The Samsung Marcel S3500 is also known as the Samsung S3500 or the Samsung S3500 Marcel which is a mobile phone complete with a slide opening casing. The slide action makes this handset compact in design & shape, which is 48mm wide by 14.3mm deep by 99.9mm tall. Its slide opening casing is smooth & easy to glide opening when the user wishes to access the slide out keypad. The user can view the TFT screen when the handset is either open or closed & the screen provides a clear & colourful viewing display. The screen is 2.2 Inches in size when measured diagonally & displays up to sixteen million colours on the TFT type display & the user can enjoy a high screen resolution of 320 pixels by 240 pixels on the screen. The Marcel S3500 has a luxury look & feel to it as it comes with a luxurious metal effect silver coloured casing. This mobile phone comes with a quality look as well as a solid feel to its casing.

This handset comes with many built in features which provide entertainment for the user & these features are useful for the user to enjoy when the user in out & about. An integrated radio features is a FM type radio which allows the user to tune into their preferred style & type of radio station to catch up with the latest music, news updates, weather reports & much more. The radio feature provides the user with an easy to use radio listening feature which is easily accessed via the phones main menu system. The Samsung Marcel S3500 has a built in music playing feature which allows the user to transfer their favourite CD's & music which turns this handset into a portable MP3 player for the user to enjoy whilst travelling & whenever the user wishes to be entertained by their favourite tunes. The music player supports music playback in popular formats including MP3, WMA & AAC. The user can also enjoy hearing their ringing tone in either polyphonic sound or MP3 format. The built in messaging services provide the user of the Samsung Marcel with easy to access & use messaging features complete with a predictive text option available to assist the user when typing text input. A built in MMS message can contain a picture or video with both sound & text added to the message which can be sent & shared between compatible MMS contacts. The MMS service is a fun & extremely quick way to share pictures or video with friends using the Samsung Marcel S3500. This slider phone also supports SMS messaging which allows the user to create & share messages containing text which can be shared amongst SMS compatible users & is ideal if the user wishes to contact a friend with a quick text message rather than making a call. The Marcel S3500 supports a mobile email service which allows the user to communicate with friends when an email address is known as the user can enjoy creating & sending emails from their new handset. The phone supports a document viewer which allows the user to view documents in popular Microsoft formats as well as PDF files. A built in WAP browser allows the user to access the Internet for new information & the user can enjoy the mobile surfing experience on their handset.

The Samsung Marcel has an integrated speaker feature which allows the user to take a call over the phones speakers & enjoy a call out loud without having to hold the handset to their ear for a hands free call. I got this phone for my birthday in June off my mum & dad. I love this phone, the only thing I can fault with it is, about 8 weeks after I got it, it kept freezing & turning itself off & back on. So I took it back to the Vodafone shop, & they fixed it free of charge. Then 1 week after I got it back & nothing else has gone wrong. I love this phone, & would recommend anybody else to buy it.

Really like this phone, but wonder if anyone can help with a problem. Sent messages do not appear to be saved in sent or out box, but do appear in the call log. However if I try to read them from this location, the phone locks up & the slide has to be closed before I can reuse it. Incoming messages do not cause the same problem. Any ideas?

Had this phone for nearly a week (I had the LG Cookie & just couldn't get on with the touch screen) so far, I love it!

It's easy to use, I haven't even looked at the manual too much. The camera is good, obviously not as good as some these days but it does the job & has zoom too. The themes can be changed & you can make your own using your own photos, which is fun! Holds 500 SMS.

Love this phone. It has a theme creator, holds 500 text messages & you can save the text messages from your inbox to the calendar or the memo. Memo & tasks hold up to 100 each, which you can save to the 16GB card. It is very fast, good display & the slider is good. You can use your own message alert tone. The battery is poor though & in the sent box, it does not show you the time & date of that message, but it does in the call log history.
