This is a courageous little phone. I have had it for three years now, been through 3 contracts now with brand new phones & always gone back to this one. Nothing has gone wrong with it & I am looking on eBay for one just incase anything does. Would love another one for the next 3 years. Best phone I have ever had!

A cracking little phone. I wear a suit all day & it sits in my top pocket without a single crease. My only fault with it is the level of noise from the ring tone. I miss so many calls because I have failed to hear it. But still its individuality wins me over. Well done Samsung.

Well the new Samsung P300 really rocks. It's not currently available in India. My dad got it from Kuwait. The system is cool & has a lot of features though it is a little expensive. On the whole a good & a very sleek phone.

Had my P300 about a year now, cracking little unit that does loads. As many other reviews have said, constantly have people asking me what phone it is & where I got it from, it like the Ferrari Enzo of the mobile phone world, very good looking & you don't see that many of them around.
Highly recommended if you can still get hold of them. Will one day be like a classic Bentley, real collectors item.
Well Done Samsung! Nokia take note.

Am currently on a very basic loan replacement for my P300 which is away to be repaired for the 2nd time in 5 months with the same fault (not taking any charge). In fact it wasn't repaired the first time it was replaced because they couldn't repair it & here I am again going through the same thing.
Looks fantastic people always comment on it, but keypad layout is rubbish if you text a lot & you cannot hear the thing if it's any further away than 10cm.
Samsung this was a brave breakaway from the norm but is going back to a D600 or D900 if they can't repair it this time - I just don't want another one.
Oh & while I am on the subject - the chargers for all the new Samsungs are so flimsy - go back to the old ones they worked really well!

The best phone I ever got my hands on, it could do with a little more memory as it only has 80MB & it could be a bit louder & have a more powerful vibration. & other than the keypad being a strange layout at first, it's flawless. Sleek, beautiful & functional, & always a conversation starter, what more could you ask for? Apart from a p310 because it looks even nicer >.

Looks great but, can't get the MP3 player to work, can't change the ringtones, can't get it to work in USA & it's difficult to hear it ringing. I'll be changing this as soon as I can.

Well what can I say? I had to have it I really did. But to be honest it was another waste of my money. Good design, features OK. Battery life good. Downloaded tones so I can sort of hear it ringing.
However. My problems are:
Reception: I use a Samsung P300, with T-Mobile contract & work in a hospital with a metal roof so as you can imagine the reception is non-existent.
Hot: I only have to talk on the phone for about 10 minutes & the headset is so hot that it burns my ear.
So if anyone wants one let me know. Currently using it as badminton practice!

I'v had this phone 4 about 3 weeks now & its starting to get on my nerves with the touch screen, it closes the applications down really easy with a touch of the back button. Yeah it looks great & has good everything else.
Just 2 worn ya guys!

I love the look of this phone & the weight but there are too many small niggles for my liking. When the phone is in the case it is impossible to hear it ring except in the quietest situations (I was in a cafe & couldn't hear it so I went into the store & couldn't hear it there either!)
My other concern is that even though it says that you can change the keypad tones, when you do it doesn't actually make any difference to the tone that you get. It's permanently a really annoying beep which cannot be changed. It thinks that it is a different tone & gives you a preview of said tone but when you use it, it is still the same annoying beep.
Needless to say that a phone that I cannot hear ring is more than a little useless so tomorrow I will have to take it back & swap it for a different model. :- ( & it looked so cool too.
If looks are more important than usability then this is the phone for you!

Firstly I love this phone, this is the second one I've had as the first one's Bluetooth didn't work. It's not perfect but it stands out from any other phone. Yep you can't hear it well if it's in your pocket or in the wallet but if the call is that important they will call back. The only problem I have with it now is the battery life, it's not lasting 24 hours on standby without it dying, & no I haven't kept it on charge every night. Also does anyone else think the wallet battery thing is just for show as I don't think mine makes a difference. If you don't like the everybody-has-one Sony Walkman phone then get this as it rocks.

