Guys, good news, another way to turn MP3 off is to dial this number STAR HASH 06 HASH, then a IMEI message shall appear. Close the phone now!

I did the following. Added DE STAR HASH 06 HASH code to the contact list, & them added it to the quick contact, the for example, I chose the number 9 to activate de code, after pressing it, the IMEI message appears & the I close the phone. Also made the screen turn off after 3 minutes. It's a perfect phone for someone that wants it small with stuff. 10 points!

I really did love this phone a lot. It has great memory, a good camera (when I uploaded my pictures to the computer they looked great) & I love the design.

I didn't know how to install the package to download stuff to & from the phone to my laptop, so I just Bluetooth them instead! It's really easy & very fast :).

However, I am VERY ANGRY at this phone. It was simply in my bag, & somehow the screen cracked. I did not drop it or anything like that, & it also had a screen protector.
When I took it back to Carphone Warehouse, they said they could not give me a new phone & that it must have been my fault. They also said I would have to pay 45 pounds to get it fixed. WHICH WAS the SAME PRICE AS the PHONE!

Can anybody help me? Thanks.

Having had this phone for a year & a half I would just like to say that it is a very good phone, I do admit I have lost it a few times but have got it back fairly easily. I have dropped it millions of times & it is still perfectly fine so anyone who says that it breaks easily is a complete liar & is obviously not looking after it. The sound is great & I have a 2GB memory card which allows me to store loads of songs. The camera isn't great but it's not bad either, I say, if you want a camera device then buy a camera!

All in all, a very good phone.

Great phone, have had it for 6 months now & I can't fault it. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is how to set a missed call sound. I get the message but would like a tone too so that I know I've missed a call without physically having to check the phone. Thanks.

I have had this phone a year in February, it is a good phone for looks, texting & the great MP3 player, but my Bluetooth is a problem as I can send but I can't receive & sometimes it won't do either. It also turns itself off quite a lot & now it is starting to play up with the music player bit as well, as when you swivel it down it goes to music player but it takes ages to go to the music player now & when you swivel it back round again I have to wait a good 2 to 3 minutes for the music player to go which is really annoying when you want to do something quickly e.g. Look at the time, answer the phone read a text stuff like that. Generally this is a very good phone, it's just not so good if you use the Bluetooth & music player a lot & need a phone that you know will be in good working condition over the 1 year mark. This phone is always good if you tend to drop it a lot like me as I am always dropping it on the floor & from heights by accident, it hasn't broke or chipped or scratched really & water doesn't affect it. So it is a really good phone if you want it for texting, calling, looks & the things it can do but the music player & Bluetooth tend to go wrong.

The phone looks great & has a great memory. But I have had the phone for a year now, this is the second F210 I have has as the first broke straight away. The phone I have now has broken too, I have has a lot of trouble with the camera & text messages on this phone, it simply doesn't let you take pictures or send a messages. I am fed up of taking the phone back so I am going to order a new mobile. If you want a phone that looks great then much recommended, but the gadgets & overall quality of this phone is poor.

Got this phone today, always had Sony Ericsson's which keep breaking. As long as this phone does not break like my previous ones then I think I am going to be very happy with it. It looks cool & it seems easy to use. Had one little problem with turning the MP3 screen off but after reading some of the other reviews on here I have easily rectified the problem. So thanks people for giving their expert knowledge to technophobes like me. Enjoy the phone it is a good little piece of kit.

This phone looks cool but the features are not that good & it's small & quite hard to use. If you want a fancy looking phone its good, the memory & MP3 is very good if you don't want a phone for any of that don't bother go for a different one. This phone is also very easy to lose & break you have to be very careful with it.

I have had this phone almost a year & I have only had one problem with it. The music player is brilliant! It's ideal for people who love texting because the buttons don't wear out & you can choose the style of writing you want which is cool.

The only problem I have had with it is that a couple of days ago it turned off for no reason (had full charge & everything) & it wouldn't turn on for 3 days. I was well annoyed but now it is fine.

It's also good for clumsy people who drop their phone all the time like me because it won't break & it doesn't turn of when you drop it & if it gets wet it doesn't affect it at all.

I would recommend this phone to anyone.

