The Samsung L170 is a phone that wants to be noticed as it comes in a very striking designed casing which is extremely different looking. This attractive phone is a 3G capable handset which is very light to hold & is a sleek but striking designed handset. The handset comes in a metallic silver coloured casing which looks incredibly stylish. The Samsung L170 has a 1.6 Inch screen which displays up to 262k colours on a TFT screen complete with a screen resolution of one hundred & seventy six pixels by two hundred & twenty pixels. A large navigation pad is prominent on first impressions of this handset which provides the user with smooth & easy to control navigation through menus. A touch sensitive keypad is situated below the large navigation pad which is easy to use & comes with raised keys which adds to the overall design & look of the Samsung L170. The phone is lightweight for a 3G handset which weighs 86 grams in total. The size of the handset makes it easy for the user to handle & use which is 10.7mm in depth by 102.3mm in height & 45.8mm in width.

This is a striking looking 3G phone which comes with many features which will keep the user entertained & communicating with friends & family. A built in camera provides the user with a picture capturing & video recording feature. The camera is a two megapixel camera which comes with a built in flash & an auto focus feature to ensure a clear image is captured. The Samsung L170 comes with video features which allow the user to record, store, edit, delete & share their video recordings. The 3G phone comes with blogging capabilities which allow the user to add their photos to their blog site for all their friends & family to view. A second camera which is a VGA camera can be used when the user wants to take part in a 3G video call with another 3G video call compatible contact. The user can view their contacts expressions whilst talking to them & the user's response is captured by the VGA camera & displayed on the contacts screen.

The built in 3G technology provides the user with a high speed mobile phone which comes with easy to use connectivity options. The user can connect their Samsung L170 to other devices to print, transfer & download which can be gained via a USB connection using a USB cable or via Bluetooth® wireless technology. This 3G phone supports EDGE & General Packet Radio Service known as GPRS which provides the user with fast mobile transfer rates. The Samsung L170 is a tri band technology phone which will automatically switch between the three GSM networks. A fully charged battery can provide approximately 240 hours of standby battery time. The user can enjoy approximately 2.7 hours of talk time from a fully charged battery. The L170 has 21 Mbytes of memory & the user can extend the phones memory by adding a MicroSD™ memory card to suit the users storage needed.

The user can use the onboard messaging services to stay in contact with others as the services are easy to access & use which is ideal when the user has a busy life. The user can choose between creating & sending a SMS message which is a text input message, an email to any email contacts the user has or a MMS multimedia message which is a message containing a photo or video. The user can choose the message to suit their messaging needs & enjoy receiving messages from others on their beautiful new 3G phone. The Samsung L170 comes with Internet access via the main menu & allows the user to surf the Web using the WAP XHTML Web browser & the NetFront™ HTML browser complete with a RSS feeds feature. An integrated music player & a built in FM radio feature allow the user to enjoy music with them wherever they go. The music player is accessible via the main menu & the user can transfer all their favourite tunes onto their Samsung L170 for a fun listening experience. A FM radio complete with a RDS feature allows the user to listen to a radio station whilst reading on screen information. The 3G phone supports MP3 ringtone so that the user can hear their favourite tunes out loud each time a call comes in.

Wanted to go old school but still have all the new & modern features, this little beauty has it all.

I have only used Samsung mobile phones, the keypads are nearly all the same with very easy to use navigation.

The L170 is very light, great reception & it has everything, I just did not want to get another mobile with any moving parts, e.g. Sliders & flip tops.

If you're Looking for style & ease, this is the phone for you, another great mobile by Samsung.
