This phone is absolutely awful! The build quality is so cheap & nasty. The back was covered in scratches the first day I got & the cheap Perspex plastic covering the screen could be depressed without any force whatsoever. When you are texting the phone decides to freeze & when you press all the buttons they go blue. The back cover gets extremely loose.

When the novelty of the touch screen wears off (which only took 1 hour) & after that the phone has nothing & it's a cheap heap of plastic that's been put together in 10 seconds.

I got this phone last year for my birthday & it's been one amazing phone, I found it easy to use especially for my first touch screen phone, I get a new phone every year & I can't seem to find another for this year but still looking. But certainly this phone is ideal for your first touch screen. Camera doesn't have a flash but it's still good quality & you can set your own ringtone for your message & of course when someone is phoning you. Battery life is great. Will need a memory card though as you can't store much but 1GB should do as I can store lots of songs & photos on it.

I got the phone a couple of months ago & it was OK at the beginning but for the last 2 month it's been slow & doesn't work properly. Also it keeps scratching & the back is very, very, very, very lose & keeps coming of when it's in my hand & when it's in my bag.

Good all round phone, I found it a bit dodgy at first using the touch screen it's like you need tiny fingers to text, but after a couple of days you get it.

Its hard at first to find how you get your incoming text sound, so if you don't know, HERE.

Settings-> phone profiles-> then there are two little red arrows on the right, press them & you're flying.

I got this phone last July & loved it from the start, very easy to use, good camera, excellent battery life, good speakers. There were two things that meant I could not go on using it, my computer would not recognise the phone & I couldn't download any music. Apparently the software disc supplied with the phone does not work properly on Windows Vista as it is an old version. The second thing was that it dropped calls all the time, when talking to someone, I could hear them, but they couldn't hear me. From research done on the Internet, it seems this is a problem with the phone & the O2 network. I downloaded some MMS settings & adjusted a couple of things as apparently this can sometimes remedy the problem, but no luck. I have had to sell it & go back to using my old phone for the time being. It's a shame as it is a lovely phone.

This (along with the Motorola RAZR) is probably the worst phone I've ever had.

Its touch screen works only intermittently, navigation is illogical rather than intuitive & settings seem to unset themselves randomly.

If you're used to the sophistication of an iPhone or the sheer usability of Nokia, you'll hate it. If you're prepared to put up with the shortcomings of this phone, then I'd suggest that you could make life easier for yourself by switching to a manufacturer that hasn't forgotten that a telephone is more than a quick snap camera.

I just bought one of these for my husband, & he loves it. I am a Smartphone fan, & he isn't, so it's his first touch screen phone, & he's finding it a doddle to use & with fantastic features. There seems to be a lot of people struggling with the wallpaper which works just fine. You just need to get that the desktop you are sticking your wallpaper on is a scrolling desktop 3 screens wide & the middle of your picture is off to the right unless you scroll across. Or use an image editor to prep a picture to the right size.

My dad bought this phone for my birthday, overall I am really enjoying the features & fake calls, Texting is brilliant. Touch screen can sometimes play up but that is probably because it is my first touchscreen phone, I have had this phone for a week now & I have had neither of the problems mentioned below. I would recommend this phone, if your looking for a first touchscreen & also as a gift for youngsters as at the moment it is very popular =D.

Found it hard to text on the touch screen to start with but now I am used to it think it's great. It does take time if you're new to touch screens! The menu is easy to work its way round especially if you are used to Samsungs. The Vibration is not as good as hoped, when it goes off in my pocket I cannot always feel the vibration, when on silent, which is one of the only downsides to the phone. The battery life seems very good & so far no problems with the phone. Bought from Tesco on the Vodafone network.

On first impressions it looks & appears fantastic, however after a short while using it I found.

- Can't set your own message ringtone.
- No camera flash.
- Texting can freeze the screen.
- Calls cut out for seconds at a time.
- Can't use own pictures at your chosen size as wallpaper. (that white rectangle is REALLY frustrating).

So if you're happy with this phone then fine, I am pleased. Personally, I am off to buy another trusty U600. (My last one packed up after 2 years hard use).

Firstly this is a great phone! But I have had several problems with it!

- 1st one is when I am on the camera it loves to freeze & reboot on me!

- 2nd it seems to like cutting me off when on the phone to people! It also tells me the network is busy when I phone somebody, it does it on dialling my balance, so very frustrating! But put a 4GB card in it you can have a lot of pictures & music on your phone! But I would get another Samsung because they are better than Sony Ericsson's :).

