The Sony Ericsson C901 is a 3G capable handset which comes with many imaging, entertainment & communication feature on this sleek bar designed handset. This 3G phone has a classic bar shaped casing which is available in three stylish colours which include a sleek looking noble black colour, precious peach & a sincere silver coloured casing. The C901 is from the Sony Ericsson C range which includes other camera & imaging focused handset which include the Sony Ericsson C903 & the Sony Ericsson C905. The handset has a solid feel without feeling heavy as it weighs one hundred & seven grams including the fitted battery. The classic bar shape gives the casing a quality feel & design, which measures 13mm deep by 105mm tall by 45mm wide so therefore it fits neatly in the users pocket for carrying purposes. The front of this bar shaped casing has a 2.2 Inch TFT screen complete with a compact sized keypad along with easy to press individual keys which allow the user to input numbers & letters with ease. The user will find a navigation key which allows the user to control their way through menus & feature quickly & easily on their new phone.

This Sony Ericsson C range phone comes with a 5 megapixel Cyber-Shot™ camera feature which provides the user with a high quality digital camera with easy to use imaging features. This camera comes with a face detection feature which will detect the subjects face when the user is taking a picture of a person & the camera will focus on the subject face when capturing a shot. A built in smile shutter will ensure a picture is captured when the users subject smiles, so a happy picture will be capture for the user to treasure. The Sony Ericsson C901 has a xenon flash which allows the user to add light to darker environments when the user wants to brighten up their pictures. A geo tagging picture feature allows the user to store the location of where a picture was taken which is the perfect way to remember where the users captured those beautiful landscaped & surroundings in case the user wishes to make a return visit to see these places again.

The Sony Ericsson C901 supports video playback & video streaming capabilities so therefore the user can enjoy moving video on their imaging focused handset. The Sony Ericsson C901 has a built in radio feature which provides the user with a FM radio experience allowing the user to tune into their favourite radio station when a new listening experience is needed. The C901 has an integrated music player which has an album cover display option for the user to view on their TFT screen & the user can control their music using the navigation key. This music player has a wide variety of music focused feature which include a music recognition feature so therefore the user can find out the name of a song they like the sound of quickly with minimal effort apart from recording a few seconds worth of the song they like.

This handset has a memory card slot which supports Micro™ M2™ type memory cards & the user can add a card in the memory size desired. The user of the C901 can communicate with others by using the built in messaging service to communicate using text, sound, pictures & even video to communicate with others. An instant messaging service means the user can use text to communicate with compatible contacts in an online chat & a text messaging service can contain text & be shared between compatible text messaging contacts. The Sony Ericsson C901 allows its user to share pictures & video clips with other compatible contacts using the MMS service & the user can create emails on the C901 which can be sent to email contacts directly from the handset. The C901 has built in Internet browser which supports a YouTube™ compatible Internet experience & if the user desired even move entertainment from their phone, the handset supports fast moving motion games for mobile gaming fun.

This handset supports Bluetooth® with A2DP technology which means the user can connect their new camera phone to other Bluetooth® compatible devices including another mobile phone, personal computer, printer or laptop to transfers data between devices without the use if cables. A USB port allows the user to connect a USB cable to the C901 & to another USB compatible device when a cabled connection is needed to transfer data between devices. The Sony Ericsson C901 supports high speed technologies which include EDGE technology, GPRS & 3G HSDPA technology. The user can experience fast speed transfer rates thanks to the EDGE technology & high speed connectivity thanks to the 3G technology. This handset covers a quad band GSM network & 3G HSDPA network which allows the user to roam worldwide using their handset over these networks, but the service provider will determine the full network coverage as each network service provider's coverage differs. A full battery can provide up to 430 hours of standby battery time or approximately nine & a half hours of talk time.

I bought Sony Ericsson C901 last month & I am pleased to have it. This phone has a 5MP autofocus camera capable of taking great pictures, & stands above many other 5MP camera phones in the market today due to the xenon flash. Besides the xenon flash, Sony Ericsson have also added a LED flash to assist auto focusing in the dark & also capturing video in the dark. The phone also records videos in mp4 format which is good news. Anybody wishing to have a phone with one of the best 5MP cameras in the market & yet at an affordable price should consider C901.

Nice phone. Good phone but camera is slightly below the Nokia N82 especially when using the xenon flash. The background can't be captured & becomes dark. Only the main thing can be captured.

Small compact design with all the features you would be looking for in a Sony Ericsson camera phone. It has a great lens cover too. My advice, never buy a camera phone without a xenon flash.

I've been searching around for this phone since it's be very much suited for all of my needs since my C510 broke. Where can you get this in the UK? All the major phone networks & retailers say they have never heard of such a phone.
