Samsung F510 3G Phone Review

The Samsung F510 is a highly capable 3G mobile phone which comes with a DVB-H TV broadcasting feature. The handset is compact & stylish which comes with high quality cutting edge mobile phone features. The handset is 116.5mm in height, 50.4mm in width & 10.7mm in depth which provides a slim & compact 3G phone. The Samsung F510 is similar in design to the Samsung F500 Ultra Video but the built in features differ between handsets.

The F510 comes with dual colour screens & dual side controls which allows the user to simply flip from one of their handset to the other to suit the features they want to use. The main screen is large & comes with high colour & high screen resolution so the user can enjoy viewing videos & TV broadcasts on a bright display. The large widescreen is 2.4 Inches in size & comes with dedicated multimedia controls. The screen comes with a hinged mechanism so therefore the user can stand their phone on a desk or table & enjoy viewing video & TV broadcasts in an ideal viewing position. The main screen provides a 262k colour display with a 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. The second screen is smaller in size which measures 1.5 Inches & comes with a numeric keypad for text & number input. The second screen provides a 65k colour display with a screen resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The Samsung F510 is in competition with the Nokia N92 which is a 3G Smartphone complete with high specification built in features & comes with DVB-H TV broadcasting capabilities.

The phone comes with a video player which supports MPEG4, H263, H264, WMV, AVI, DivX & AVI video files. The built in video player feature provides QVGA video playback at 30 frames per second up to 544kbps. The main feature of the Samsung F510 is the built in DVB-H TV broadcast feature which allows the user to view mobile digital TV when in an area with DVB-H reception. The DVB-T broadcasting is current a new mobile feature but will become highly popular for phone users in the near future. The integrated 2 megapixel camera comes with easy to use camera settings & effects which allows the user to capture a clear & colourful photo or video recording each time the camera feature is used. The camera is easy to use & allows the user to capture & store their photos & video recordings when they are on the move. The Samsung F510 is a multimedia focused 3G phone which will keep the user entertained at all times.

The Samsung F510 comes with an entertaining music player which the user can access & enjoy from the multimedia screen side of their attractive handset. The user can view their music selection & use the multimedia controls to navigate through the music menu. The music player supports & plays MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC++, AC3 & WMA music files. The user can add & change their ringtone to suit their style of sound which can be heard in polyphonic or MP3 format. The phone comes with Java™ games which provide a lively gaming experience & another entertainment feature for the user to enjoy when they are on the move. The user can stay in contact with compatible messaging users but creating & sending a SMS text message or a MMS multimedia picture message. The message services are easy to use & allow the user to stay in contact with others without making a call. The MMS message can contain a picture, photo or video complete with text with sound, which can be shared with any compatible MMS user. The SMS text message can contain text input which is easy to create using the keypad side of the Samsung F510. The phone comes complete with call features which include a handsfree call speakerphone feature, conference call feature & a vibration alert call signal to avoid all those disturbances.

The handset comes with an easy to manage phone book which holds up to one thousand contacts for the user to manage. The user can add details to their contacts, as well as remove or edit details & numbers. The phone comes with a photo caller ID feature which allows the user to add a picture or photo to contacts in their phone book. The chosen picture or photo will be displayed on the screen every time the contact calls the user. The Samsung F510 comes with a large 410 Mbytes of built in memory & with a expandable memory facility. The user can add a compact MicroSD™ memory card & expand their phones memory capabilities up to 2 Gbytes. This looks like a very bright idea that could be wonderful but how many times have Samsung said they were making toping of the range smartphones etc & just canceled them I am not completely convinced. Come on Samsung proof me wrong I would be so pleased if you could I would really like you to release this device. Can't comment on performance & Usability because the device isn't even out yet & the specs aren't really known.