Tocco Lite looks good but is best used for basic phone functions, calls & texts. As it's aimed at younger users I expected the phone to support emoticon use in text messaging, it doesn't. I use them frequently so this annoyed me. For a 3.2 megapixel camera I am unimpressed with the quality of pictures & as I am not a whizz at photography it has functions like an exposure meter I have no idea when to change this function. The manual does not give clear instructions on so many of the features so knowing your phone is a lot of guess work. If you want to put a call on loud speaker there are too many buttons (or taps) you need to press in the middle of a call you can't hold the phone to your ear to do this, as its touch screen you have to hold the phone in your hand to view the screen. I have read that the touch screen is too sensitive I haven't taken the plastic guard off the phone yet & finding sensitivity fine so hope when it peels off I am not accidentally pressing functions all over the place. Also don't think you can choose your own ringtone for the text message alert. Another thing that is majorly annoying me is that the image you set s your wallpaper goes into jumbo size- what is that all about? I have tried & so have friends to reduce the picture to normal size & I have just had the phone handed back to me in the end with frustrated mutterings.

It has taken me a while to get used to a touch screen which I have found to be a little over sensitive in this phone. I am not over impressed with the camera either, definately needs a flash & it does freeze up. Downloading MP3 from the computer is hard & time consuming, but put the disc in & be patient as you will see that it will come up with updates & it should then work. I don't think I would buy this phone again, it's hard to get the keypad back up when you are on a voice menu like getting your balance & you have to tap in more numbers, the only way I can do it is to keep the lock button down & keep it on load speaker & you wouldn't want to do this in public if you were topping up with your credit card! I find it fiddly, I'd rather have a manual keypad, I wouldn't buy another one.

I have seen the Sony Ericsson Satio & Nokia N97 there is really no difference but the camera the Satio is 12.1 mp & N97 5.0 mp well I use to have the N95.

Hey, Got this phone 10 minutes ago on Orange, it is great, touch pad is extreme. I love it :). The only bad bit it trying to get music from my laptop onto it, I can't seem to do it.

I got this phone yesterday & WOW! It's amazing, everything about it is just the best! I haven't quite figured out how to do everything yet but I am getting there.

Things I don't like is the amount of songs you can put on it, not a lot & scrolling down is kind of tricky but I am getting the hang of it. I LOVE the QWERTY keyboard. It's so easy to use especially because I LOVE texting!

Overall this phone is the best ever.

I've had this phone for a week now & so far I love it.

Good Points.
- Sleek Design.
- Responsive Touch screen.
- Plays music clearly.
- FM radio.
- Camera frames & photo manipulation.
- Easy To use phonebook.

Bad Points.
- NO EMOTICONS ON TEXT MESSAGING! :(.
- No 3G.
- Can't change the theme (other than two presets).
- No stylus.
- Wallpapers are difficult to set.
- No screensaver

The PC Suite disk provided doesn't work at all. Samsung have received many complaints & done nothing. Very annoying.

Also, it's difficult to chose wallpapers as there are three different screens side by side, however I didn't mind making my own wallpaper of three images put together.

Despite all of the above, I would recommend this phone as it's worth it!

I can't see a problem with this phone, I don't have it yet but all my mates do & they have had no problems & they reckon it is amazing. Is it just Carphone Warehouse that sells the dodge handsets or is it all shops?

I bought this phone 5 days ago (had a lucky escape & nearly was talked into the F480 Tocco). It is a really great phone I have had a few smart phones over the years but this is great. I found the menu a bit quirky at time in the way its laid out did not seem very logical for instance took some time to work out how to correctly size the wallpaper but once worked it out it really is simple call quality is good no dropped calls. Internet not exactly fast but I knew that & it wasn't important to me however it works very well. I found it a good looking very functional phone can highly recommend & the only reason I am taking the time to do this is because I was nearly put off purchasing this phone due to some bad reports.

This phone rocks been comparing it at work to the likes of the Tocco, & the LG & it leaves them standing, in my opinion this phone would easily sell at a much higher price.

Well I got this because my old phone broke, & I must say I am impressed for the price.

I have had the LG cookie too which I got when it first came out & if anyone is stuck between the two get the Tocco Lite. The touch screen on the cookie is so unresponsive, the cookie feels & looks cheap & tacky.

