Overview
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo is a touch screen Android Smartphone with a fashionably designed casing & an abundance of amazing features including a high quality 8.1 megapixel camera feature & high definition video recording capabilities. Its supports the stunning Sony Ericsson Timescape™ user interface for ease of use & has a large 3.7 inch touch screen with a Sony Mobile BRAVIA® reality display. This amazing Smartphone is a camera & imaging focused member of the XPERIA range which includes other handsets such as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc & the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pro which also come with 8.1 megapixel cameras. The XPERIA Neo has a pocket friendly designed casing due to its compact sizing & touch screen design.

Appearance & Size
It is available in a red, silver or even a blue gradient coloured casing which gives the Neo a fashionable appearance & striking design. It has a 3.7 inch TFT touch screen which displays up to sixteen million colours on the sharp Sony Mobile BRAVIA® reality screen with a screen resolution of 854 pixels by 480 pixels. A virtual keypad or keyboard will be displayed on the touch screen when the user needs to input numeric or alphabetic text. The Android operating system allows the user to enjoy the Android market for new apps on their Smartphone & the Neo comes with version 2.3. It has a Timescape™ touch screen user interface & a customisable home screen making the XPERIA Neo a pleasure to use & operate. It's compact & pocket friendly casing measures 11.6cm high by 5.7cm wide by 1.3cm in depth & the handset weighs 126 grams with its fitted battery.


Imaging, Media & Entertainment
This imaging & camera focused Sony Ericsson XPERIA Smartphone comes with a front facing VGA camera for video calling purpose & an impressive 8.1 megapixel camera lens which is located on the back of the casing. The touch screen becomes the viewfinder, when using the rear facing camera lens for photo capturing or high definition video recording. Its camera features include photo & video geo tagging thanks to the GPS navigation feature, built in flash, red eye reduction setting, 2.46 x digital smart zoom for those close up shots & a face detection or recognition feature. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo supports HD video recording which is 720p & the user can enjoy the added benefit of a built in video stabiliser & light when recording. Music can be used to entertain the user of this Smartphone via the integrated FM radio feature of via the music player. The radio tuner supports a RDS allowing the user to view onscreen information which is relevant to the radio station, & the music player supports many music formats plus an album artwork display which is ideal when searching for music. Videos can be played or streamed for entertainment on the move which can be viewed on the 3.7 inch touch screen. For a large screen & high definition viewing experience the user can connect their Smartphone to their HD TV by using the Neo's built in HDMI connector for a true movie style experience.

Communication & Messaging
A speaker phone call allows the user to hear their caller over the phones loud speakers for a hands free call. There is a built in phone book which is easily managed by adding, deleting or editing contacts. The Sony Ericsson Neo has an infinite button which allows the user to access all their friends information with one hit of a button. Social networking Websites such as Twitter™ & Facebook™ are easy to access too, as the Neo has integrated applications ready to use. Others forms of communication include an email service with Google Mail™ support & Exchange ActiveSync® support, plus the user can communicate with others via messaging services such as MMS, SMS & instant messaging. A conversation layout can be enjoyed when communicating via the phones messaging services.

Technology & Internet
Barcode scanning is possible on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo as this Smartphone comes with a NeoReader barcode scanner® integrated. A navigation feature which supports Google Maps™ with street view & Google Latitude™ allows the user to view step by step instructions to their next location. The XPERIA Neo has three hundred & twenty megabytes of integrated memory & the user can expand the handsets memory capabilities further by inserting a MicroSD™ card. It Bluetooth® wireless technology provides a wire free connection between the Neo & other compatible Bluetooth® devices, or the user can gain a cabled connection between devices via the micro USB port on their phone. Browsing the Web is fun on the Neo as the user can enjoy a touch screen browsing experience complete with pan & zoom controls, & Wi-Fi® connectivity provides a cable free connection to nearby wireless hubs or hotspots. The fitted battery provides an estimated 6.9 hours of talk time over a GSM network or up to 7 hours over a 3G network.