I really love this phone, its stronger than a hammer it looks great & the swivel design is just great as well it has so much memory I have millions of songs & still got plenty left. I have a 512MB memory card & I compared them together & the phone memory has more. So I recommend buying it because it has lots of features but if I am honest I only use it to ring & text, it's a lot better than the older version because it has 3 buttons going across instead of two that was murder. The one very small problem is when you close it an MP3 comes up so you can't unlock it while its closed but you get used to it, I love it when you can set a wallpaper so it changes every time you close it & open it again if you have any more questions ask me. Thanks Jack.

Hey, does anyone know how to turn off the annoying tone that plays each time after you send a message? Don't want to put on silent or vibrate, I would like to keep it on loud but lose this tone. I can't seem to find it in the settings. If anyone can help I would be very grateful, apart from that small annoying point I think it's such a fabulous, classy little phone. Hey there I got my phone on my birthday last year & I haven't had any problems with it. The way to stop the music from playing when you don't want it to is that there is a little button on the side of it. Flick it across & it locks the dial. Flick it again to unlock it. I have one problem though, can you save pictures to contacts because my mum has the Nokia 7373 & she can but after she showed me on her phone I was wondering if I can but I haven't been able to find it. Another problem as well, I put music from the computer to my phone & used up all the memory but when I looked at the available memory left it said I had half a Gbyte left. It might be my phone but if anyone has had the same problem then can you tell me please.

Overall it's a great phone & I love it. I'm not getting a new phone yet as I'm still in love with this one thanks.

I had this phone for the last 3 months. It's great, added some more beauties to my list. You can put PRIVACY LOCK to avoid MP3 Player by going to Settings, Security, Privacy Lock, My Files (Select or Check), Save, Enter Password (you can Put the Numbers of your Choice before that you can check the default password in the Owner's Manual). It really works.

When you close Swivel, You will find Enter Password on screen. But don't worry. Just ignore it. When you open a Swivel it will prompt to Enter Password. You can simply press Exit. It's as simple as that.

In other aspect it's a great phone. Speaker volume is bit on slower side. But sound really clear & loud with original Headphone (box pack). Camera is also good. You get extra image capture. Then it appears on screen at the time you take photo. You just simply imagine extra area on both side. When you take photo. You can see that when you transfer the picture to PC or in preview or in saved pictures also.

The only thing is that. You can't come over the DATE & TIME. It will appears on the screen, which will destroy your wallpaper image.

If anybody has a solution to off DATE & TIME display. Please revert with this solution. Have a great TIME with great PHONE, Thanks & Regards.

Hey yeah this phone is NICE but nothing special considering it is quite new they haven't done much too improve it from the blush!

The camera is only 2 megapixel which is quite rubbish considering most phones are coming with 3.2 now the memory is good as & external memory card can be added into the phone but the Sony Ericsson has a built in 8 GB memory! & coming soon is the new Nokia N96 with a 5 megapixel camera again & a 16GB internal memory!

This Samsung f210 is a really pathetic attempt of a new phone which just winds people up with the dodgy features. To turn on silent press & hold the hash key, to turn your text volumes etc up just go into sound settings & the only way to remove the MP3 player is to put your privacy lock on.

So for anyone looking at this phone I wouldn't bother.

The phone does exactly what it should, calls, music & great contacts options. With the earphones in on way to work I can answer calls without fuss.

I would like to know if anyone has managed to get around the problem of keeping saved sent messages, is there a reason why it won't save the messages. The MP3 memory is fantastic so I don't understand why no memory for sent mess. Any answer?

I got this phone for my birthday (in December) & I already want a new phone (it's now May) when my old phones (all Nokia) lasted me a year. The phone is GREAT for music & has a great built in memory. I find the buttons a little hard to use sometimes but I am used to it. I am looking forward to getting a new phone if I am honest.

The phone breaks a lot when people try to send me songs through Bluetooth but the phone sorts its self out also in the first few days I got it I took it to school & to my birthday party & dropped it loads some I don't recommend taking it out as soon as you get it & I think you need to get used to it first. Also the speaker on the phone isn't very loud which isn't very good as I like playing my music to my friends in large groups & they can't hear it unless they put it to their ears but at home by myself its quite loud but if you listen to it with your headphones (included with the phone) it's great.

Overall an OK phone, I was very excited about getting it but was a bit disappointed probably because I had such high hopes for it.

Just getting to know the phone, but so far it's excellent.

I notice that several people have put descriptions on how to stop the MP3 player, here is the way I did it.

Go to Settings, Security, Privacy Lock, Phone Privacy, Save (you'll need to create a password).

From then on, when you close the phone, there will no longer be an MP3 player, just your phone screen & a box to input the password. Downside is you'll have to input the password every time you open the phone.

