Simple yet useful mobile phone. It's pretty cheap as well, making the market share is quite high. However, the SMS feature was poorly made, since the alphabets are displayed inside a pop up every time you type.

I am not happy with this mobile & will bring him immediately back to the store. Inserting text messages really is a slow process of waiting until the word disappears on the screen. Typing without watching what's on the screen is impossible. The dictionary also seems to be too basic. Just typing like you always did before, gives you an extraterrestrial message. Correcting every word or typing very slow is out of question for me. & believe me, I checked every single setting.

Design.
Plus, more elegant than most other mobiles because of his compactness & simple design.
Negative, I like the black colour, but it's hard to find it in my black handbag :D.

Features.
Plus, almost everything I hoped this basic phone should have, is on it.
Negative, I prefer a mobile with a connection possibility (Bluetooth or USB), I don't need the radio but the J110i wasn't in stock & it only costs 6 Euro's extra.
Negative, a little bit bigger screen should be welcome, & especially more pixels. But I know that will have consequences to the duration of life of the batteries & the cost of the mobile!
Negative, there is no calendar, but you can use the reminder if necessary.

Usability.
Plus, really simple in use.
Negative, scrolling through the menu goes rather slow.
Negative, I like to type an SMS very quickly, but with the dictionary turned on, it can't follow me! The words disappear incomplete what can be really frustrating.
Negative, when the dictionary is turned on, it will be turned on also by adding new contacts. It's not a big deal, but if you don't like the dictionary by inserting names, you have to turn it off every time by adding or editing contacts.

Conclusion.
I am happy with my new mobile, it's almost exactly like I hoped or expected, & the price is acceptable, but I hanker already after a mobile with a lot more features (combination of gps, pda, MP3, camera with an operating system & a full keyboard).

I use W810i, since then I am really a fan of the name Sony Ericsson. Actually I bought this in an emergency. I was amazed on hearing the price & that also with the brand name. Sound quality is excellent when comparing with other handset of any other company. Sony Ericsson ROCKS!

I purchased this phone after having no end of problems with a high spec 3G Nokia handset. Naturally by comparison the J120i is a little lacking in the features department, however it cost a tenth of the price, & has never let me down yet.

Ever so simple design that looks nice & cool, the battery life is quite simply jaw dropping (I only ever have to charge it once a week), it's durable, the instruction manual doesn't resemble war & peace, & above all it's just a phone! (None of all those pointless gimmicks).

Highly recommended.

I also having this phone since last 6 to 7 months, it's very simple in handling & has enough talk time of battery, its sound quality of FM is very best than other phones. But I am also having problem about this phone, this phone is not easy for getting more sound melodies. I will be very happy if it gets solved!

This is the first phone that I would say Sony Ericsson have made that is good. Before this, I am a die hard Nokia phone supporter. It's basic but yet not, its FM radio is the best that I could ever find. The receiving feature & sound quality.

In addition, the price is so amazingly low at RM180 with DiGi 1-Family line sign-up! After that, this amount will be refunded in terms of rebate. So it's totally free. Once more I want to stress, free but not a lousy phone!

Thx to DiGi & Sony Ericsson!

My situation was such that I needed a cheap phone urgently as mine broke. I bought a Sony Ericsson J120i as it was the cheapest phone on the market. To be honest I prefer this phone compared to a heap of other phones with a heap more features because it is so basic. There is no Internet / camera / MP3 etc. It's just a simple phone & it's really good. I will be sticking with this little phone, good work Sony Ericsson. How can a brand new phone with one year warranty be so cheap?

Simple phone for simple people. Got all the essentials & surprisingly it acts as a mobile phone only. No gimmicks such as Visual Radio, Camera-10 Mega pixel, MP3/Mp4, TV, Broadband etc. Want a mobile phone to make / receive calls & Send / receive sms go for this. Size & weight also excellent. Very handy & user friendly. Good going Sony Ericsson.
