Overview
The W8 is a compact & impressive Walkman® music Smartphone with a touch screen form casing. This Sony Ericsson 3G Smartphone focuses highly on the handsets music & sound capabilities, plus there is a built in digital camera, user friendly Internet features, social network apps, navigation feature & an assortment of messaging services. The W8 is a member of the Sony Ericsson Walkman® range which includes other handsets such as the Sony Ericsson W715 & the Sony Ericsson W995. The W8 has a desirable looking casing which looks stunning & feels good to hold & use in the single hand. This Smartphone supports the Android operating system, & the Sony Ericsson Timescapetrade; user interface is a pleasure to use making it easy for the user to control their Smartphone's features & applications.

Appearance & Size
It is available in three stylish & fashionable colour options which include orange, red & azure. This music phone comes with a compatible set of ear phones ready for the user to enjoy a personal music experience. The W8 weighs one hundred & four grams & it measures 9.9cm in height, 0.15 in depth & 5.4cm in width, which makes it an ideal size to fit the pocket. There is a three inch HVGA touch screen which provides a 320 pixel by 480 pixel screen resolution & up to sixteen million colours can be displayed on this stunning screen. The user interface is touch activated & is the Sony Ericsson Timescapetrade; touch interface which runs on the Android operating system, which opens up the Android apps market for the user to enjoy new & fun apps on their Smartphone.


Imaging, Media & Entertainment
An integrated Walkman® music player provides outstanding sound & music entertainment to be enjoyed on the W8. The user can use simple touch screen controls to control their music selection, playback, storage & music downloads. An album cover display makes finding new music easy for the user, plus up to twenty three hours of music playback time can be gained from a fully charged battery. Other music features available on the Sony Ericsson W8 include a FM radio feature, TrackIDtrade; music recognition feature & a PlayNowtrade; ringtone download facility. There is a built in camera which has a 3.1 megapixel lens & this camera supports video recording & still photo capturing. There are many settings & options available so therefore the user can capture or record photos & videos just the way they intend to. Games can be downloaded onto the Sony Ericsson W8 providing the user with touch screen gaming controls & 3D gaming on their Smartphone.

Communication & Messaging
An integrated Facebooktrade; app allows the user to access this popular social network site within an instant to update their status & communicate with friends. The Sony Ericsson W8 also comes with an easily accessed integrated Twittertrade; app, so therefore the user can tweet whilst on the move. Integrated speakers allow the user to enjoy a loud call experience with others over the phones speakers making it a hands free call. Messaging allows the user to stay in touch with others without making a call & there are many messaging services available on the W8 to suit all the users messaging requirements, whether photos or videos want to be shared, a quick message containing text only, a more formal style of message can be created such as email or an instant online messaging service can also be enjoyed. This touch screen music phone supports high speed 3G HSDPA & HSUPA technology which allows the user to use their phone over 3G & GSM networks depending on the users network connectivity requirements. The W8 comes with an expandable memory card slot which will hold up to 16 gigabytes of MicroSDtrade; type memory, plus there is 168 megabytes of RAM memory & 128 megabytes of internal memory available for storage of music, photo files, video, messages & contacts details. An assisted GPS navigation system comes with a turn by turn navigation support allowing the user to get clear directions to their next location. The Sony Ericsson W8 is a Wi-Fitrade; capable Smartphone complete with a user friendly Web browser with Googletrade; search plus the user can enjoy touch screen controls when browsing the Web to pan or zoom on Websites. A fully recharged battery will provide up to 4.7 hours of talk time & the user can connect their W8 to other devices using either a USB cable to connect or Bluetooth® wireless connectivity.
