I have loved this phone! I got the funky purple colour. Love the camera, the zoom only can be used in burst mode but its great for taking images of things that are moving as one of the four images usually comes out OK! In the right environment, great pictures, other times not so good. Music player easy to use. Infact whole phone very easy to use! Love the fact that can have multiple applications open at once, like music, texting & so on.
When texting, it has a list of people you recently text so quicker to find.
Having had this phone for over a year & dropped it a zillion times & drowned it on several occasions, its looking a little shabby & since the drowning incident is more difficult to get signal. But thats all my fault so its done pretty well considering!

I have this phone since last year, After 11 months I can say its a good one. The things this phone is missing are.
- Cyber shoot camera, Its camera is not that bad but can't be compared with a cyber shoot ones (I have had K800i before).
- the processor should be faster.
G700 is made out of a very good materials, the touch screen is really great & response fast, had no problem with it at all.
Sound quality is very good.

Design & features are great but it terms of performance, I won't recommend this. It's so slow as in very SLOW!

Had this phone for 3 & a half months. Its processor is so slow & I mean SO slow (208 MHz approx). There is some real lag when loading applications, & I just could not stand it so I changed my phone today. The only nice thing this phone has is lots of features, but I would never want to trade speed for that. On the other hand camera was decent & sound quality too. Build quality was top notch. But I would still recommend that you stay away from this phone. Besides according to some news, Sony Ericsson has dumped UIQ.

It would be a dream phone if.
- It would have Wi-Fi & Skype Mobile.
- Would have AGPS.
- Would be a little less wide, more like Nokia 6300.
Better camera is optional, as I don't take a lot of pictures anyway.
Otherwise I really like that touch screen functions can be accessed through the keypad & vice versa. Stylus is very useful to, as is standard keypad (actually it could be even simpler without shortcuts (notes & SMS) the simpler it is the better (genius touch). Flash light is excellent. All other functions as well.
I would pay a few pounds more for phone with all above mentioned features. Sadly it looks like that even D700i higher end brother D900i does not have all features. I just hope & pray that Sony Ericsson designers can make ALL those changes without taking anything out from this phone.

Such a good phone.

I do hope this phone isn't too close to the OS of the W960i, which was rubbish to get around. No I am not a technophobic & have used symbian before. But stear clear of that W960i.
