I REALLY want this phone! It looks FANTASTIC.

I saw it paraded with the other Ultra Edition 2 phones, U600 & U700 sliders now available, along with the also so far unreleased U100 candy bar mid to late 2007.

Been keeping my eye on the net & have also noticed it has DISAPPEARED from Samsung website line up! WHERE IS the U300 Samsung? It'd be BONKERS to not release this great handset.

Really wanted this phone but it seems to be very hard to get hold of. After 2 weeks of waiting for it to arrive I emailed them to ask about the delay & was told that the phone was out of stock & they didn't know when they be getting it in stock. I have cancelled the order & finally given up!

I had been looking for this phone since April this year & have now got it in silver from eBay. It is brand new & I am more than happy with it & it looks much better in the flesh than it does in photos. The complaints on the keypad are unfounded as it took less than a day to get used to the keypad. There is vibrate & ring at the same time on the phone & there is no expandable memory card slot. I have had this phone for two weeks & it is great & all who have seen it love the phone.

It looks OK to me, it's a bit like the razer & that sold loads, only this is thinner & has a better battery life & camera. The good thing about a flip phone is you can get a big screen & big buttons in a small package. (A must for my big fingers) You can get this phone unlocked contract free at mobile bee for £177.47 & it looks good in blue & gold.

I haven't used this phone or seen it in the shops but it seems ideal for me so it's on my Xmas present list.

If any one is using this phone could you give your review, would like to know if any probs with it.

I spoke to someone in Carphone Warehouse the other day, & she told me that a lot of manufactures are either putting back the release of their products or getting in within the next week due to the release of the iPhone. Someone told me about 2 months ago that it'd be released within the next six weeks, but then it never came.

I don't have this phone as this phone is ugly! I think it looks awful I mean the front is ugly. I know I am judging a book by its cover but I am just saying if you look at it properly it's horrible. Sorry if I offended anyone in any of this review. By the way I put low scores as for the design, features & usability because I don't actually own this phone & will not own it because of its looks.

Just like you guys I been wanting the Samsung u300. I searched high & low for it. But it seems no 1 is releasing it. Carphone ware house has got a page with the to be announced sign but that is it! There is no indication of it being released in the UK I have no idea why. Maybe a little later on because the u700 has come out I guess the u300 is the last in the ultra edition to b released. I couldn't wait, luckily for me I got the u300 off eBay it, was the only one on the UK site! Got it from Europe & I am telling you it is great! So slick for a decent price too. Not to rub it in LOL Knowing my luck the Samsung u300 will probz b released tomorrow.

I am from Malta I always buy Samsung phones nearly every 6 months, at the moment I have the u600 60% happy with it. I have been asking for the u300 these last 2 months can anybody from Samsung shop dealers give us a hint if this phone is going to be for sale.

I've checked with Samsung it is available, O2 say it will be released soon but can't say if they will be stocking it don't know about the other networks they are all in the dark, it says a lot about the business there in!

I really want this phone, but it is proving very illusive. So when I looked on the Samsung website for info of a release date, it cannot be found! Using the search the U100, U600 & U700 are all there but the U300 cannot be found. When looking up the Ultra Edition info again there is no mention of the U300. Can anyone throw any light on this? or give me details on where I can get one?

I went into the Orange shop yesterday afternoon, & all members of staff in there said they hadn't heard of the handset at all. One member of staff went to ask the manager & he said he had no idea about it, then she checked the system & there was no mention of it. If anybody knows of anywhere I can get one of these on Orange then can you let me know? I'd be very grateful.

When does this phone coming out? It's been advertised on the CPW website for ages.

Just to give you the latest on the, went into a CPW in Sheffield, did the same as the other James just to see if it added up, & there it was on the system, he even went round the back to see if he had any in, so it looks like its definitely be in stock in about a week to 2 weeks!

He also let me know that it had failed some network tests, but that's common with new phones, & only postponed the launch to ensure that had coverage across each provider. In any case he said its available now on Orange pay-as-you-go, it seems CPW won't have it on any other networks for a while.

But anyway, it's coming!

Same goes for me, saw it on eBay, but offers weren't great. Have thought about buying it from play.com where it was listed for a while, but it seems it has been recently taken down. So will just have to wait I guess. Thanks again to NEIL for keeping us in the loop!

There must be a problem with this phone, none of the big networks seem to be pushing it. I've seen it on eBay but the contract offered is not for me. The phone with its decent battery life slim design & 3 pix cam is just what I am looking for. If it's not out by mid Aug, it's the O2 cocoon for me.

Well now that it won't be released I hope they take the time to add a memory slot into it because that's the only weakness in this phone I can think of & it's very off putting for buyers. Hope it will come out as an improved version, fingers crossed.
