Great phone to have. When I got it I fell in love with it.
But after a couple of days I faced one problem that when I was sending quite a bilk of pictures from my phone to another my Nokia 6233 phone, after sending quite huge amount of data, my k810 just hangs on & when I pressed any key it gets restarted. But don't get afraid friends because I experimented this thing many & many times on my both Sony k810 & Nokia 6233 phones. At the end I got to the point that all this was happening because of my Nokia 6233 phone. When the memory of it gets something filled up not full, it holds on the Bluetooth incoming transfer. As a result my Sony k810 hangs up & when I press any key or try to cancel the transfer, it gets restarted. After restarting I again try to send the same or some other file from k810 to Nokia but it won't send & again same thing happens. But LISTEN CAREFULLY now, when again I try to send the same file from k810 to Nokia & it can't send it BUT NOW IF I DELETE ANY FILE OR A COUPLE OF FILES FROM Nokia PHONE & TRY AGAIN TO SEND ANY FILE FROM K810 TO Nokia, IT SUCCESFULLY TRANSFERS the FILES. Now friends I got my answer & that was my question from you all, you all experiment this thing & post here, whether I am right or wrong. Should I approach the Sony service centre or this thing is normal? Waiting for your comments.

Hi everyone, I have had this phone since 7 months & can briefly tell you the positives & the negatives according to my experience.
The positives.
- Fairly good design.
- Fairly good usability.
- Great camera quality & flash.
- Also great for media.
- Easy to use.
The negatives.
- Battery (a problem with every modern phone these days).
- Poor video recording quality.
For some people this might help them make their decision to buy this phone.
Overall I would recommend this phone & give it about 80 to 90 percentage score.

I found this phone very frustrating to use. I usually get bored with phones after about a year but was desperate to get rid of this one after a couple of months. The menus drove me mad as it seemed to take ages to find the feature I wanted. On the plus side it is a nice looking phone, although maybe slightly large & heavy & it has some good features, I love Facewarp!
The camera is good but the slider that covers the lens keeps coming open whilst the phone is in your bag or pocket & could lead to scratching or dirt etc on the lens.
There is a REALLY ANNOYING function that makes your screen go black if you don't use the phone for a few SECONDS. You have to press a key to get the screen back to life & it doesn't always work first time! I could not find a way to lengthen the time before this happened & it was so exasperating when writing texts.
The key pad is AWFUL. On the positive side the metal keys are well spaced apart but I am a texter rather than talker & little metal buttons physically hurt my thumb. I've now gone for a Nokia & this is so simple to use it is marvellous.

HELP WANTED. I am a DIE HARD fan of Sony Ericsson cyber shot phones! But the problem is that there are too many of them & all of them have different features. Some have EDGE but others don't. The k810i is a phone I am SERIOUSLY considering to buy. But does it support m4a format tracks like in the W810i? & does it have EDGE?

Had this since summer 2007 & love some aspects of it but now (9 months later) it seems to have had it.
I never drop it, always keep it in a case & it has been really well looked after & looks fabulous. But it has got progressively slower & slower starting up & changing from mode to mode, & has always been a glitchy & frustrating when navigating around, & now the toggle & buttons are freezing up randomly for hours on end which makes it useless, especially in emergencies!
It's going to have to go back this weekend as I rely on constant contact. I also take loads of pictures, so need a reliable, portable camera.
In addition, things that are particularly annoying.
- the energy saver means the screen cuts out constantly in the middle of texting & searching etc.
- the original battery lasted no time (& the second is only a little better).
- Everytime I pick it up I am logged on to the net! The position & design of this button is seriously flawed!
- the lens cover slips open all the time when not in its case.
- When zooming in to take a picture, after seeing the image, you have to re zoom each time as it doesn't stay with your last position, VERY frustrating when you want to take lots of shots in a hurry.
- the camera mode changes to video mode constantly between shots which means I waste time changing back again.
- You have to save the videos before exiting or your work is lost.
That's all I can think of for now, but I am sure there's more. I researched this phone so thoroughly before I bought it (paying £90 for the model) that at last I thought I'd found the perfect phone. Truly disappointed am I.

