Our Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart Review

This environmentally friendly phone has been designed using recycled plastic materials & also supports other environmentally friendly features such as a low power consumption battery charger & has an e-manual feature which saves on paper. The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart is a 3G handset which has a solid feel to its compact shaped casing & weighs 107 grams complete with well proportioned dimensions of 10.5cm tall by 4.5cm wide by 1.3cm deep. It casing comes in an ocean white colour which gives this handset a fresh & clean look. On the front of the phone the user will find a beautifully clear TFT screen which is 2.2 Inches in size when measured diagonally. The TFT screen displays up to two hundred & sixty two thousand colours & the user can enjoy a beautifully clear screen resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels on their screen. The user can enjoy viewing high colour pictures, videos & wallpaper animations on their phone. The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart comes with similar features & technologies as its family member the Sony Ericsson C901, but the C901 GreenHeart supports the same GreenHeart environmentally friendly features as the Sony Ericsson Naite. The C901 GreenHeart comes with one hundred & twenty megabytes of internal memory & the user can add a swappable memory card in Micro™ M2™ memory format to extend the phones memory capabilities further. The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart can hold up to eight gigabytes of external memory via the memory card slot.

A rechargeable battery can provide up to nine & a half hours GSM talk time or up to four hours of 3G talk time for the user to enjoy before a recharge is needed. The user can enjoy approximately four hundred & thirty hours of battery standby time from a fully charged battery. The C901 GreenHeart works on a GSM quad band network which works over GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900 networks as well as working over a 3G network which covers UMTS 900 & 2100. The phone comes with many technologies which allow the user to enjoy high speed Internet connectivity, fast speed data transfers & these technologies include 3G HSDPA & EDGE technology. If the camera features user can use either a USB cabled connection or a Bluetooth® wireless connection between two compatible devices. The built in PictBridge supports allows the user to enjoy printing photos directly from their phone.


An integrated five megapixel camera comes with many imaging focused features which allow the user to take a high quality quick snap or even record a beautiful video recording using this user friendly camera feature. The camera comes with a xenon flash which will add light to those dark surroundings & an automatic focus feature allows the user to capture well focused & clear a shot using this built in digital camera. The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart also comes with a built in red eye reduction feature, a smart contrast feature, face detection & a picture geo tagging feature. A Smile Shutter™ feature will ensure that the user captures a happy & smiling photo as the phone will only automatically capture a smiling face rather than a face without a happy pose. A digital zoom allows the user to zoom in & out when taking a shot which is a sixteen times zoom feature for a close up effect. When capturing high quality moving video footage the user can enjoy a video capturing stabiliser & a video light which allows the user to enjoy a smooth recording with added light. The C901 GreenHeart supports a video calling feature which means the user can have a video call experience using the five megapixel camera to recording the user's expressions which will then be seen by the other compatible video calling contact. The user can stream videos & playback videos on the C901 GreenHeart. A fully charged battery allows the user to enjoy up to one & a half hours of video playback time.

The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart comes with an integrated Internet browser which supports Web Feeds & provides a YouTube™ compatible Web experience for the user to enjoy. The user can communicate with others using the built in messaging services which include a mobile email service, multimedia picture messaging service, a text message service & an instant messaging method of communication. A multimedia message can contain a picture or video recording complete with text added & sound to give a full messaging experience. The multimedia message can be shared between compatible MMS contacts & provides a quick method for sharing pictures. The C901 GreenHeart supports an instant messaging service which allows the user to share text chats with contacts that are online. The email service supports Exchange ActiveSync® & allows the user to communicate with their email address contacts from their mobile phone. The C901 Greenheart supports a Google Maps™ application allowing the user to view maps on their handset.

This environmentally friendly manufactured handset supports polyphonic sound ringing tones as well as MP3 & AAC sound ringing tones. The user can add new ringing tones to their handset quickly & easily & enjoy hearing their favourite song each time a new call arrives on their handset. A PlayNow™ music feature allows the user to download new ringing tones in three simple clicks of a key which is a high speed method to download ringing tones. A built in FM radio comes with a RDS radio feature which means the user can listen to their favourite radio station whilst reading information on screen which is provided by the radio station. The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart has a built in music player which supports many useful music features including a MegaBass™ bass frequency feature, a TrackID™ music recognition feature & it supports a stylish album cover art display. A built in Walk Mate feature allows the user to stay fit whilst they are moving around with their mobile phone & the preinstalled step counter can tally up the user's steps made during the day.
