I've had this phone for a few weeks now. I haven't had any problems with it yet, except for a slight battery issue. It seems to have cleared up now, especially after I cycled it.
The design is really quite appealing to look at. The only part of the phone that shows fingerprints to a bad extent is the mineral glass display. But it's comforting to know it won't get scratched easily. The lights & themes are interesting, particularly the one that changes colour throughout the day. The special effects for specific holidays were amusing as well, hearts drifting down the screen for Valentine's Day, snowflakes for New Years. Etc.
The buttons take a little getting used to, but they fit the purpose they were built for. I actually find it easier to text with these buttons rather than the standard type. Contrary to some rumours, the D pad's paint hasn't peeled yet & shows no sign of doing that any time soon. The camera jutting out at the back cause me a little concern, but it seems to be shallow enough to not cause significant problems.
The features were fine & they are good enough to suit my needs. Just plenty of texting & fiddling around. The camera images are a little blurry, but that may just be me accidently moving the phone when taking photos. PhotoDJ proved to be a novelty for me, along with the camera modes: 'Panorama' & 'Burst.'
Like the general Sony Ericsson phone, the phone was very user friendly. The screens were easy to navigate & the response when moving between screens was fast, no problems. It's quite easy to find your way around, without having to use the manual, even to find little known sections.
It's a pretty hardy phone, as I've accidently flung it across the room onto a wooden floor & the phone came away without a single scratch or mark. I've dropped it other times as well, but a little polishing with a cloth returns it to its just like new condition.
Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. The hefty price tag may be a little deterring for other though. But really, it's a joy to use & in my opinion, it's an excellent phone, worth a serious consideration.

The comment about a small scratch looking like a big one is a myth! I have dropped mine & scratched it plenty of times & small scratches are barely noticeable. As for the screen its self repairing so small scratches disappear! It looks fantastic, battery lasts about 2 days for me even with playing music or games don't know how I have had any other phone before!

Great phone had it a few months now no problems & has a good solid feel to it, real class.

Brilliant phone. The best I've ever had (although I suppose that's not hard as everyone buys a better phone than their previous one) Anyway, the design is great, looks really stylish & the stainless steel means the paint won't wear off like it did on my plasticy old Sony Ericsson.
The screen us exceptional, in intense sunlight outdoors it's still easily visible. I think something to do with the mineral glass puts a slight glaze on the screen so you don't tend to get true white it kind of has a sepia like tint though it's very faint. The screen quality is one of my favourite things about the phone, it's so much clearer & has more clarity than any other phone I've seen.
The camera is brilliant 3.2MP on a phone with autofocus & flash, works a treat.
The phone has some really nice touches like the lighting effects. The underwater theme is amazing. The colour of it changes depending on the time of day & movement of the theme is also shown through the lighting on the key pad. You get a really cool charger with it too.
Overall the phone is great as it's made from very durable materials & has excellent specs & some very nice touches.

Well to start with the phone the reason I got was because they let me exchange it with the O2 XDA without extra money. The t650i is a beautifully designed phone no doubt about that but no for what it retails at it's not worth it, it's a standard Ericsson phone with the option of the keypad to illuminate in a synchronous way. This is possible only by the factory themes of which only 4 are available, 3.2 MP cam does the job right when compared with the N73 the N73 has the edge the camera does not have a flash but it is a light. The ergonomics of the phone is just beautiful if you get a bargain on eBay or any sale or deals on this phone it is worth the price.

Sony Ericsson Walkman phones are getting worse & worse. The software on them is getting better like the new Walkman player etc but new Walkman phones don't have camera lights, auto focus, really small rubbish speaks which are tinny, still only have 2 MP cameras, bad internal memory, I could go on. If you want to buy a good Walkman phone go for the W810i.

What a fantastic phone. Never really liked Sony Ericsson designs but the guy in the shop persuaded me to change from my usual Samsung phones & what a brilliant change. Many features on the phone with anything you can ask for. Very happy with the phone & do not intend on changing in for a while. Only thing which could be improved is the camera as for an expensive latest phone 3.2 mega pixels is not a lot seeing as older phones have higher.
All round though wouldn't change it for any phones on the market at the minute.

Hey, it's a fashion phone, not a feature phone. That's why it looks & feels great. My only complaint is the poor speaker on the back. My MP3 ringtones don't sound so good, but other than that a great piece of work by Sony Ericsson.

Having been with Nokia since the stone age I decided a change was due & ended up with this t650i (sim free) & so far so so good. It's my first camera, MP3, radio phone & I have to say that I am enjoying the process of learning a new phone & the way it operates but of course I do have a few 'issues', as you might expect, coming from the fossilised brick that was my Nokia 6100 !
As a whole the camera is very good & easy to use but the zoom only applies after you have taken the shot which is a shame & as mentioned below, the bumph doesn't tell you this, you just find out, eventually! The video is not as good as the camera but then I am a novice at this so I am not too fussed about that side of things.
Yet, I can't comment on the music player because I can't seem to install the disc that came with the phone to transfer the tracks but then again I am not too bothered about this either because I mainly want the radio for work which I think is very good (sound/earphones excellent), so it kind of balances out for me on that scale.
The ease of texting is mainly what swung it for me eventually, I am an avid texter & most phones these days seem to require the user to have really, really small fingers or no need to text at all & despite the buttons looking quite vicious on the t650i they are in fact very easy to use with the minimum of muck ups when writing, so overall I am pleased. Frankly I am a fussy person (according to my missus! ) & this phone is working for me at least but my biggest problem is that the thing is so smooth its way too easy to slip through my fat digits & be dropped. Oh well, you can't have everything your own way. Though I do try. Overall a nice phone & I say get one. Nuff said.

I thought of buying the phone but it has a very high SAR value of 1.8 Wkg & considering health more important than sleek design I'll go for another!

I've had mine for about a month now. As a phone it's great, lightweight, slim, intuitive to use. The camera is not the best, my husband's K800i was much better & his new K850i is in a different league. On the T650i the camera zoom only works on the VGA setting (not that Sony tell you this in the manual or on the website, you have to pay 10p a minute on their technical helpline to find this out) &, as someone else has commented, the video quality is poor.
By far the best feature from my point of view is the way it synchronises with Microsoft Outlook. My phone is a work tool & being able to have my calendar, notes & tasks with me wherever I am is vital. The sync is very easy to set up & works brilliantly.
I like the music player, radio, etc. But for me these are just bonuses as they are not why I bought the phone & there are probably better ones on the market if these are the features that matter to you.
Overall very happy with the phone, not so happy with Sony Ericsson as a company (if you're going to charge for your helpline, then don't put people on hold! ).
