Hey, I have had this phone for a few months now & I absolutely love it. It packs all the features of the top end phones on the market.

The phone is awesome & is an ideal substitute to my digital camera & web browsing is fast & the navigation is fantastic.

unfortunately rang as it was just their numbers which was a real pain. This has now been fixed & the phone works as well as ever.

I have noticed that there are a lot of issues with dust getting in the display, which is what I also experienced. Screen protectors are the way to go & we have just had a batch in today & these protectors work extremely well stopping dust getting into the screen. I have one fitted to my phone & it works a treat.

I hope this helps people out with their dust issues.

I have had this phone for 6 months now & I am still finding things on the phone that I didn't know existed. I used to be a Sony Ericsson fan until I looked at a picture of the Samsung i8510 & fell in love with it. The display is easy & texting is now the easiest thing. The camera & memory are the best features on the phone as I have an 8GB phone with an 8GB memory card in it to make it a 16GB phone & the camera is a whopping 8 megapixel. There is no need to buy a separate camera with this phone. I LOVE IT.

I am extremely interested in buying this phone. However I am put off by the dust problem of this phone. Was it a problem with the older models then? Has Samsung found a way to resolve this? If not, does anybody know if a screen protector (plastic film) is any good to alleviate the dust problem? Please help.

All I can say is that this Samsung is amazing! For the people that say the battery does not last, I can only say this, either you have a problem with the phone, or you work for a rival company. The battery lasts for ages, even if you make a lot of calls. No I don't work for Samsung, I just know how to appreciate a good mobile phone.

I have had my Samsung i8510 for long enough to know this was the best buy of all the mobile phones I have purchased. I have already done my review of this phone some months ago on this site & my thoughts remain the same. However I was a bit worried when I was reading reports that dust was getting into the display area? the actual screen lies behind a protective glass cover which should be air & dust tight. I guess that a certain batch of phones must have a build fault & probably Samsung are already aware of this problem. My phone display does not have any dust embedded under the glass what so ever. Three of my friends have also got the Samsung i8510 & they have no dust under the glass. My guess is that these are very isolated faults & if taken back to the supplier I am sure they would gladly either replace them of have them repaired. Don't let these isolated reports put you off buying this phone. It's a really really good robust high spec phone.

Very very disappointing BATTERY LIFE. You have to Charge it every day. Just take a couple of photos & your battery indicator reduces to half. You will certainly waste your money on this phone, trust me.

I was always a Sony Ericsson fan for years, & it took me a lot of courage to move on to a different phone manufacturer & was glad I did. I tried the Nokia N82 & this was my first migration into the Symbian world of technology. I was so pleased with this phone that I didn't want to part with it. It did everything perfectly. So along comes my husband & suggests that I try the Samsung i8510 innov8. I couldn't believe my ears! Surely there simply cannot be any phone better than my trustworthy N82. Well guys & Gals. There is!

What a superb phone, 8 megapixels of pure picture quality. Beautiful Slide up action & what a lovely clear display. Wow Samsung you have certainly won my heart with this awesome phone. I have had this phone for a month now & it never stops to amaze me what it can do. How about taking a photo of a business card with say 3 to 4 numbers on it plus names & addresses? Then in seconds those names & numbers with associated addresses are all neatly wrapped into your contact list, in correct order. I am still trying to get my head around this feature & how it works. Magic!

Hey, I tried filming my little boy dashing around our house using the slow motion effect. Seeing is believing. It's very surreal watching your little 15 month old moving in slow motion without any judder. Now remember this is mobile phone people.

I thought my Nokia N82 was going to be hard to beat for music, but I was mistaken, this clever little Samsung has scored top marks for quality sound reproduction. Inner ear phones with high quality ear pieces to give you surround sound. How do they do that I ask myself. Now I am no technical wizard, but it only took me a day to work my way around the menus etc.

The Wi-Fi utility is great for my regular visits to the World Wide Web. & fast too! & it saves me hogging the PC much to my Husbands praise.

It runs beautifully, no software hanging, no slowing down, battery life very good.
I hear quite often how people experience battery power running low just after a couple of hours, regardless of make & model of phone.

Little tip for all those who don't read the most important part of your mobile phone manual. When you first use your phone, even if your battery has some life in it, let it completely run out of power before you charge it. This will be your first & only chance to avoid accelerated battery drain for the remainder of your phones battery life, unless you do have a genuine faulty battery. My i8510 lasts about 4 to 5 days without a charge & I surf the web every day & listen to my music as well as making calls.

So Samsung, you now have another loyal fan. Keep up the good work.

Love the phone, Only one problem, had it replaced twice for the same thing. The screen gets dust under it & you CANNOT get rid of it. Tried a vacuum cleaner, but even that didn't shift it.Samsung UK are aware of the problem & said there will be a fix available soon, what does that mean, they will replace ALL phones, I think not.

Anyway, your choice!

I've had one for about a week & my observations are.

- It is actually considerably smaller than the pictures denote (good thing).
- Picture quality is superb (good thing).
- Links to home broadband easily (good thing).
- A distinct lack of information, even the full user guide was missing from the Samsung official site despite the quickstart guide pointing users towards samsung mobiles site (but available elsewhere). Bad thing.
- Pitifully few games available & you'd expect given the superb graphics that basics such as Tetris, Pacman, space invaders would be available when they are not. (Bad thing).
- Looks superb in black (good thing) but think it will look awful in silver.
- Operation is surprisingly easy for both myself & the wife (she has one too).

Regards Mark.

So only 4 grams heavier than the Sony Ericsson C905, looks a lovely phone, with loads of features. Can't wait to test run one in the flesh before I decide.

I am quite a fan of Samsung phones, I went from a D600 to a G600. From here on, I had the N95 8GB, but just couldn't get the gist of it. After that, I returned to the G600 & then I purchased the i8510, WOW, what a phone! Definitely worth the money!

The sound quality is just spectacular, in comparison to the N95 or any other phone out there, the i8510 is way at the top. It's UNTOUCHABLE!

The features are brilliant. The design is simple yet sophisticated. Its usability is remarkable, very easy to get used to. I am very happy with this model, very happy indeed.

Well done Samsung, You definitely nailed it this time!

I just got this phone on Orange. Awesome phone so far, a bit heavy & big, but like my old N95. So far the photo quality is awesome. Day shots like a digital camera. Night shots are blurred a bit & the D pad takes a bit to get use too. But it's so much better than my N95 8GB. This will kill the N96 for sure!
