classic or jazz music.
- Noflash, camera only VGA.
- External memory use memory stick, more expensive than micro SD.

Conclusion, great budget phone

Okay the Walkman is good but what's the point of having one when you can't even fit a decent amount of songs on it. Who wants to waste time constantly changing what music is on their phone when they should be able to fit it all on.

I have had this phone for a few months now & already there's problems with it freezing & doing stuff slowly it's a nightmare way too time consuming to use & a waste of money!

Bought this handset on O2 payg as a stop gap between contracts. Thankfully it's long gone after 2 months of use. The only redeeming feature on this phone is the Walkman. I found the joystick annoyingly unresponsive & reluctant to 'click' in the direction you want. Also the battery life considering the severe lack of modern features is appalling, for example a normal day at work using wap for about an hour & texting throughout practically kills the phone. It feels really unsubstantial & empty (which it more than likely is inside). I have liked all the Sony Ericsson handsets I've had over the years, but this one was very disappointing. It is cheap but then it doesn't have anywhere near enough modern features to warrant paying over 30 quid for it. So all in all a good phone for a young child, or someone who uses a mobile as an emergency item. But for anyone who likes to utilise various features on the move will be left disappointed.

For £29.99 I think I got a bargain. I only really need a phone to text & make the occasional call. My last Sony Ericsson cost me £20 2 & a half years ago & still works perfectly, I just wanted a change.

Don't buy this phone if you're a gadget head & want a fancy camera/Bluetooth/WAP but nevertheless it's a great phone!

Just got this phone today & am more than pleased. Got some mini speakers included with it as well which are great. For 35 quid I am more than happy, I was expecting to only get a very basic phone for this price, so to have the music capability of this phone is a total bonus to me. I like the way it looks, & yes there are a few things that could be better, but being a 34 year old I have yet to discover the joys of Bluetooth (don't knows why I would need it) & I have two perfectly good digital cameras anyway. I am fed up of buying phones that do 'this' & 'that', paying the earth for them, never using the fancy functions & wasting my money.

This is an excellent mobile phone that has a brilliant layout & can be transported very easily due to its light weight. At 30 quid from Argos, it was a great deal. The best feature about this is probably the great quality of sound from the Walkman music player & easy to use.

There are 3 main features that lets this product down.

- 0.3 megapixel camera, no light for taking photos at night & no auto focus either.
- No Bluetooth, it's a pity as the infared port is awkward to use.
- No more for your phone that includes downloading songs & not a proper Internet browsing system.

I bought this phone recently for £45 which included £10 airtime with Orange. I wanted a model that was smart, easy to put a few mp3s on to set as ring tones & generally user friendly. I wasn't disappointed & was up & running in a few minutes without reading the manual, it is that easy to use. The headphones & 128 memory card packaged with the phone are a nice touch & you can be listening to the radio or a few favourite tracks in seconds of switching on the phone. If I lose or damage this phone, whoopee doo, it won't break my heart or bank balance. In fact I'll buy the same phone again. Try out all the features on this value for money phone.

I bought this phone a few weeks ago on Asda mobile which is a very good tariff. The phone is a nice size & build quality appears to be good. It has a 128MB micro SD card included which is great. However I thought that I could save my texts onto this card but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this. Saving the texts as templates you have a maximum of 20 which is no good, the sim card can only save a handful. If anyone can tell me how to do this I would be grateful, the Sony website is no help at all. It would have been a good idea if the phone wasn't disabled when listening to the Walkman, when listening to the radio calls can still get through. The joystick thing is OK but sometimes you can press the button accidentally whilst nudging the stick from side to side but this is a minor problem. All in all though I like this phone.

Hi People, got this phone for one month now & I must say this phone is the Bomb. The speaker quality is great as is characteristic of Sony Ericsson's, the headphones provide a very deep bass sound & also clear reception for the radio stations. Battery life is OK, multitasking excellent, no hanging. Plus the phone can play video files in 3GP format. Internet browsing is OK only that the settings are a bit complicated than for other phones.

On the other hand the camera quality is nothing to write home about, no Bluetooth & the headset connecting port is the same one used as the charger port therefore no FM radio playing all night long for those of us who like leaving the FM radio on through the loud speaker all night.

Not a bad phone for 9, 000 KShs. Finally, if you are looking for a music phone, & on a tight budget, I'd recommend that you highly consider this phone. Adios!

A nice enough looking handset but letdown by a slightly flimsy feel but incidentally no worse than more pricy Sony Ericsson phones. I have an old T2610 & that feels bombproof compared to this & the K550 which a friend owns.

Pretty low quality camera, no Bluetooth & an average screen are low points but the interface is nice & easy to use, music player is big plus & the bundled headphones are surprisingly good. I just need a phone for basic communications & the Walkman feature is nice to have on the commute to work so this does the job.

The Sony Ericsson W200i is a lovely & stylish phone. It has a Walkman media player & VGA Camera. It is easy & simple to use. It has got a really bright & colourful screen. The phone is small & easy to carry everywhere. But it would have been better if Sony Ericsson thought of adding Bluetooth & maybe infra-red so it would be easier to get songs from your friend's phones instead on going on to the Internet & trying to download songs & using your USB cable. But overall it is a lovely phone to have.

This phone is rubbish, remarked another.

The Sony Ericsson W200i phone has most of the modern functions you would need in a mobile phone, but it's not what the users & reviewers need, they seem to be commenting more on what they want. This particular model of phone has all the basics, a basic camera, video, MP3 & Walkman, infra-red to more recent models, it does lack several features that would make the phone more ideal for users.

