Got my phone today, but I am having problems getting into the phone to put the battery in! I have been trying now for over 1 hour, I have given up & called O2 customer help desk, they said they have had no customers coming back to them with this problem & I was the first! Don't know if anyone else is having the same problems with getting into the phone or could possibly help, phone looks nice but can't rate it anymore than that at the moment.

Just received my phone, & can't get the back slide open. Phoned up 02 & got told to take it into the shop to get it open, phoned up the shop & got told can't bring it in as I bought it on line & 'anyway its easy to open, just slide it up' no way sherlock. Not happy as can't open it all using so much force that afraid the display screen will not work. Going to take it in & hand it over to sherlock.

Had my soul phone nearly a week now. Really nice phone, easy to use & like the touch pad (although sometimes it takes a couple of presses to get to the right thing) does anyone know if you can get the phone to vibrate when it rings as I've missed a few calls because I am in a noisy place. Any help, cheers?

I have had the U900 a week now & I love it love it love it! Upgraded from the D900 & no looking back!
I did struggle a little getting the cover off but only for about 2 minutes, I don't really understand all the negative comments about that.
I've taken some photos in low light & have been very pleased with the results.
The pros.
- You can now use your own sounds as the message alert tone which has been a long time coming.
- Also, you have complete control over the look of the phone, the pattern, colours, font etc. I haven't seen this on any other phone & I think it's great, when you get bored you can completely change the design & you have a whole new phone!
- the touch screen is really cool & again you can keep changing the colour of the icons.
- the wallpaper can be to constantly side show through specific photos which is a nice feature.
The cons.
- the sound of the music is not that loud & the caller ID pictures are pretty small.
- Also the videos I took on my D900 will not play on the U900 which is odd considering they are both Samsungs but I am hoping I can change the resolution using the PC Studio.
- There does not seem to be the option of blocking messages from certain numbers, I found that quite useful on the D900, however you can still automatically reject calls from certain numbers.
These are the only problems I have found & do not stop the U900 being the coolest phone on the market for a long time.
Well done Samsung!

The U900 Soul is the classy looking phone from Samsung. As the final instalment in the Ultra range, the U900 sure doesn't disappoint. Encased in quality stainless steel, it boasts a 5MP camera with Face Detection, 7.2Mbps HSDPA access for ultra fast download times & a powerful music library that includes a digital amplifier from Bang & Olufsen. But wait, there's still a lot left in the Soul! The slim slider also manages to cram in a 'Magic Touch' navigation panel that smartly changes with the application you're using, an MP3 player, FM radio, EDGE, RSS feeds, email & micro SD card slot!

Got mine today & love it upgraded from Sony Ericsson D750.
The back cover is stiff but then you don't want it loose do you, most battery covers are plastic this one is metal so not as flexible but a good solid feel I am of to play some more tunes on my soul.

Love it! When the touchpad changes it's so cool! It does sometimes not register your press but that is rare & the cool thing about it is that it vibrates when you press the touch panel to say that it has registered, which helps!
The camera is really good & takes pictures quickly, the speaker isn't extremely loud which is surprising when it's supposed to have the bang & olufsen amplifier but it's good enough.
Sometimes the touch panel can lag so when you've clicked on an option the window pops up on the screen but the touch panel hasn't caught up & changed to suit the option, it happens when you've clicked on something with a lot of memory in it e.g. message inbox & pictures, music, videos etc but it isn't to annoying.
This phone is very stylish, has really cool display features where you can make your own themes & change the colour of the touch panel display icons. If you're thinking of getting this phone because you like it then I say go for it because there is nothing wrong with it & it is really nice & cool but it's nothing special.

After fighting with Samsung for about a year, due to their non existent customer service team, I didn't think I'd buy another Samsung. Boy am I glad I did!
This phone is the BEST!

I agree with Mark from Birmingham. Any phone is rubbish if you can't get the cover off to insert the battery. Just got mine today & I am having the same problem. Hope Customer Services at Samsung or O2 etc Google around to see what customers are saying about their latest products! Maybe they'll read this. Have only given it 5% for usability because 0% is not available on the dropdown menu!

Only had it a couple of days, very stylish design & touch pad works very well with the vibrate feedback.
The features are good offering a 5MP camera although there are a lot of settings & I am a little disappointed with pictures in low light, that said I may need to tweak the settings some more. If anyone has the ideal settings please post them!
I had a K810i before which is a great phone & I still feel it takes better pictures but doesn't look anywhere near as good as the Samsung.
Phone has crashed a couple of times when playing about with it but no doubt a software upgrade will arrive to sort any minor bugs.
It's not an all singing all dancing model but it's cheap enough & offers some nice touches with clear call quality & expandable memory options.
All the games are 90 second demos so you will need to pay if you want games on your phone!
Recommended.

Got my phone today, Phone looks great, put the battery in to charge the phone. I had the same problem as John could not get the cover off the back to insert my sim card in. Is this a design defect?
Now having the handset replaced will get back to you all once have had the chance to have a play.

Just got me hands on it, looks wow but as for using it I cannot get the cover off the back to put in the battery in so I can play with it that's why for now I have give it 50% each for features & usability but I am sure it will be a lovely phone so I will get back to you all.

I really can't wait for this phone to come out! I need a new phone.
The touch screens I have seen are either too old, not in the style I like or locked to rubbish Vodafone! Now I have found a phone that is slick & I can get it on Orange YAY!
Does anyone know when it's coming out? Carphone Warehouse just told me soon LOL, I was like what about a date ha ha!

This looks really good! I wanted the F490 before it came out but the reviews aren't too good. I am hoping this is better! Shame about the internal memory though, considering the N96 coming out later in the year has 16GB, the U900 is lacking a bit!

This looks nice but just looks exactly the same as the LG KF600 (Venus) they should try a new design like there SERENE that stands out not keep copying each over.
