I've found the phone itself is great but agree with the battery comments. Annoying thing is the wallpaper though, have tried downloading screensavers specifically for this phone but animation doesn't work; also, as soon as you try to use a picture for the wallpaper, phone insists on cropping it so you don't get the picture on the home screen, just a hugely blown up section of it. Any ideas on how to sort this anyone?

The X10 Mini is a great phone, looks smart & performs well. It took me a couple of hours to get used to the Android system as it is my first Android phone. I thought the battery life was shocking at first too I was getting max of 9 hours. Then I realised that with Android you never actually close an app once you have opened it, it will stay running in the background & even if you are not using the phone will drain your battery.

A couple of tips to extend battery life for anybody using the X10 mini.
- Turn off your WI-FI when you are not using it.
- Drag down the small bar at the top (the one that displays signal, battery & time) & disable data traffic while your not using the phone.
- Adjust the brightness of your screen.
- Turn off any automatic updates.
- Search the app market for advanced task killer (free).
When you run this app it will show you a list of all the apps that are currently running (including itself) & give you the option to force stop them.

I have turned off all my automatic updates & dimmed the screen brightness (it was too bright for me anyway). Before I lock my screen I always turn off my WI-FI & run advanced task killer shutting down EVERY app that is running. Just doing these small, easy things has increased my battery life from max of 9 hours to around 3 days.

YOU CAN Bluetooth IF YOU KNOW HOW. This phone is amazing. To enable Bluetooth go to Market, you will be asked to sign up to GoogleMail which takes minutes, then click on apps followed by all apps & then just scroll down until you reach Bluetooth file transfer, simply download it & away you go. I too was a bit downhearted when I thought it couldn't be done but now this is the best phone I've ever had. Hope this helps.

Hi ya I agree with the battery comments, but can confirm for users commenting on Bluetooth that there is an app called Bluetooth FILE TRANSFER that I got from ANDROID MARKET, which gives you the ability to send. Not tried yet but wanted to give reassurance that the option is there.

Just got it. Great looking phone, smart & I love it even though it took a bit to understand for my last Smartphone, but annoying the battery life & especially when I don't download much, it does seem to work by itself in the background & I have the apps killer on it. Bluetooth, what can I say, it don't do it. Bit of a letdown for a Sony & should I take it back.

The phone looks great, but the battery is shocking. I had the phone for 5 days, didn't use any applications except the odd text message & brief phone call & still the battery only lasted less than 24 hours on standby. I also found it quite hard to find things in the menu etc. Its a shame because I loved the phone & the size.

This is such a great phone, the touch works well once you get used to it, the apps are great & getting better & better each day. It's a small phone yes but it sits in your pocket so well. Now for the bad stuff, battery life, not the best in the word but if you're playing with it a lot then it's going to last a day, the fact that you can't send a file, picture, tune via Bluetooth, I can understand this does annoy me, but I am sure there is & app for it. Apart from that this is by far the best Sony Ericsson phone I have had, even better than the W995 & that takes some beating.

WOW what a great phone. Great looks, small & full of features, the only thing I don't like is that you can't send files via Bluetooth, but apart from that its great.
