I bought one to replace my iPhone (& sold my iPhone) reading the review it was the best. After a few months of use it just cannot compare with the iPhone in terms of speed, features etc. The much hyped AMOLED screen is just a gimmick (you just don't see anything on the screen in bright light). My Samsung Omnia HD i8910 is an officially factory unlocked handset. Eventually I just bought a new Factory Unlocked iPhone 3GS & it rocks. Waiting for the launch of the iPhone 4G.

This phone is excellent, was considering the iPhone but couldn't get on with the qwerty pad in the shop, it's what you get used to! But didn't fancy having weeks of frustration? Anyway, this phone I've found to be very easy to get to grips with, actually, the qwerty pad I have found much easier than the iPhone? Possible due to the size, but have stuck with the alphanumeric, it's a slippery critter in the hand though, so I purchased a rubber slip on cover with a screen protector, take's brilliant pictures & video, the only downside. (you're going to know this otherwise you wouldn't be thinking of getting one) its big!

I don't mind this as my street cred went years ago! Teenagers may prefer something that won't take up all the room in their pocket? My other half has the jet & that looks like its little sister when side by side! The screen IMHO is slightly more responsive than the jet also, unless it's because I hit the keys better on the larger screen? It's still early days yet, but I am loving this mobile, brilliant phone from Samsung!

This phone is amazing in every way except when making phone calls. Camera is great, screen has to be seen to be believed & Samsung have done a great job with using s60 on a touch screen phone. I was just so happy with this phone until I made my first call & found I could hardly understand what the other person was saying, simply the worst call quality I have found on a mobile phone & I have owned many different phones over the years. The call quality is so bad I am now changing it for another phone, most likely n97. Has anyone had the same problem or know of any type of fix. This current Omnia HD is the 3rd one I have had as the store keeps changing them for me but they have all been the same.

Have had this phone a week now & I am very pleased with it. The camera is very good for a mobile phone, I haven't tried the video recorder yet, but have read other reviews which say it is great, call quality is really clear & the operating system is symbian S60 which is easy to understand.

I have had a lot of top end phones, & this is about the best, would definitely recommend it.

I have had this phone now for a couple of days now, it's taken me a few days to see how everything works. It's the best phone I have ever had, Nokia beware! The touch screen era is here now & your handsets are simply not good enough, the 5800 express is the worst example of a touch screen I have ever seen, Samsung handsets are far more superior & they have the looks as well.

I would strongly recommend this phone if for the HD video if nothing else. Well done Samsung.

Fabulous! Had this to replace my Viewty & was on the verge of having the Viewty II (Smart or whatever it's now called?) but when I saw the spec list for this I couldn't resist. Was a little dubious as my only other Samsung was a U600 which was truly AWFUL but this really is a work of art! Anyone expecting a little pocketable phone may be disappointed but let's be honest, you can't put the largest screen on any current mobile device into a tiny phone now can you?

Camera is good, video capture is phenomenal! My kids were far too quick for any of my previous devices but the Omnia HD manages to capture them in tiny detail (much to their amusement!).

Sound is fantastic through the dual speakers & even a technophobe like me managed to get the GPS working without too much trouble! Not sure how useful the built in compass will be for a desk jockey like me but hey, you never know!

All in all this is a masterpiece which I am yet to find fault with! Competitors face a tough task to catch up in a market this competitive!

Hat's off to Samsung, my U600 nightmare is over at last!

Had my i8910 for four days now & I can say that I am very happy the handset. The touch screen is very responsive & accurate & the size of the screen makes the use of the virtual qwerty & easy to use without errors. It is also fast & responsive so that even the fastest of texters should have no problems. The interface is clear & easy to use. In the short time I have owed it I am already speeding though menus finding content etc. Wi-Fi & Bluetooth connections are easy to set up & use which makes browsing the web a very enjoyable experience.

The camera & video WOW.

The camera is very versatile with many settings, face, smile, & blink detection, Image stabilisation, auto panorama which automatically stitches several pictures together & works very well & many other settings usually found on dedicated digital cameras. The quality of the photos is very good & with very reasonable indoor sensitivity it is one of the best cameras on a mobile phone I have come across. The HD video recording is truly impressive with many different settings for quality.

The music player has a great quality of sound with many sound settings. Player 3D visualisations & a coverflow style album search means even browsing is a visually impressive experience.

I had expectations for this phone & I have not been disappointed. In fact they have been surpassed.

anyone looking for a higher spec alternative to the iPhone look no further it is here.

A truly impressive phone, technologically in a league of its own. It's by far the best phone that Samsung has ever made. Thank you Samsung for a true object of desire.

Get one.

You won't be disappointed.

Unbelievable phone! I have been waiting for a phone to replace my G800 & with me being very picky about what I buy have found it very difficult but this just ticks all the boxes. I don't know any other phone out there that could stand up against it! Brilliant! Can't wait to buy it next week!

Whoever wrote that they'd rather have the Tocco ultra over this has obviously just bought a Tocco & is now really annoyed, & a tad jealous. This laughs in the face of the Tocco ultra, there isn't even a comparison. Looks fully loaded with features. Think it would be better with a slightly wider screen but OLED definitely looks impressive. No doubt Samsung's OS & UI will let it down. Given it 50 for usability because I haven't tried it yet.