Back to the Tocco Lite. The camera is clear but no flash which I don't mind but others might, photo editing is a nice feature, sound quality is pretty good & the touch screen is very responsive, the widgits aspect is very useful & battery life isn't bad either.

I text & call a lot & I have not had one problem. Mine was bought from Carphone Warehouse & I am on Orange. I have heard people on O2 having problems but I heard it's something to do with the settings.

This phone isn't the best on the market but for £100 its great.

I would recommend it :).

I bought this phone from the Carphone Warehouse & I am on O2. I tried two different handsets, & with both I had the same problem, the person on the other end of a call could not hear me when I spoke! It's very irritating, the phone cuts out for like 5 seconds several times during a call. This happened during EVERY call I made or received. I had full reception & so did the other person. The second handset I tried also did the same thing.

Awful phone. It looks like the Carphone Warehouse are selling faulty handsets.

On the plus side, I did like the design & the feel of this phone, I got the pink one & I was upset to have to return it. I ended up getting a Cookie which doesn't look as good, but does the job a whole lot better!

The tocco lite is really easy to use & the looks are a lot more elegant than the LG Cookie which can look a bit cheap.

The QWERTY keyboard really helps when texting & the games are ACE!

I have had this phone a couple of days now & found it's really good but there are some issues.

Good bits are.
- QWERTY keyboard, large screen found the touch screen to be really good, music player is excellent so is the battery life, size & weight are good, better & more widgets than original Tocco.

Annoying bits are.
- No flash, , only 2 themes on the phone can't change icons but you can assign your own picture to the menu.

- You can't seem to hide the clock in top corner stays out all time so putting the widget digital clock on screen seems pointless because you will have 2 clocks on screen.

- Very minor I know just a bit annoying other than that this is a really good phone for the price new.

I got this phone on Saturday & have had a few days to have a good play & get used to the phone. As soon as I saw it I saw it was competition for the Cookie, which I did like, but wasn't overly keen on. This one just looked a lot nicer, & has some pretty cool features like the gesture unlocking. Here's what I think.

The Good bits.

- It's so cheap. It's a quality phone for £110 (including £10 top up). It looks more expensive than this & has a really nice finish. I think it looks far better than the LG Cookie, which has a quite cheap feel.

- the touch screen is really good. You're basically buying a normal Tocco, with a bigger screen, for half the price (just minus a few of the good features, like the camera).

- the music player really impressed me. It's no iPod touch, but pretty close. I am yet to see if it'll replace my iPod Nano. The special chip for music seems to really help.

- the T9 for texting is very good & intuitive. After a few letters it comes up with options for the word. It's just a bit tricky selecting these, as a lot of the screen is dedicated to the keypad for ease of use.

- the 3 home screens are really cool. I am forever gesturing between them, & it has a really nice fluid motion.

- the gesture unlock is really cool. You can assign letters to call contacts, unlock the phone, & open some of the applications. Shame there aren't custom gestures or unlimited possibilities for what they can open. It does save you some time though, I really like the speed dial ones.

- the phonebook list has a little draggable slider that skips to the letters of your contact, this cuts out lots of sweeping through your entire phonebook.

Not so good bits.

- the camera. Fixed focus is really not a good feature, & is a real shame because autofocus would really help. I don't mind though because I forget about having a camera half the time anyway & rarely use it.

- the accelerometer only rotates the QWERTY keypad to the left. This can be a bit annoying but not a big deal.

- the touch screen can occasionally be unresponsive, but usually works the second time. I've found you have to be quite firm with it, which can take a toll on your hands. I am already slightly missing my old but real keys, but this will probably need some getting used to.

- Setting the wallpaper was a bit confusing, as you seem to have to crop the imagine, which isn't easy on a touch screen. I found that as long as you have a massive picture & perhaps select a small bit, the results are really good.

- If you change the wallpaper to one of the phone's built in ones, all the widgets reset back to the pop-out bar. This is really annoying so I am using my own wallpapers from now on.

- Sometimes when pressing the menu, phonebook or keypad buttons on the home screen, the widget bar opens.

- I would've really loved to have Wi-Fi or 3G on this, to make the best use of the screen. I really wish I could've browsed on it at home to my heart's content, but I have a laptop, so I can live without it.

What you're essentially buying here is a budget Tocco phone, so this misses some of the better features, but also adds the larger screen, better looks, gesture unlocking & full QWERTY keypad. Personally, I really like it & it's a massive bargain.

Hope this is helpful as all the other reviews are very much the same!