It looks good. The features good but it is the same as the k800i but I think the k810i is better. Better than the w580i I had that befroe the keys cracked so easily. Love this phone.

Had this phone for 10 months now, very good indeed, maybe the best phone I've ever had! Reliable, Sturdy & solid, dropped it so many times & still working, little tatty now. I am going to get a Sony Ericsson C902 when this dies. Only gripe is the little dangle thing on the bottom sticks out & is quite annoying. Best texting I've ever had on a phone too.
Highly recommended.

I was initially pleased with this phone, but am getting seriously ticked off with it frequently going on to EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY mode. It does it in areas of normal signal, & seemingly completely at random.

Love everything this phone has to offer, great camera & features. But there's just one tiny problem, this may not seem big, but whenever you used the phone, your fingerprints will be smudged all over the keypad & screen, & to me, it seemed quite annoying.
Being a perfectionist I suppose, I have to clean the screen now & then, because I can't stand to see any fingerprints on my beautiful phone. But overall, this is a superb phone, & I definitely would recommend it to everyone.
Heard that Sony Ericsson just released K850i, can't wait to get my hands on it.

I don't have this phone but if it is anything like the K800i, which I believe it is, then this phone is awesome, if you like taking pictures then you will be hard pushed to find a better cam phone. I recently got a K770i after wanting one for ages, only to find that the camera does not have a flash, gutted! I love the styling of the phone but that one thing put me off it completely. So it's going on eBay! Stick with the K800 or K810 even the K880 is not as good as the old boys.

Came back & found it in the road, just had a few scratches & that's it! The camera is quality too. BUT like others have mentioned on here, if you forget to lock your phone & it's in your pocket, you are guaranteed as monster phone bill because one click & your automatically logged onto the net!

Hi K810 users. May I ask you to advise me which mobile is better K810i or K770i. They have differences in digital camera, K810 has photo & video stabilizer & red eye reduction & 770 doesn't. But are these photos much differ? Is stabilizer & red eye reduction useful? Have you ever compared photos & videos made with K770i & K810i? Thanks in advance.

I have now had this phone since early July 2007 I do think this phone is good but after about 3 months its starts to get slower. The joysticks starts to stick & it can be a real pain having to scroll down menus. The camera is still great & having dropped the phone hundreds of times on concrete, wood, tiles & metal the phone still isn't showing a scratch. If you are looking for a camera phone this is the phone to get. Mine has only frozen 2 times & I have never had to go back to the shop with it. The standby memory might be a bit on the low side but on amazon you can pick up a M2 memory card for about £20.
P.S. The speakers are reasonable & all of the functions like track id do work but the major problem is the Internet BUTTON this button is so annoying because in your pocket it presses its self making you waste credit or go over your contract by a lot of money.

I love everything about it, I have had it for a month & a half now. I have had NO problems with it, the joystick works great & the speakers are perfect so I'd why everyone is complaining. Storage system in phone is great, even the memory stick it comes with is awesome. 3G video is fun to sue as well. The Bluetooth capabilities are awesome too. My ONLY issue with this phone is its lack of Wi Fi, otherwise it's a great phone & I highly recommend it to someone who's looking for a good unlocked phone.

I've had this phone for a few months now, at first it was great, love the features, camera etc, recently its gone very slow, no response when you try to unlock it, joy sticks very, very slow to respond, the back key & the Orange world key have come off, rang Orange for an exchange, they said they've never had this problem before & passed the buck on to Sony, I rang Sony & they want me to post the phone to their repair centre, which can take up to 3 to 5 days to repair, who pays, phones insured with Orange, what do I do without a phone for 3 days, I work for myself so I need a phone at all times
Orange say they have never had this problem before, are they right, have I got the only phone in the UK where the keys have fallen off?
It's probably the best phone I've had for features but the worst I've had for being slow & unresponsive. Come on Sony & Orange get your act together.

