Samsung F500 3G Phone Review

The F500 Ultra Video 3G mobile phone has been designed by Samsung with entertainment in mind. The handset has a unique & stylish design which allows the user to use the double sided controls to suit their operating needs. The reversible controls can be used as phone controls on one side & on the other side there are controls for the high quality video feature. The Samsung F500 Ultra Video is a multimedia focused 3G mobile phone which comes with entertaining functions & all in a beautifully user friendly handset. The handset comes in a sleek black coloured casing which adds style & sophistication to the look of the Samsung F500. The phone comes with a large 2.4 Inch colour display which provides a clear 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. The screen can be swivelled from the control pad which provided the user with an adjustable viewing angle or simply provides a stand for the screen.

The Samsung F500 comes internal memory & with a memory card slot which allows the user to extend their phones memory up to 2 Gbytes. The user can add a 2 Gbyte MicroSD™ memory card which allows the user to store up to two movies which are approximately two hours long each. The handset is slim which only measures 10.7mm in depth, 116.4 mm in height & 50.4mm in width. The handset if compact & slim which makes carrying the phone easy for the user.

The phone comes with a video player & recorder which supports MPEG4, DivX, WMV & H264 video formats. The F500 Ultra Video is the first mobile phone to support DivX video technology which allows the user to compress video & still gain the benefit of high quality video footage. The user can enjoy the latest video technology on their Samsung F500 which can be viewed, saved, recorded & shared with other contacts. The F500 Ultra Video comes from the same family as the Samsung F300 Ultra Music mobile phone & the Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging mobile phone which are all feature focused mobile phones with cutting edge designs.

The user can have fun capturing their memories as a still photo using the 2 megapixel digital camera feature which comes complete with flash & zoom. The camera comes with photo finishes & effects which will enhance the finished result. The user can capture, store, share & transfer their photos ready to print from their Samsung F500 Ultra Video. The photo caller ID feature allows the user to assign a photo or image to a contact in their phone book & when the contact calls the selected photo will be displayed on the large colourful screen.

The F500 Ultra Video is a 3G capable mobile phone which comes with Edge technology which provides the user with fast data transfer which are three times faster than GPRS. The Bluetooth® technology provides a wirefree connection between other Bluetooth® devices. The user can transfer data & enjoy a wireless connection between Bluetooth® capable devices. I am not saying this phone is the phone of all phones. But you got to admit there's no other phone like it out there. It can be purchased in UK but at the moment it'll set you back few £100s. F510 which is the next generation has a digital tv-put & is out next autumn/winter. So it's best just to wait, that's if you can.

By the way if you are looking for the one to receive freeview as well you need to look at the f510 (similar to f500 except that it has freeview reception as well :D)

Everyone who is everyone is talking about this wonderful looking phone & yes I may of started the chit chat but I am sure I won't be the one to end it. It is a great looking phone with some really cool features, but the question on everyone's mind is, when is it being released in the UK, well nobody can give me an exact released but I have been advise between quarter 3 & quarter 4 of 2007, which means just in time for my upgrade.

I had Samsung d900 great screen, features except the screen cracked turned black after a week. This phone looks the same & I would not recommend to anyone unless you have money to buy another one whenever it breaks.

This phone looks brilliant! I so can't wait until its on sale because I want to buy it! I would recommend this phone to everybody. But the disadvantage is the really little battery life & the small screen on one side. At least it can't get scratched as it can stand!