This phone is total rubbish, don't waste your money. The buttons are dodgy, the Bluetooth isn't compatible with most devices. Battery life & talk time from no wallet is bad, with the wallet not too sure cos it looks too naff. The signal very poor too. Worst phone I've ever had, bad mistake.

I love this phone. People are intrigued when they see it, because it looks like you're talking to a calculator! The only thing I dislike is when I pick it up I always have 'missed calls' you just can't hear it!!!

Nifty little smart-phone, great design, very retro & distinguished...top marks for that & for daring to be different.
The T9 text mode on all models, regardless of where purchased, is available &, with continued use of it, the phone eventually remembers your preference (mine was from o2 & mine has now remembered)
The problem for me is the terrible software issues...
My pc reads & installs all the software & recognises when I attach the phone to it BUT IT STILL WILL NOT WORK...
I can't seem to get it 'online' & there is no instruction anywhere on how to do this...
Samsung customer service/support is a waste of time & will tell you it's your pc OR that someone will call you within 24 hrs to help you...they dont, &, their technical support team are not even available for you to call them!!
I tried numerous times to obtain a technical service helpline number & they wouldn't give me one...its ridiculous...
And so, the trendy, smart & intelligent phone, which I had so fallen in love with, got taken back to the store like a badly behaved puppy!! Shame on you Samsung...

I have tried entering a D path. File widesync 2.0? Any idea before it goes in the river

This is a cracking little phone. It is easy to use & with the addition battery within the case, has an impressive battery life. I have seen on a number of forums that people have had niggles with moving files & the text message function not defaulting to t9. These issues only seem to relate the o2 branded models, as mine was bought SIM free & does not suffer from these problems. As others have highlighted, the ring volume is not great, primarily because when the p300 is in its supplied case the speaker is covered -surely Samsung could have fashioned a hole in the case similar to the one on the other side used for the camera/flash. With these things considered the volume is still enough for most situations.
I would recommend the P300 to anyone wanting a small but stylish phone that is a break from the norm.

This is a love it or loath it phone, it has all the features you would expect & a few you wouldn't, especially for a phone of this size. Ask yourself, do you really want a phone that looks like everyone else's?

Just got this phone, it is a good little phone, clear & easy to use even though it is so small. Sound quality is excellent. A few niggly Samsung quirks, like not being able to move files or for some reason having to select T9 text input on each new message. Apart from this a really good phone.

I AM A PROUD P300 OWNER! AGREED... THE P300 DOES LOOK MORE LIKE A CALCULATOR RATHER THAN A HANDSET, HOWEVER, THIS LITTLE "CALCULATOR-LOOK-A-LIKE" IS BRILLIANT AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED! THE P300'S SMALL SIZE, MANY FEATURES, USER FRIENDLINESS, & EVEN ITS UNIQUE LOOK (HAVE HAD SO MANY CURIOUS PEOPLE ENQUIRING ABOUT MY P300) HAVE ME GIVING IT THE THUMB UP! IT COULD DEFINATELY HAVE DONE WITH A FUNKIER LOOK BUT OVERALL THE P300 IS IDEAL FOR SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A HANDSET THAT IS SMALL, UNIQUE & BOASTS ABOVE AVERAGE FEATURES.

It may look like a calculator which put me off to start with but it is such capable tiny phone that you can not really fault it. The looks could be a bit more funky for such a tiny phone & I agree it is a bit boring to look at but when you see the size & think about the features it is quite hard to believe.

Unpleasant on the eye would be my initial reaction to this mobile phone. It may have features which resemble the Samsung D500 but the looks are defiantly not the same. The Samsung D500 is a great looking phone & the best that Samsung have designed to date. The Samsung P300 is very small which I think has been designed around the Motorola V3 but that is another fashion phone but not at all user friendly, my partner has it & wants to change it soon. I will stick with my Samsung D500 for the time being.