When I first got this phone I was in love with it, then after I while it got a bit tedious.
I've had to take mine back to Carphone Warehouse 3 times now. One was that it kept turning off. Two was because the buttons came loose & fell off & thirdly the camera flash had removed itself when they done & software update on it & the phone's buttons had come off again.
The phones camera quality is amazing. It comes with editing features & flash is superb. The sound quality of the phone is good & clear without any muffling. The annoying thing is that the buttons are small & it's very chunky & heavy.
I've had many troubles with this phone & it gets on my nerves quite regularly. One with it being slow, I also have memory card so that can't be the reason.
I personally wouldn't recommend it but at the end of the day it's your choice & no one else's.

A real good phone with amazing Video & Audio clarity.
Pluses
- Amazing Video Clarity.
- Amazing Audio Clarity.
- Smooth transition between menu items.
- Two neat keys on the top to have quick access to photos.
- Great way of arranging keys on the key pad.
- Xenon flash which otherwise is not so common with mobile phones.
- Dual camera phone to help you have video conferences.
- At par with the Sony Walkman Series phones.
- Worth you money.
Negatives
- Average speaker output.
- Poor battery backup.
Fact, it is difficult to get all the features we want in one phone. But for the above two obvious disadvantages, this is a great phone to have.

Yeah the web does come up, but if you put the phone on lock then it won't, & because the camera cover keeps opening I put it in a phone sock & its fine.

This phone is superb, there are 2 games that are OK, but for the best games you have to pay, but what do you expect?
The lens cover slides open a bit but that is because it is in & out of my pocket all of the time. Had the phone for three months & not one fault with it so far, & I have had terrible luck with everything I have bought in 2007, this phone is excellent & I would recommend it to anyone.
The camera (3.2MP) is awesome, has photo fix, & photo create & face warp were you can do amazing things with photos. It's not a Walkman phone but has the design to be one, there's a music layer that works exactly the same as the Walkman phones :).
This phone has a thumbs up from me, it's just superb.

The phone is a great design, great size. I have not come across any defaults on the phone at all saying I have had this phone for many months now & maybe it's just you guys who have said it's a poor phone just treat it right? I would highly recommend this phone & I hope Sony E carry on making these fantastic Cyber Shots.

This is ONE OF the BEST mobile phone in the market.
You just have to take time to learn & explore the features. For those out there who has it, be patient with it, take time to learn the menus, especially if it's YOUR FIRST TIME TO OWN A Sony Ericsson mobile phone! DISCOVER EVERY DETAIL OF IT. You'll love it until another best comes out of the market, probably by 2010 another best mobile phone would come out of the market.

I loved this phone at first it's really easy to text & looks great. That was until the problems began. I have now had 4 of these from Orange.
I would not recommend this phone at all. My friend has the k800i & this is much better quality. Hers has lasted so much longer.
Problems on mine include the camera breaking & generally not working & echoing on the line.
STAY AWAY.

I liked the look of it & the excellent camera, but as a few others have said.
- the camera cover keeps sliding open.
- There are no free games so my son was very disappointed.
- Don't know whether it's a problem associated with this phone & Orange, but the buttons are erratic & often don't work & the phone slips into the web connection costing me too much!
I'd be happy if it could be fixed & work properly & dread a situation that it's this bad after a couple of months, what will it be like in 18 months. I have contacted Sony Ericsson, waiting to hear from them.

On the whole not a bad phone. I will agree that the speaker could do with being turned up even more. On maximum it's barely heard without the vibrate function enabled.
I have had my phone a little over 5 months & it has already been in for repair once already after the number & letter keys froze up & I was unable to use it. Couldn't even dial 999 if I wanted to!
Most annoying feature is that there is a button above left of the number 1 key which when knocked in your pocket will connect to the net. Great way of losing yourself money when you pay for downloads etc.
Back to Nokia for me on the next one.

