Sony Ericsson K310i Review

Hi, I used K310i. It is a nice smart phone. The only problem I am facing now is the memory stick. When others use your mobile they often used mini handle not carefully.

Programming & managing Software is OK.

You cannot use external memory for this phone. Bye.

This is a fine little phone for what it is, a phone.

If you want an all singing & dancing phone that can also be your MP3 player or camera, then look for something else. As mentioned, the memory & camera are very poor, also the supplied earphone is mono (one earpiece) only. The screen resolution is very poor for pictures, but perfectly adequate for texting.

Battery life is very good, as you would expect with Sony Ericsson. I am not a huge fan of the joystick design, as I find it less comfortable than a D pad & also the joystick well tends to be a dust magnet. A lot of people complain of joystick malfunction after a while. However the phone cover & joystick button are easy to take off which allows you to give the joystick base a good clean with a brush & a blast of air, I find that usually fixes the problem.

The k310i was my second phone & although I no longer normally use it as I have since upgraded, it is still going strong & works fine even though it has been subjected to much physical abuse as I am not the most careful of owners. & it's never crashed on me.

So in my experience it is a pretty reliable phone.

I've had my k310i for about a year now & it's my first phone at first it was easy to use & I liked it but I soon got sick of it now I don't mind the lack of Bluetooth because infra-red is good for me but 15MB of memory is rubbish, so I only have about 2 songs on & I can't take many pictures & it marks easy. It's also very easy to use but that's about the only good thing about it. The VGA camera is poor & blurry & it's the same story with the videos. It's quite a poor phone & if your looking for a entry level Sony Ericsson you should avoid the K310i & the upgraded K320i & go for the fantastic W200i Walkman phone.

This was my first ever phone & it is really good. My friends were saying 'oh, look at that rubbish phone' but I just said that I don't need a phone worth £200. The only downside about this phone is the fact that you have to delete almost all of the ringtones just to fit three songs on it.

EXCELLENT TIME FOR FIRST TIME PHONE BUYERS!

I think this phone is very good.

I have now had it for 8 months & I've had no problems with it.

It has a an excellent battery, but yes it doesn't have much memory & doesn't have Bluetooth, but it still has infra-red & I have managed to get three songs on there.

Anyway if you want songs on their get an MP3, it's a phone & as a phone it's very good.

Come on people, stop being negative about the Bluetooth & memory etc, it's a phone. As a phone it's brilliant & easy to use. If you want a camera, buy a Camera! If you want a phone that works then go for it, buy this one. If you are a poser, fork out loads of money on something else that has features galore that you will never use in reality, (oh & make some telephone company rich in the process) & this is the issue here, for the price it's a good deal so stop comparing it to other phones twice the price.

Absolute rubbish, joystick broken & speaker failing, although conveniently about 14 months after purchase when warranty has expired! Just another example of the rubbish pumped out by mobile phone companies. Forget the movies & Internet (I have a computer & TV that do these far, far better) & MAKE A MOBILE PHONE WITH BUTTONS THAT LAST MORE THAN A YEAR, very simple!

Well this phone is good but there is not much space, there is only 15MB which is too small & it is a good phone but there are some things to be taken up is to increase the level or the volume of the ringtone which is low & the quality of camera is also not that much good. My sister gave this phone to me on B'day which is over 2 months back. Overall it is OK (not that much good one or bad one).

A bit of a nightmare!

I generally dislike Sony Ericsson's, this is my 3rd & the main problem I have had with them is the buttons, especially the joystick, becoming 'Deaf'. You have to click numerous times to get the thing to listen to you, or move the joystick down especially hard & frequently to get it to do anything. Such a pain! Apart from the odd hick-up where the phone has turned itself off & back on again the software is generally fine, would help if the back button stopped during a text when you press it instead of the 1. Battery, just after a year, has become a bit tired & the charge doesn't last as long as it used to, I am reduced to about 3 & a half days from the original 8 I used to get it to last. Never mind, last Sony Ericsson for me I think :)

If you are planning to have a phone for light frequent use then this one is OK, but if you plan on using it for longer than a year expect the phone to become troublesome!

