Our Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Review

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 is a desirable touch screen phone which comes with high speed connectivity & technology which allows the user to experience a superb performance when using their Smartphone's features. The stunning curved arc shape designed casing looks attractive & is useful when the user is rotating their screen to use the slide out QWERTY keyboard, which smoothly slides out of the side of the handset providing a wide screen viewing experience. The touch screen provides an outstanding display which displays up to 65k colours on a 3.2 Inch screen with a high quality resolution of eight hundred pixels by four hundred & eighty pixels. It casing is slim which measures 1.6cm in depth, 5.4cm in width & 11cm in height when this handset is in its slide closed position. Its total weigh including the fitted rechargeable battery is one hundred & fifty five grams which is ideal for carry purposes. This 3G Smartphone supports a Windows Mobile® 6.5 user interface which allows its user to enjoy a user friendly interface on their stylish touch screen complete with intuitive touch screen controls the X2 is a pleasure to use. The XPERIA X2 comes with a XPERIA panel feature which allows the user to press a SlideView key once to gain instant access to a selection of the user favourite features which can be personalised to suit the user's needs. This Smartphone is a fabulous member of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA range which already includes the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.

The XPERIA X2 supports ultra high speed 3G HSDPA technology allowing the user to experience broadband type speed on their Smartphone allowing the user to download data at 7.2 megabytes per second or upload data at up to 2 megabytes per second. This built in technology provide high speed connectivity to the Web allowing the user to enjoy a fast Web browsing experience. The user can connect to other devices using a wireless Bluetooth® connection between the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 & other compatible devices. The XPERIA X2 also comes with a USB port which allows its user to connect to other USB compatible devices using a cabled connection ready for the user to transfer data between the two devices. It's built in Wi-Fi™ technology provides fast downloads & the user can connect to a wireless LAN to gain access to the Internet without using cables. This Smartphone comes with one hundred & ten megabytes of internal memory & it comes with a memory card slot which supports MicroSD™ type memory. The XPERIA X2 can hold up to sixteen gigabytes of external memory. This handset will work Worldwide as it covers GSM networks GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 which will automatically switch between network bands, as well as covering 3G networks HSDPA 900, 1900 & 2100. An integrated aGPS navigation feature complete with Google Maps™ support means the user can find out & view directions from where the user is currently positioned to their new destination.


An integrated 8.1 megapixel digital camera supports video recording capabilities as well as perfect picture capturing on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 supports aGPS navigation which means the user can enjoy features such as geo tagging on pictures & video recording allowing the user to store their location when taking a picture or recording a video. This camera comes with many image focused features which allow the user to gain a high quality picture capture or to record a beautiful & well focused moving video. Its features include a touch screen control focus & an image stabiliser which will counteract all those small movements made by the user when recording. The user can zoom in & out using the built in sixteen times zoom & an automatic focus feature will automatically focus on the users target providing a clear focus shot. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 supports high quality video recording complete with a video light to add brightness to those duller surroundings. When the user wishes to playback videos on their Smartphone then the user can enjoy a beautifully clear video playback experience complete in high colour on the large 3.2 Inch touch screen. When the user wishes to enjoy a mobile music experience on their Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 then the user can access the integrated music player or FM radio, which are user friendly music features with superb sound quality. The music player supports an album art display & the user can search through their stored music files with ease by viewing their stored music on the large touch screen. The radio feature has a built in RDS feature which provides onscreen text information which is provided by the radio station so therefore the user can listen to their favourite radio station whilst reading onscreen information. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 supports a high performance motion gaming experience allowing the user to enjoy a stunning lifelike 3D game playing on their XPERIA X2 Smartphone.

This handset has a flight mode feature which allows the user to operate a selection of built in features whilst in mobile phone restricted areas such as in a hospital or on board a plane. The XPERIA X2 supports useful user friendly call feature which include a vibration alert which allows the user to be alerted of a new call or message by a vibration of their handset & a speaker phone feature allowing the user to hear their contact over the integrated speakers. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 comes with an excellent web service allowing the user to access the popular Facebook social network website & offers a YouTube™ web experience, as well as supporting a Skype call feature via the Internet. The user can surf the Web via the Internet Explorer® Mobile browser & enjoy RSS feeds directly on this Smartphone. When the user wishes to share a message with other compatible users then the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 provides a huge selection of messaging & communication service to suit all user's needs, whether it be a personal text message or business email. The XPERIA X2 supports an emails service, SMS text messaging service, instant messaging service & a MMS multimedia picture messaging service. The user can enjoy entering text & symbols on the slide out QWERTY keyboard when create a message or simply use the touch screen controls when creating a message. The battery provided with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 supports up to ten hours of GSM talk time or up to six hours of 3G HSDPA talk time when the battery is fully charged.
