Overview
The Sony Ericsson Aspen is a 3G Smartphone from the Sony Ericsson GreenHeart™ range. This amazing Smartphone supports a Windows® Mobile operating system version 6.5.3 Professional, plus its stylish design incorporates a touch screen & a full QWERTY keyboard. Its main features includes its environmentally focused design, a user friendly social network capable Internet experience, WiFi® technology, Microsoft Office® Mobile compatibilities, a built in media player & a 3.2 megapixel camera feature. The Aspen is manufactured using recycled plastics & waterborne paint which makes this handset a member of the Sony Ericsson GreenHeart™ range which is an environmentally friendly choice of mobile phone. Other members of the GreenHeart™ range include the Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart™, Sony Ericsson Elm, Sony Ericsson Hazel & the Sony Ericsson Naite.

Appearance & Size
Its desirable casing has a solid form complete with both a 2.4 inch touch screen & a full QWERTY keyboard on the front section of the casing. There is also a stylish rectangular shaped navigation key & large call keys for ease of use. The full QWERTY keyboard is situated neatly below the touch screen which allows the user to input text at high speeds & this user friendly input method is ideal for user's that enjoy messaging & high speed typing on their Smartphone. The back of the casing has a slight curve to its design & a camera lens is situated on the back. The Sony Ericsson Aspen is available in two colour options which include an iconic black casing which is mainly black in colour with a silver coloured back cover & a white silver option which is a silver coloured casing complete with a white coloured section on the back of the handset. Its overall size is well proportioned when considering this Smartphone has a full QWERTY keyboard & a touch screen. The Aspen measures 11.7cm tall by 6cm wide by approximately 1.25cm deep & it weighs 130 grams with its rechargeable battery. Its touch screen measures 2.3 inches in size when measured diagonally & provides the user with a 16.7 million colour display complete with easy to use touch screen controls. This stunning 3G Smartphone comes with a SlideView key which provides the user with a instant access to their calendar, emails, Office documents & many more of the Aspen's built in features.


Imaging, Media & Entertainment
The Aspen has an integrated camera feature which has a 3.2 megapixel lens located on the back of the phones casing. This camera feature allows the user of the Sony Ericsson Aspen to capture high quality photos on their phone which can be shared with others via the MMS service or transferred to other devices such as the user's computer using the phones connectivity options. The camera has a built in 4 x digital zoom which allows the user to zoom closer to their target when taking a shot. There is a smart contrast feature which will adjust the light & colour contrast allowing the user to capture a perfectly contrasted shot using their built in camera. The Aspen supports video playback in many popular video formats which allows the user to enjoy a high colour video experience on their new Smartphone for entertainment purposes. Its media player supports music playback in many music formats & the user can enjoy a colourful art display on their touch screen which indicates which album the user is currently listening to. The Sony Ericsson Aspen supports Windows Media® player mobile & comes with built in stereo sound speakers providing a high quality sound experience. The user can enjoy features such a PlayNow™ ringtone download service on this handset & the Aspen supports Bluetooth® stereo A2DP connectivity for a wireless listening experience. There is a built in FM radio which has a RDS feature allowing the user to tune into their preferred radio station whilst viewing information on their touch screen which is reliant to the users chosen radio station. This GreenHeart™ Smartphone supports lively gaming for the user to enjoy on the move which comes complete with 3D gaming & Java™ support.

Communication & Messaging
The user can enjoy taking their calls over the phones speakers which leaves the user hands free to continue talking without holding the Aspen to their ear whilst on a call. The Aspen comes with a vibration alert function which allows the user to be alerted each time a call or message comes in by a gentle vibration of the handset. There is an integrated calendar feature which allows the user to view & manage their calendar with ease. An integrated alarm clock can be used to get the user up in the morning or set as a reminder if required. The user may wish to communicate with other compatible contacts using the phones messaging service which include an instant messaging service, email service with Exchange ActiveSync® & Outlook® Mobile support, a text message service & a multimedia picture messaging service. The user can choose the messaging service to best suit their messaging needs as well as the compatibility of their recipients. The Sony Ericsson Aspen supports a handwriting recognition feature on the 2.3 inch touch screen & the user can enjoy the Microsoft Office® Mobile support which allows the user to view & edit their documents on their Smartphone.

This stylish member of the Sony Ericsson GreenHeart™ range comes with one hundred megabytes of internal memory plus the user can extend their Smartphone memory further by adding a MicroSD™ type memory card. The Sony Ericsson Aspen supports external memory which is up to sixteen gigabytes in size. Its WiFi™ technology allows the user to gain a connection to the Internet via a wireless LAN or via a close by hotspot connection, leaving the user cable free when connection their handset to the Web. The Aspen supports 3G HSDPA & HSUPA technology, plus the user can enjoy quad band GSM network coverage as well as 3G network coverage over HSDPA 900 & 2100 networks.
