The slider on my phone does not work, it does not lock into position & constantly slides back down, & I changed from Vodafone over to Tesco's, & now I am unable to get on to the Internet. I am getting a new phone, after having this one for ten months.

IMHO for a high street price of £60 £70 the phone really excellent value. On my sample the slider is smooth with no lateral movement. The screen is reasonably large & bright, the phones slim & in all areas it looks & feels quality. I have larger fingers & find most phones difficult to use for text, No such problems with the SGH L810V Steel, I find the keypad easy to use. The phone is capable of the faster 3.5G, can be used as a Bluetooth connected modem for your Laptop when you need, can send & receive Email, also you can synchronise contacts & calendar with MS Outlook. Therefore short of moving to a Blackberry or other Smartphone the steel has all the bases covered, overall highly recommended.

I have had this phone for a couple of days now & have to say I am not very impressed! It is nowhere near as nice as my old phone (Samsung D840) & has lost some of the good features that my old phone had (such as being able to change texting font size & remembering recent recipients when texting so you do not have to search your whole phone book). However, the most disappointing thing about this phone is the interfaces. The menu interface is great but all the others look horrible & very old fashioned, especially the create new text message one & when you get a new message. I am so disappointed in this phone that I am tempted to send it back. If you do not mind about the design of the phone then it is probably for you. If you do, do not go anywhere near this phone!
