Samsung i7110 Review

The Samsung i7110 is a 3G Smartphone which is a member of the Samsung i range. This desirable handset comes in a solid bar form which is coloured in a sleek silver on black coloured casing. The surface of the Samsung i7110 has an elegant brushed metal finish which gives the handset the classy look it deserves. The solid bar form allows the user to access the keypad whilst viewing the high colour screen & gives the 3G Smartphone a solid yet compact feel. The keypad is subtly etched out in the brushed metal surface & the keys are well spaced which makes inputting text & numbers easy for the user. The Samsung i7110 comes with a smooth gliding trackball navigation control which allows the user to make menu selections with ease. The phone has a 262k colour screen which provides a high resolution display on a 2.6 Inch size display. The Samsung i7110 is from the same range as the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 which is another stylish member of this Samsung range. The overall size & weight of the i7110 is ideal for carrying, holding & using which measures 12.9mm deep, 52mm wide by 118mm tall & with a weight of 125 grams this handset will not weigh it user down.

The handset comes with internal memory which is fifty megabytes in size & the user will find a hot swappable memory card slot which allows the user to insert a compatible memory card for further memory expansion. The Samsung i7110 supports a MicroSD™ memory card which allows the user to add a memory card in the size to suit the user's storage needs. The Samsung i7110 comes with a Symbian based operating system & the user can enjoy a user friendly interface on their 3G Smartphone. The handset works over a GSM quad band network & HSDPA network which allows the user to enjoy roaming worldwide with their handset but the overall network coverage is dependent on the users chosen network provider so therefore network coverage may vary from phone to phone. The built in 3G HSDPA technology allows the user to enjoy high speed Internet connectivity, multitasking skills such as the user can answer a call whilst surfing the Internet or accessing emails. The Samsung i7110 comes with WLAN WIFI connectivity which allows the user to connect their handset to the Internet via a wireless WLAN or close hotspot which gives the user the freedom to connect to the Internet when the user is at home or out & about. The user can connect their Smartphone to other compatible devices either by using a cabled USB connection or a wireless Bluetooth® connection. A Bluetooth® connection can be used when the two devices are up to ten metres apart & both devices support Bluetooth® wireless connectivity. The USB cabled connection can be used between devices which both have a compatible USB port & then the user can use a USB cable to connect the two devices when transferring data files.

This stylish & well equipped handset comes with a five megapixel camera feature which supports both video & still image capture. The Samsung i7110 turns into a high quality camera when the user wishes to capture either a still image or record a video clip. The five megapixel camera comes with useful features which allow the user to capture a high quality image or video. A flash function will brighten up those darker environments & an auto focus feature will make sure the user captures a clear & precise shot when using the camera. The Samsung i7110 comes with a geo tagging feature as well as an image stabiliser which will counteract all those small movements made by the user for a smooth & high quality result. A built in face detection feature will automatically focus on the subjects face when the user is taking a picture. This 3G Smartphone supports video playback in many popular video formats which allows the user to play their own video clips which have been stored or video clips which have been sent from others either via the messaging services, via the Internet or via a data transfer. The Samsung i7110 supports videos is MPEG4 format, WMV video format & DivX video format to name a few. The user can experience video playback at up to thirty frames per second or up to one hundred & twenty frames per second in QVGA format. The i7110 Smartphone comes with a second camera which has a small lens located on the front of the handset above the screen. This camera is used when the user wishes to take part in a 3G call allowing the user to experience a face to face call with other 3G calling compatible users.

The user can access the Internet via the WAP browser & enjoy catching up with their favourite websites. A built in email service & messaging services allow the user to stay in contact with friends & family. The Samsung i7110 supports emails directly to the Smartphone which allows the user to store & manage their emails on their handset. The messaging services include an instant messaging service which works like an online chat with other instant messaging users. The user can use text to communicate in an instant with other users that are online at the same time. This services works like an instant messaging service on the user's PC but this service is fully mobile. A text messaging service allows the user to send, receive & store messages containing text to other mobile phone SMS compatible users. The user can share pictures & video clips with MMS compatible users by creating & sending a MMS picture message containing text, sound & a picture or video recording. The Samsung i7110 has a rechargeable battery which is recharged via the power adapter provided with the handset. When fully charged the battery can provide up to 6 hours of 3G talk time or up to 11 hours of GSM talk time.

An integrated music player allows the user to enjoy playing their favourite music tracks. The player supports a wide range of music formats including MP3, WMA & Real to name a few. The user can access the music player feature from the Smartphone's main menu & enjoy a private listening experience via a set of compatible headphones. The user can add their favourite tracks by simply transferring music files from their CD's or downloading new songs using an Internet music store. The i7110 comes complete with a built in radio feature which allows the user to listen to their favourite music stations, news stations & much more on this stylish handset. This Smartphone has a GPS navigation feature which uses the FM transmitter to allow the user to hear their directions over their cars speaker system. The built GPS navigation system allows the user to gain directions to new locations or simply guides the user to their next destination. The Samsung i7110 is a beautifully looking 3G Smartphone which comes with all the features a user could want from their mobile handset.