In conclusion, I personally feel that the Sony Ericsson W200i is a generally good phone, but several aspects, like the clarity of the photos, could be enhanced.

I got it really cheap £40 in comet, but the only reason I have not given it full marks is because of the lack of Bluetooth, I want to be able to share stuff with my friends & I am disappointed with the lack of it, I would happily pay an extra £10 just for Bluetooth. The camera isn't that good but I don't mind at all. The lack of Bluetooth is its 'Achilles heel'. Any Sony Ericsson is better than a Nokia, THEY'RE UGLY & AWKWARD.

Now a lot of people will blast this mobile due to the lack of features such as Bluetooth & megapixel camera but you get what you pay for. I bought this mobile from Tesco for £54 on Vodafone which included a £20 top up. I knew it only had infa red but the Walkman feature on this phone makes up for it. The battery life differs on what features you use on the phone. If you are making calls & text then you have more battery life, than if you use the Walkman. You can still get 3 hours plus on music I would say on a full charge. I have had this mobile for two months now & I am happy. Out of ten I would give it a 7 but saying that you will have to use it yourself to make your own decision on what rating you would give. Overall, another good Walkman mobile & the W200i is the cheapest on the market.

The W200i is a brilliant phone as it is easy to find your way around it & it has some nice features, however one of the features it does lack is Bluetooth, but I can't really complain because of how cheap the phone is (£50). The camera isn't very good but I am not really bothered about that either as I don't take many photos with my phone. The design is nice, it's small but not too small & the colour I chose (black) is nice although you can see finger marks easily. One thing that does annoy me about the design is that it's not a rectangular phone, the top & bottom are slanted a little, if you were to stand it up it'd fall straight down. If you look at pictures you'll see what I mean. I think this is an excellent phone as long as you don't care about Bluetooth & a very good camera. It looks nice, has some nice features & is cheap. What more can you ask for?

Hmm, bought the phone two days ago it's great. The bass reflex headphones are really doing the trick. Voice quality is great. Speaker is quite laud considering it has such a small speaker. The phone lacks Bluetooth & a sharper screen but with this price you would not except much. Camera is only for taking fun pictures not bad seeing that it's only a VGA camera. But Sony Ericsson didn't say it's a camera phone it's a music phone which is great. You should buy this phone. The battery is good but not good enough Sony Ericsson should improve there. There is no phone with such features in this price range.

This phone is easy to use & is good for general phone usage. The sound on this phone is good. Only problem is if you want to use Bluetooth but (for me) this wasn't a problem as I just plug the USB in & got music off the computer.

Overall I think this phone is great & would be worth getting. If you would use your phone for photos or use Bluetooth this phone would probably not be the best phone for you.

I have had Sony's for years but far more advanced models & never been let down by any.

Great all rounder for anyone under the age of 25 I would say who doesn't want hundreds of songs or live with a Bluetooth headset attached to their ears.

3. Nice

4. Good on battery

5.No Bluetooth - OK, what you want for £49? !

Someone wrote here - how can I extract SMS without Bluetooth? - Answer - Thru cable or infra-red as you will extract your messages to PC/laptop anyway & cable has by the way always the fastest data transfer speed.

This phone has both ups & downs. Before I start I am going to mention that the phone is worth is money (average £60). It has great sound quality for music (as do most Sony Ericsson walkmans) & it's a light & small phone. It also has a memory card slot (MicroSD) & comes with a 250MB card. This can be useful to upload your music/videos/pictures to your computer & vice versa. The downfall to this phone is the camera, with 0.3 meg camera the quality is not up to scratch for a computer screen, although it is fine quality for your phone. But then again - if you want good pictures, get a digital camera.

Bluetooth isn't included in this phone either, but infrared is - which is nearly as good, but not many people have it. This phone also has picture/video editing which can be useful & also quite fun if you are bored.

The Battery is good - you can listen to music for a few hours flat (on loudspeaker) without the battery running out, then again you probably wouldn't do that - but I am just making a point.

Overall I'd give this phone 8.5/10 & is definitely worth getting if you can get it for under 70 quid. They are currently selling it on Amazon for £114 or something silly like that, which is the Sony Ericsson price.

8.5/10 WORTH GETTING.

This phone is excellent, I love it plus it is a Walkman phone. It is worth the price, I brought mine for $40 which was worth it.

For £60, which is what I paid, I am astonished as to what it does. It's an amazing sleek, stylish, phone, which even plays music! Love it! If you want an entry level phone, this is definitely the one for you!

It has 1.3 MP camera. But it is a far better phone as compared to Nokia 3230. 3230 is 9500, W200i is 7300/-. Far more conserving. EQUALLY equipped. Get the data cable free, 128 MB memory card free.

I absolutely love this phone! OK, it doesn't have Bluetooth & the camera isn't that good but who cares! It has infra-red which is just as good & phone cameras are only meant to be for fun photos anyway. The music player is brilliant & it comes with free headphones & a 128MB card which is a fantastic deal for just £70, my friend bought the w850i for £120 & the music on my phone is way better! It's dead easy to use, is really cute & small, & just overall a great phone, buy it!

I am happy to say that the phone has entered into the local markets. Well the phone is great. Nice design, simplicity, upgradeable, large keypad, comparatively large screen, user friendly, nice colour, everything is good. But the only thing that annoys me is its price 7200/- & w300i is 8200/-. Now one compares w200i to w300i & w300i is absolutely not a phone for every one & definitely a w200i.