The phone is not loud enough I hardly hear it & it only goes to 7 for ring volume. The message tones are a pain & you can't put your own on. & I can't use themes on it either. I have had this phone for quite a while now & I must say I am very impressed & it was definitely worth the money. The design is stylish & perfect for a lady's handbag, I don't think that it is much of a man's phone because of the design.

The battery life is pretty good but it runs down more if you use the earphones which you can use to hang around your neck to support the phone.

The only problem have had with this phone is that for some reason I can't hear on the other end when I make or answer a call. However this has just happened recently & it was fine before so it may just be one of the settings it's on. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please help.

Anyway apart from this problem I think that this phone is a reliable & great priced phone. You will be pleased with it!

Had this phone now for a month & really love it. It is so much easier to work if you READ the INSTRUCTIONS! LOL. I had a Motorola phone before this, text a lot & have to say it was a lot quicker to send a text with the Motorola. There are too many lists to go through before you can actually send a text with this one but its a small price to pay for such a lovely phone. The battery life isn't the best either but it does last a couple of days.

For all you girls out there, look at it this way, who wants sensible lace up shoes when you can buy glamorous high heels! This phone is just like the high heels, a little pain is worth it!

I do understand what everyone means about the MP3 player but it cuts off after a few seconds anyway when closed, I use the button on the side though. As for battery life mine lasts ages but then I use it mainly as a phone for answering & making calls! I have struggled to download wallpapers to it, not sure why though. As for the camera I agree with what someone said earlier, if you want to take photos use a proper camera! On the whole I would recommend it. Does anyone know how to hide the date & clock? Having had a chocolate & krzr this is by far the best of them. My dad had a Samsung d500 & it was brilliant & lasted ages, so I thought I needed 2 get a samsung. Having got my phone it has lived up 2 my expectations. The setup wizard is a really good idea, especially if you are not mobile literate. My only criticism is of samsung's in general & that is not being able 2 use mp3s as message tones. You can on Motorola's but not samsung's. But that is a general thing for the whole brand & this phone stands out as a real classic, especially as none of my friends have it.

P.S. The reason the battery's life is so short is you need 2 leave it 2 charge 4 at least 12 hours when you get it to make the battery fully functional. I have got a week out of my battery, & it is turned on most of the time.

To get rid of music player go into security in settings then number 5 privacy lock & then phone privacy you then type any password you like & the MP3 is gone. The only thing is when you want to use the phone you have to type in your password or the other option is when the phone is shut just lock it on the side the MP3 will still show but won't come on.

I got this phone today on an upgrade & I have to say I love it. I find the swivel a bit awkward to use at the moment one handed until you get used to having the phone the right way, LOL. I saw this phone when browsing in advance for my upgrade & really loved the design, after reading through all the reviews on here I decided to give it a go.

Regarding the negative points, if you want a groovy little phone that you use mainly for a phone, then this is perfect for you. I have tried the privacy lock bit to stop the MP3 player screen coming on but have found that more annoying to keep keying in a pin so have gone back to the MP3 screen, it's easier to swivel the phone & as long as you have the lock set on the side of the phone then the music doesn't play. The camera is fine when mastered, you have to keep steady until you hear the shutter sound otherwise you get a blurry pictures but when you remember this it takes a fine pictures. If you want an all singing all dancing pictures then get a camera!

My only niggles (can't really call them complaints) with this phone is the volume isn't very loud, especially for a music phone but I think this is because it is designed to be used with the headset so you don't need it that loud. You can't change the message tone to anything other than the 4 set in the phone & they are very basic & short, so I think it will be very easy to miss text. But on the plus side, you can set it to repeat the tone so you should pick it up eventually! Finally it is a bit long winded sending a text, you have a lot of buttons to click just to get it to send! LOL, but regarding it not saving the sent messages. Click save & send not send, simple as that.

The keypad is easy to use, but I do have little hands so maybe someone with big hands wouldn't get on with this phone. I found it very easy to pair with my laptop. Just download the software from the CD, then when it tells you to connect the USB lead do so, it will then show on your phone, pick PC studio & voila.

The other thing I read through the other reviews was you had to go through the whole menu to mute the phone? You just press & hold the hash key & your phone is muted. Simple.

Gucci little phone that is simple & easy to use. If you want all singing all dancing then do not get this phone but then the price reflects this.

