Hmmm, please don't buy this phone. Why? Because the infra-red is really bad. You can't connect it to your PC or Laptop. You can connect it with other mobiles but you can't really transfer big files. Only these tiny files like a phone number or so. The video function on this mobile is bad too. It can only record videos for a limited time, depending on the movement of the camera when filming. DON'T BUY IT.

This is a great phone & for me, the best. I have had my phone since 2005 & it hasn't been a pain like usual phones. Its design is great, small, compact & with a camera with video & playback it's a great phone.

I agree this phone is a load of junk. It says it comes with MP3 ringtones but it doesn't! The infra-red is bad too. This phone is not worth your money. There are a lot of cheap & better phones then this & have better features in it!

E.G. I saw a new phone that only cost 120 dollars. It has Bluetooth, plays MP3 ringtones, camera is great etc, but this phone cost me $180 dollars & doesn't even have Bluetooth or nothing! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! It might look good but really it is not worth your money!

There are some things which makes me angry, I go to internet & buy some music. But phone says file is too big. Camera is also bad, infra-red don't want to receive items. Samsung needs too little work on this phone. Good luck.

Samsung x660 is a very nice phone, sleek & portable, but I wish I could lose it so that my parents can buy me a new phone. I choose it my self so I must deal with it, those are the words from my mother. The infra-red sends data only, Internet connection is very poor, I use Vodacom, so I can not view my MMS's, I have to go to Vodacom's web page to view MMS's. Firstly it took for ever to set up my GPRS, as apparently it was not Vodacom approved, so for the first three months I could not use anything that wanted GPRS, now it is set up, but connection is poor. This phone really looked nice on the shelve in the shop, but I am disappointed.

I have had this phone for a while & I just think it's a LUMP OF JUNK. Why you ask? Because it says that it comes with 40 MP3 RINGTONES, but it never did :(

I am really frustrated that I bought this phone that cost me, 180 dollars & it doesn't do what I want it to do. I am really angry at this & I am never buying a Samsung phone AGAIN :(

As a phone it's the best phone what I've ever had! But if you need phone with full length MP3's forget it. Infrared works only for sending contacts. (Who would ever need this awful function? ) This phone doesn't support files bigger than 100KB & that's the reason why you can capture videos only for 2-10 seconds. You can't change with your files with other phones normally. Maybe send MMS with one picture or 4 seconds of video.

This phone is simple & ONLY for calls & messages. It doesn't have any extras inside. It looks great, but functionality for this price is poor!

But I still love this phone! & maybe that's all what phone should really do.

I have had this phone from July 2006 & I reckon it is a good phone.

It is quite bulky though. I mean, when I put it in my jean's pocket, it like fully sticks out. EVERYONE can tell that there is a phone in my pocket. It's quite good if you only want to text & call people. Like its camera isn't really good, it has a short time recording & that is because of its memory; the more stuff in it, the shorter it will record & its music. Well. You can't hear anything. The best you can get is 'voice recording' which only goes up to 2 minutes.

If you want your phone to look cool (& still be bulky :-/ ) & if you only text or make phone calls on it, this is your phone but if you REALLY care about the features, this phone is not for you.

Hope that I have helped you! =D

I needed a phone that will not send text messages by itself, a bad experience I had with another brand. Now, my Samsung X660 will take pictures by itself. Another nightmare but at least I will not be paying for the pictures taken inside my pocket. The design is very good with plenty of features both usable & unusable.

For all those people who are trying 2 use infra-red to put there pics on computer you can get cables off eBay for around £7 including postage & packaging I have one & I can easily put sounds/videos & pictures onto the computer but I can't put anything back onto my phone like music! I love this phone! I've only had Nokia's before so it took a little time to get used to this but it's really easy to use. It has nice bright graphics, a clear layout & is a pretty nice looking phone. The only slight downside is the pre-loaded ringtones which are rubbish but overall a very good bargain!

This phone does not have a keypad lock, so if you like taking photos of the inside of your pocket then this phone is great for you. Also it is stated that the phone takes mp3 ringtones however I cannot transfer a ringtone of mp3 format by infrared, & the Samsung website does not support this phone with games or mp3 tones.

A sleek & sweet looking phone that has some good quality features in it. I am happy with my new Samsung X660 & it is the first Samsung phone that I have owned. The call quality is good & clear. The camera is good fun & the results are good. The messaging is good apart from the video messaging that I need to try & master. Enjoying the X660 loads.

I am tearing my hair out with this X660 phone as I can not for the life of me download pictures to my PC. I am having major problems & as it is the first time I have tried it I thought it was operator error. I went through the motions for the forth time then decided to call in my more techie mates. I will let you know when they have had a look at the dame thing. Frustrating that I can not do it myself.
