Samsung Z510 3G Phone Review

The Samsung Z510 is a slim & sleek mobile phone that has built in 3G technology which makes it a very powerful phone. The Z510 comes with a clamshell opening mechanism & a ultra slim casing which measures 99 x 52 x 15 mm. The phone weighs a total of 97 grams which is very light & therefore very useable. The phone comes in a beautiful black coloured casing & the Z510 has a magnesium coated finish which really makes its appearance stand out & its looks are very desirable. The display panel & keypad come with a very subtle & effective light effect which is provided by the built in electroluminescence technology. The Samsung Z510 is similar in looks to the Motorola RAZR V3 & Motorola RAZR V3i & they all share a ultra slim & attractive design.

The Z510 comes with a large QVGA TFT LCD screen which measures 2.2 Inches & provides a 262k colour display with 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. The phone has a small external screen which provides a 65k colour display which the user can use to view certain information without having to open the phone. The Z510 has a 1.3 megapixel camera which comes with a very useable digital zoom & flash. The camera comes with good features for the user to enjoy personalising their photos which include a quality setting, effects, frames & shot options. The user can print their photos simply by using the PictBridge mobile printing solution which works with Bluetooth® technology to provide the user with a wirefree connection. The user can print directly from Samsung Z510 to any compatible printer.

The Samsung Z510 comes with messaging services which include text messaging (SMS), Multimedia messaging (MMS), video messaging & email which are all user friendly services. The user can use the embedded 64 voice polyphonic ringtones or download more ringtones of their choice. The phone comes with a speakerphone feature which allows the user to have a conversation over the speaker & provides the user with a hands free experience. To all those that complain about not being able to change message tone. Just read the instructions. It's so easy.

1. Save phone numbers in phone not sim
2. Go to settings
3. Go to phone profiles
4. Go to outdoor (or any profile)
5. Go to options
6. Edit
7. Go to message alert tone

From here it's easy. Top phone, the best I've ever had

Great looking phone, similar to the Motorola phones, but being a Samsung it is of course far superior to those pieces of rubbish. Only grumble is that you can't personalise your text message alert sound, only the pre-set tones can be used, & these are few & really rubbish.

Overall though, I love this phone. The battery may not hold a charge for as long as all the Nokia's I've owned over the years, but hey, it lasts for a day at least, what more do you need? Just recharge everyday, it's no big deal.

This is an attractive accessory which performs well. We have the white one & always looks stylish. The menu has taken quite a while to get used to, coming from a Nokia, & selecting from the Contacts to text is not so intuitive. Overall a good unit with clear display & sound.

The camera is quite tacky & having no memory card is quite poor, I prefer the Z500V if it had flash with the camera & a stopwatch. Even though it is stylish, it simply copies the RAZR & is not new technology.

I have changed my phone & my network to get this phone, what a big mistake I have made. I am not happy with O2 as a network provider & the Z510 is not as good as I hoped for. The handset is not easy to use or handle & the camera & video feature are poor. The video recording doesn't last long at all so hardly worth having it.

Lovely looking, so slim & a great finish to the handset & keys. It is very much like the Moto RAZR V3 & the features sound perfect. I have not got this phone because I think it is only available with O2 in the United Kingdom. When will it be available from other network providers? I am with Orange at the moment & would not like to change from them if possible. Please advise availability dates.

Ultra slim is not wrong & it is a top quality phone. I am really pleased with my Z510 & cant fault it. The internal screen is colourful & as clear as a bell. The video, camera, pictbridge & MMS work fab. Love having a 3G phone it makes a big difference. Top phone so don't delay go & get it.
