Sony Ericsson R300i Review

This stunning radio featured mobile phone comes in an eye catching casing which oozes style. The Sony Ericsson R300i is a member of the Sony Ericsson R range which includes other radio focused handsets including the Sony Ericsson R306i. The R300i is a solid bar design handset which comes with a high quality radio & sound features. The handset is available in an antique cooper colour which is mainly black on the front of the handset & a light cooper colour on the back. The steel back colour option is mainly silver on the front & black in colour on the back of the R300i. This incredible radio mobile phone comes in a compact casing which feels good to hold on a single hand. It measures 101mm high by 46mm wide by only 12mm deep which is easy for the user to use & fits in the users pocket easily when not in use. The Sony Ericsson R300i weighs seventy five grams which is lightweight by the handset does not feel flimsy due to its luxurious coating & solid shape.

The R300i comes with one screen which provides a high quality display for the user to view their radio information, wallpapers, menus, pictures & much more. The screen is 1. 8 Inches in size which makes a good viewing area on this neatly presented mobile handset. The main feature on this wonderful looking phone is the built in radio feature which allows the user to access & listen to FM & AM radio whenever the user feels the need. The handset comes with easy to access radio keys & radio controls which are located on the back & the front of the handset for easy access. The user can get the very best sound from their radio by pressing the audio enhanced key. The Sony Ericsson R300i comes with a high quality loud speaker which is situated on the back of the handset which enhances the ultimate design of this phone as well as providing crystal clear sound out loud for the user to enjoy their radio entertainment. If the user is requiring a private listening experience then the stereo headset provided with the R300i allows the user to gain a private listening experience by plugging in the headset & away they go. The Sony Ericsson R300i comes with a TrackID™ feature which is a music recognition feature which allows the user to find out the name of a song they like the sound of in a few seconds. The TrackID™ feature is becoming very popular is a great way to find out all the music information quickly. The radio comes with many useful features which include a radio RDS, recording & a radio alarm. The radio RDS feature will provide the user with text information on the screen which is sent from the radio station & allows the user to read information whilst listening to their favourite station. The information provides can contain the name of the song being played by the radio station or general information. A built in alarm feature complete with a radio wakeup call allows the user to wake up each morning listening to their favourite station. The user can access the Internet on their Sony Ericsson R300i which allows the user to view all their favourite Internet sites using the integrated WAP 2.0 browser. The phone supports MMS & SMS messaging services which allow the user to share picture or text messages with other compatible messaging contacts. The user can send, store, edit & receive SMS messages which contain text & symbols to their friends & family which is a great way to stay in contact. The MMS messaging service allows the user to send, receive, store, edit & delete messages containing pictures with text & sound. The R300i supports a predictive text function which will assist the user when typing text input as the words are predicted for the user as the user starts to type which the user can either accept or decline. The user can enjoy games on their new mobile phone as the R300i supports Java™ games which the user can easily download on to their handset for a fun gaming experience. A built in VGA digital camera feature provides the user with a quick & easy to use camera for capturing those fun parts of the day. The camera comes with an easy to access camera menu which allows the user to access stored pictures as well as a picture editor.

The R300i comes with eight Mbytes of built in memory which allows the user to save their contacts, messages, radio recording & pictures with ease. The phone supports Bluetooth® technology which allows the user to enjoy a wireless connection to other Bluetooth® compatible devices including the user's printer & PC. The Sony Ericsson R300i comes with an USB connection point which provides the user with another connectivity option if using Bluetooth® connection is not an option. The rechargeable battery provides approximately 9 hours of battery talk time from a fully charged battery or approximately 410 hours standby battery time. The R300i is a tri band technology mobile phone which covers three GSM networks which include GSM 900, 1800 & 1900.
