The Sony Ericsson K550im is a i-mode™ mobile phone which comes with high quality Internet & imagining features. The handset is lightweight which weighs only 85 grams & feels good in the users hand due to its compact design. The K550im comes in a compact sized casing which measures 102 x 46 x 14mm which in slim enough to slip in the users pocket. The phone comes with 64 Mbytes of internal memory & the user can add a Memory Stick Micro™ M2™ memory card to expand the phones memory capabilities to suit their storage needs. The mobile phone comes in a jet black coloured finish which oozes style & enhances the overall design of the handset. The K550im comes with a large high resolution colour screen which is above the dedicated keys, navigation key & easy to use keypad. The dedicated keys, navigation key & keys of the keypad come in a metal finish which highlights the keys & looks incredibly stylish. The K550im is a member of the K range designed by Sony Ericsson which includes other models including the Sony Ericsson K200i & the Sony Ericsson K220i.

The i-mode™ feature comes with a dedicated i-mode™ key which allows the user to access their i-mode™ feature quickly without scrolling through menus. The i-mode™ feature allows the user to access online games, news, music & video. The i-mode™ feature comes with a preinstalled iMail & iMMS service. The Sony Ericsson K550im provides the user with a mobile Internet experience which is fast & fun to use. The user can multitask with their mobile phone which allows them to access the Internet whilst on a call which will save the user time & effort.

The Bluetooth® technology allows the user to enjoy a wirefree connection between devices with Bluetooth® technology. The user can enjoy a connection across a range of ten metres. The user can transfer files, synchronise compatible Bluetooth® devices & multitask with Bluetooth® technology. The phone comes with a USB connection which allows the user to experience a cabled connection between USB compatible devices when Bluetooth® connectivity is not an option. The K550im comes with EDGE technology which will make everything faster for the user to enjoy. The user can enjoy high speed downloads, Internet & email service with the help of the built in EDGE technology. The battery will provide up to seven hours of talk time & approximately three hundred & fifty hours of standby battery time. The phone comes with a built in music player which allows the user to have their favourite songs with them at all times. The phone comes with a PlayNow™ feature which allows the user to purchase a new ringing tone with three clicks of a button & the cost of the purchased ringing tone will be sent to the user via SMS messaging. The Sony Ericsson K550im i-mode™ mobile phone comes with a 2.0 megapixel Cyber-shot™ digital camera which comes with a slide open lens cover. The Cyber-shot™ technology provides the user with clear & precise imaging which is the same as their digital camera. The camera feature comes with an auto focus feature, screen viewfinder & dedicated menus with selectable effects. The auto focus feature targets the subject in the shot & centralises the subject so that the user gets the perfect shot. The user can capture their memories as still photos or as video clips. I think this is the world's best phone. If it had a bit more memory, & more battery time, it would even top the iphone!

My mum got an iphone recently & it was a absolute rip off!

The camera is bad, has bad memory & it would be cheaper to buy three of these Sony Ericsson's! I don't like it. Apple rarely rubbish up their products, but I think this one is rubbish.

Buy a K550IM instead. Stay away from iphones!

The BEST PHONE I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I LOVE the Bluetooth, infra-red, the CAMERA, the LIGHT, the MEMORY & iMODE. VERY EASY TO CONNECT TO Internet & iMODE. I BOUGHT THIS PHONE IN AN IRISH SHOP & THEY GAVE ME A MEMORY STICK WITH IT FOR FREE SO I WOULD recommend THIS PHONE TO FIRST TIME BUYERS IN EVERY SENSE POSSIBLE.

I purchased this in order to download from Sony Ericsson website but it doesn't. Tried there help line twice only to be told to reset factory settings losing all my themes & numbers etc. Emailed there help desk 6 times still waiting for a response. Spoke to O2 they gave up & suggested I should speak to Sony. Right pain.

I brought this phone only last week now. As I just needed a new nice phone to use when am out & about. Perfect phone nice & slick love the blue light from the bottom just a nice slick phone to use & I love it especially if you just need a nice new slick phone to use with great 2.0 megapixel auto focus flash cybershot camera great for taking pictures with even those there are better phones with like 5 megapixel but with a nice slick easy to use everyday phone like this its perfect, video recording, MP3 player to listen to music, nice big colourful screen, nice & small phone & nice & smooth black matt finish too well I got a case on my one to protect the screen & that I have got use to holding the phone with the case on so every time I pick up my sister phone who has the same phone too or my one without the case it can get a little bit slippery, keeps slipping out of my hand but don't let that put you off. For a price of £49 plus £10 top up I mean what more can you ask for with a nice phone at such a cheap price.

The buttons on my phone, in particular the 0 & the 4 keep sticking so I find it very hard to use when dialling & especially when texting. I have already got this phone replaced once because of this problem & will be bringing it back again very soon. The phone itself is slim & lightweight & features are fine on the phone itself but the problem with the buttons sticking is very annoying.

I have had this phone for about a week & when I bought it I liked it very much but a few days later, when I tried to upload videos onto it, it wouldn't play them. The only type of video file that it would play was 3GP videos. I am very upset by this & am having second thoughts. Other than that, it is a cracking phone & also looks nicer than the k750i.

I've had this phone now for just over 6 months & the difficulties are starting to shine. The buttons are starting to stick & I am getting really annoyed. This phone is great but a poor upgrade from the k750i tomorrow. I am buying the k810i & will be leaving a review of it soon.

Very unimpressed with this poor excuse for an upgrade for the K750. Very few new features, a camera that provides difficulty when trying to take a photo in focus that isn't blurred & a frustratingly varying time lag between when you can take the next photo (sometimes 2 secs, sometimes 30. Great when you want to catch that once in a lifetime moment!) the buttons are also too small & close together. I would not recommend. Mine is going straight back for an alternative.