Got this phone for 2 weeks already & there's no problems I've encountered, & about the negative comment that it has a low speaker, well that may be the reason why it's called a cyber shot & not Walkman a phone, if you can live with it then get this phone, it really doesn't matter, but if not try other Walkman phones.

I would like to give comments to the last poster.
I have the K810i & it works great. I have it several months already. I think that you might want to check your sim card. I never had such problems & about the one key that brings you back to the main screen, just press long on the back button. This will get you back to the main screen.

I bought one of these in August & although it looks very pretty, it is not working well. It is difficult to switch on & off. When I do switch it on, it won't recognise my PIN. I have to switch it off & on about 20 times & re enter the pin each time before it will work. Once it has recognised my pin & got working it is fine. I wouldn't say it was a great phone though, why isn't there a home key to get you back up through all the menus? (or have I just not found it yet? ).

Hello people. Can anyone help me? I am about to buy this phone & my current phone is N73, but LOL its already beaten up! & I am bored of it, I want something new & exciting with great style like the K810i but I tried looking around to Sony Ericsson stores but they said they're out of stock!
I really love the design & the little round keypads, look absolutely amazing ! They're unique! The shape of the phone is also amazing plus the colour or the phone. I love the blue one. I was thinking about buying a 5MP camera phone but no phones with that 5MP are as stylish as K810i.
I heard a lot of problems about the speaker but as much as I love photography & music. I love the style & picture quality, music in mobile phones, I am not a big fan of that since we have iPods. I am looking forward to buying this baby. But that's if I can find it.

Orange Network or Phone? I have had a problem with this phone from day one & the great thing is every time I try & phone the Orange network to report it the phone hangs up! The problems are that it is really slow it takes 30 seconds to respond when I press the buttons or if I try to answer it won't answer at all which means I have to phone everybody back, good ploy to make money. I have had other phones on the Orange network (Nokia) which I have had similar problems with. Any clue why?

Hi. I bought this phone yesterday. The best part of the phone is the 3.2MP Camera & the auto fix feature (though it takes 15 seconds to fix the picture but the feature is really nice). Above all it comes with 2Gb card :) so keep clicking. If you are a camera lover then this is the right phone for you.
The worst part of the phone is its speaker. (It's really low as compared to any other Sony phone). In fact at full volume you can calculate a low speaker noise. If you are a music lover then do try another phone.
Overall the phone is nice & almost similar to K790i.

Hi, this phone is the best camera phone, Great phone but I have now had to send it back, the MAIN THING IS SOUND. THIS PHONE SPEAKER SOUND IS VERY LOW, WHEN you KEEP IT YOUR POCKET you MUST ACTIVATE VIBRATION OTHERWISE you GET LOTS OF MISSED CALLS.
SO MY POINT OF VIEW IS you CAN'T SHOW YOUR CAMERA to ALL BUT WHEN RING TONE WILL APPEAR ALL ATENTION WILL BE THERE. IN THIS POINT you MAY GO for Nokia 6233 (LOW PRICE BUT SOUND GREAT, CAMERA AVERAGE) OR Nokia N73 IT'S BEST. (CAMERA, SOUND, ALL FEATURE LOADED) Thanks.

I am satisfied with my K810i, I traded my Samsung D900i because I was not contented with the photography features of the D900i. So far the best 3.2 megapixels camera phone in the market. Well done again Sony Ericsson, continue to excel in the photography mobile market!

Completely satisfied with this phone, love every function, the camera could be better though, but not by much. Everything is great, working fine!
But, they should offer the option for turning the confirmation back on when you log onto the net, as it keeps accidentally connecting & wasting my money!
Other than that, I have to say it's the best phone I have experienced so far. Although, the K850i looks a beast.