It is really a great phone but really lacks some features which would have made it the best like Bluetooth, extendable memory. Its one disadvantage is the joystick, which you really have to use nicely. Else K320i may be a good preference than K310i if your range is high. But this is the right phone at right price.

Lovely looking phone but terrible to use!

Typing a text takes ages as the screen doesn't keep up. No idea how many characters you have used. The phone doesn't say a message hasn't been sent, it just leaves it in the Outbox - very useful if you want to tell someone you are turning your phone off but don't notice you have no signal.

I didn't buy it for the camera & a good job too as it is extremely poor.

Mobile phones have reached the point of being over-designed & the Sony K310i is a prime example of this - loads of features but usability is very poor. £30 wasted for me, it is so bad I will be getting a different brand very soon.

This is the worst phone I have had since my first one in 1999. The camera is cheap, the screen is small & stupid. I would rather have a Nokia 1600. & they are cheap but still better than the Sony Ericsson k310i!

I think this phone is great, although it's a great shame they forgot to put Bluetooth on! I love it except lots of my friends MP3 tones are on a phone that has only Bluetooth so I still haven't managed to get any MP3's on my K310i! Please if anyone knows, tell me what's the best price for the USB cable DCU-60. Thank you.

Just got this phone for free through the earned points which I got from my network provider. Tough this phone has no Bluetooth, it has a lot to offer for a low-end model of Sony Ericsson. You can store short MP3 files that serves as ring or message tones. I am still aspiring to buy w810i in the future co's for me, its design, feature & usability are perfect!

I think this is absolutely the best phone for the money. It would be good to have more memory, but it is really not crucial for the average user of such phone. An FM radio would be nice, though, as well as Bluetooth, even if it had to cost a bit more (but not much, because its advantage would be lost!) Sony Ericsson, do you listen?

Its a good phone but I have had mine for a week & taken great care of it & it has started switching itself off & I have been unable to switch it back on without taking the battery out & putting it back in. I have reset the phone but it still has problems. I am going to get it replaced tomorrow so hopefully the next one will be OK.

So far though I would say the reliability is rubbish.

Except for Bluetooth, this phone has all you could possibly want, its excellent value for money. The camera resolution is mediocre, but the phone comes with 15 MB flash memory, standard! Also, it allows you to transfer mp3 & midi files, & use them as ringtone. There's a dictaphone (3 hours recording!), loudspeaker, internet connection, infrared, etc. etc. Best buy of 2006!!

Nice little phone... great for someone who doesn't want an all singing, dancing, phone! Files easily transferred via data cable. What's the gripe about the memory? You can only use 1 mp3 ringtone at a time. Has all the features a phone SHOULD have without all the useless features you never need.

Highly recommended, 10/10

Bought this K310i yesterday. Very sleek model & certainly a futuristic look. This kind of model is what is very popular among college folks & is talk of the city. Initially I didn't believe that it's that popular, but it really is. The design is awesome. Except for Bluetooth (Don't know why Sony forget to patch that!!??). It is certainly a good one & will recommend it for anyone who is serious about design & quality. Of course who can beat on sound other than Sony. I was always Sony averse as I considered them as monopoly, but not anymore after seeing this universal design. Thanks.

I have had the Sony K300i for some time now & I have been very pleased with it. It is a recommended phone & totally reliable. I like the this K310i as it has all that I need from a mobile phone & a bit more. I do not use the camera as much as most people but it is good to know that I have it if I need it & that it is easy to work. I like this phone mainly because it is a step up from my already very good Sony mobile phone. The handset is very good looking & the size is almost the same as what I know & it feels good. The K310i is a light bit lighter but that would be good. I like the more basic looking phones & the keys look great to use.
