BenQ-Siemens S65 Review

The BenQ-Siemens S65 is a very powerful mobile phone with very attractive looks. The phone comes in a silver finish with black keys and screen background. The handset comes in a comfortable size which is 109 x 48 x 18 mm. The overall weight of the phone is 98 grams which feels good in the hand and is a very manageable size to work.

The S65 comes with a TFT 65k colour screen which provides a 132 x 176 pixels display. The phone comes with a integrated 1.3 megapixel camera (1280 x 960 pixels) with zoom which is very user friendly. The user can enjoy the video camera feature which records to a MPEG4 format and allows the user to capture their special moments in full colour action. The video feature comes with a video playback feature and the user can send their recording to friend and family via the multimedia messaging service. The phone comes with 11 Mbytes of shared memory and with the option to expand the memory with a 32 Mbytes MultiMediaCard™ which can be easily added via the memory slot.

The BenQ-Siemens S65 comes with built in Bluetooth® technology which allows the user to move around easily through wireless networks and to synchronise their phone with their computer. The Bluetooth® technology allows the user to connect to any Bluetooth® compatible device very easily and enjoy the freedom of a wireless connection. The phone allows the user to transfer data using a USB cable or Infra red connection. The user can enjoying surfing the web with the use of the WAP browser and experience fast data transfer with the use of GPRS. The phone comes with tri band networking which provides the user with a good network connection at all times.

The user can experience a good gaming experience on the BenQ-Siemens S65 with the pre loaded games or they can download games of their choice very easily. The phone comes with messaging features which include text messaging, multimedia messaging, email and instant messaging which are all very simple to create and send. The multimedia message can contain text input, photos, images and sound all in one message and be sent to any multimedia messaging service mobile phone. The user can enjoy the T9 feature which helps the user with text inputting on messages. The BenQ-Siemens S65 comes with pre loaded ringtones which offer the user good fun ringtones.

The phone comes with some very useful features which include a phone book, organiser, calculator, stopwatch, reminder list, alarm, countdown timer and currency converter. The S65 comes with some very useable call features which include conference calling, call forwarding, silent vibration alert, calling line identification, handsfree speaker and display call timer with cost feature.

Had this phone for nearly four years now, & it's still going fine, no problems & battery life is still pretty good.

Other phones I've had only last for a year or so, but this one is great. It's lacking a few features today, so might upgrade to something with an MP3 player.

I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who just needs a reliable good looking phone.

The screen is the best, nice large display and well clear. The camera is a not up too much but as a general phone this is pretty good. Not a bad deal on this model at the moment.

No MP3 music player and the camera is not worth having as it just is not up to the job. Poor quality photos which can only be taken in the brightness lighting conditions. If you want a camera phone look elsewhere.

Top keypad on the S65 a sweet phone to use. Cant beat Siemens, not small and fiddly like some models that are on the market.

Loving the Bluetooth connectivity it really makes a difference to the way I use my phone. I connect wirelessly whenever I can and it is great. I would of liked a MP3 player, then it would score 100% for everything.
