Yeah. The phone is good but the only problem I faced is with the input of words into dictionary in messaging. If anyone knows the way of inputting a new word to the T9 dictionary in this model please let me know.

This is a lovely little phone, so easy to use, its battery life seems to last forever, & for the price it's really great! It's basic, it makes phone calls & texts, & has an OK radio for when you're bored. I've also dropped it about 500 times & it's bounced back without a scratch, so apparently it's also virtually indestructible (I've killed many a more expensive phone that way).

For some reason, it finds on occasion to forget itself & keeps popping up with 'Please Insert SIM card', whereby you have to turn it off & back on again to clear it. It's a little annoying, but nothing more serious than that!

Since that's the only problem, I'd say it's a fabulous little phone, & works well as a basic second or emergency backup phone. Or one to give your Mum if she's technophobic, like mine!

As all phones now seem to be intent on doing everything BUT making calls (with an average battery life of about 3 1/2 hours), this is a great choice if that's all you want from it & need to do, & the battery won't run out on you when you're least expecting it, & that for me is its best feature!

Can't add to dictionary, even though it says you can. Makes predictive useless.

Phone is slow to respond to button presses, like it has to think about it first.

Buttons are nicely raised so using keypad is easier than other phones.

There is an old adage, you pay your money, & you get what you get. Several years ago, whilst working for, how shall I say, one of the major mobile providers in the UK, I did a review, & found that Sony Ericsson were, by a fair bit, the least returned handsets, so when I saw this handset on sale at Asda for 8 Pounds, I couldn't really say no!

Why the adage though, because, for the low cost you can't really expect more than you get, & frankly, for the price, it's amazing. The sound quality & reception are both excellent. It does have some useful features, like a speakerphone & a radio (never used it, but I can see why some would like it). Moreover, it's a clean design, easy to wipe down, with a full size socket for hands-free & headphones (which, really is brilliant, allowing a wide choice of alternatives). Yet, for me, the most important feature is the one you don't see, but just use, & that's the battery life. Sure, it's a fairly basic handset, but, if your main task is to make calls, & you can't always get to a charger, then it's for you.

After all of this, it's a Sony Ericsson, the most reliable handsets in the UK. Bargain! I personally could see people using this as an emergency handset, in cars, handbags, etc. The reliable pay as you go alternative when your feature packed handset has just died on you. Get one now!

Great phone for £4.95.

- FM radio is good, & has a nice display.
- Free Sony headphones, probably the lowest quality of Sony headphones but still pretty good. Probably cost almost the same price as the handset.
- Nice design for a cheap phone, looks very stylish.
- Small, due to lack of features.
- Good speaker & about 8 ring tones.
- the middle button or pad, is very slick & easy to use.

Overall this is fantastic value for money.

Got 2 of them (you can buy it for less than a fiver).

Pros. Too many to list.

Cons. No way to switch off sound when turning on volume; lock feature not enough to prevent pressing buttons (slide lock switch would be more effective), torch not too bright (but no big issue for me), not as usable as my Nokia 1112 (just a bit dearer), crashed once (only) & the screen got darker & only the blue component of the screen was visible, but returned normal after switch off & wait a few seconds, if you swap SIM cards, you lose language, date & time settings (because the battery is removed), on my Nokia 1112 inserting SIM cards does not imply risk of scratches like on this Sony Ericsson J132.

This is not a good model, if you want to buy a low end phone. The usability of this phone is very bad. Lots of draw backs.

- No on off switch in the hands-free.
- Length of the microphone to speaker (left) is small, secrets cannot be spoken.
- No clip in the hands-free, so cannot hold in shirt.
- You cannot activate dictionary by pressing a key.
- You cannot stop the music for message sent info. So cannot be used in the silent places.
- No profile concept.
- Length of the power cord is very small.
- & lots more.

My best opinion is, don't buy this mobile & don't suffer after that.

I only paid £8 for this phone & I am very happy with it. It has a nice, thin design & wipe clean, dust resistant keypad if you are doing dirty work. The screen is bright & the torch is very useful. The FM radio was a surprise also meaning I got a free stereo headset with it (although I could put my own in because it is the first Sony Ericsson with a 3.5mm socket! ). It has 4MB memory & USB connectivity to put some of my own things on. For this price, it is a reliable phone & could very well be disposable. & I am sure the other phone manufacturers will want a piece of the low budget mobiles market.

Good phone if you just want something to talk & text, however, I can't seem to find where you can Add words to the Dictionary, even though it says you can. Shame really, Good phone other than that.