My biggest complaint was Vodafone only do the metallic blue & as this was an upgrade I had no choice! I wanted the pink one, on a plus note it does go well with the mauve lilac colour screen. Big complaint to Vodafone for limited colour choice but NO complaints to Samsung for a Gucci little phone.

ATTENTION, DO NOT BUY! I recently wrote on here about my phone well a lot has happened since then. First of all when I uploaded some pictures from my computer to my phone they came on the screen with a question mark & I don't know why. Another thing is that I found out that you can't change the message tone to one of your own which was disappointing. Last of all the thing that hit my last nerve was when I went to get my phone from my pocket & I opened it to find that the inside screen had cracked. I was fuming the phone had only been in my pocket & this had happened.

I then took it back to phones for you where I had bought if from & they had the cheek to say that they couldn't give me my money back or replace the phone because it was my fault not theirs & they said it could have been caused by too much pressure on the screen & because it was an LCD screen. I just thought why on earth would they make a phone that had such a sensitive screen. What are people suppose to do carry it in their hand? I am advising people NOT TO BUY the SAMSUNG F210 it is rubbish.

Well if you are a music guy then this phone is definitely good & it has very good memory but for everything else I think this phone is rubbish anyways.

The phone is an OK phone apart from when you close the slide the MP3 player keeps appearing which can be very annoying. Is there any way to turn it off so that it doesn't appear?

The set out of the phone is awkward as it doesn't stay consistent as it changes I.e. When you switch the phone off it has a layout you have chosen but when you switch it back on it has changed back to the standard layout.

Other than that it's an alright phone.

I bought this phone for one reason. I wanted something small! However, after ordering I read some reviews both here & elsewhere & was horrified to learn that the display is a girly shade of pink. People have reported that you cannot change this.

However, after 5 minutes of playing, I was able to change the skin in the settings menu, & give it a much masculine manly feel. I thought I should mention this as I guess it could also be putting other guys off buying the phone.

I do find it slightly irritating that when you close the phone you see it come up with the MP3 player. I haven't been able to find a way to turn this off. However, I have just put the lock on, & as far as I am concerned I never need to touch or worry about the MP3 player.

I do like the scroll wheel, as I am used to the iPod. However, you don't have to use this feature you can just use the keypad. I haven't used it long enough to report on battery life, & whilst I bought the phone from O2, I was able to unlock it for just £5 at a local phone shop. I spent hours online trying to find a free way. Wish I hadn't bothered for £5.

I am really pleased with the phones design, it's small & flicks open very easily. Once you're used to using it, you can open the phone with a small flick of the thumb. I just hope that the spring action remains intact over time.

In short I love this phone.

This phone is really good! I wasn't sure at first whether to get one or not as I saw other phones I liked but now I am so glad I got it! The design is really cool! & it's super handy that you can hang it round your neck! The usage is really good too & the battery life stays full for ages! The only thing is when I took it to school & put it on silent it was on vibrate & I didn't realise how loud the noise of the vibrate was & I got in trouble by my teacher! , but there is a setting on silent where you can keep it as mute! This is my 4th phone this year & I am going to keep it for a very long time! If you're looking for a phone that is quite cheap brand new go onto the O2 where there is a f210 pay as you go at £99.99 whereas phones 4 you are £130.00 pay as you go! I hope this was helpful :D.

To the person moaning about having to go through the entire menu to put it on silent mode. You don't have to do that, just swivel open your phone & hold down # for 2 seconds & it goes onto silent mode. Simple!

That's all I really wanted to say as it bugged me, other than that, good phone!

Well I got this phone about a week after Christmas & after reading all the reviews on here I was really put off but decided to give it a go. I saw people had mentioned that the camera wasn't very good but when I have got it it was brilliant for me but I suppose people want it for other things to. As for the music & photo uploading thing I really don't know what people are going on about it's so simple every time I have put music & photos on they have worked straight away. I think the design could have been a bit more imaginative but I love that I chose purple. So overall this phone has got no more that 1 or 2 small problems but apart from that this phone is excellent!

This phone is pretty good, just a couple of things bother me.

The MP3 player coming on, so if you want to check whether you have signal or the time you have to swivel it up, but that's probably me just being lazy ha-ha, but you soon get used to it, & after all it is an MP3 player as well as a phone & the battery isn't too good. I charge mine every other day or every day & that can't be good for your battery.

Personally I think it's to do with the MP3 player being on even if you do have the lock on, but I find the volume buttons on the side are annoying for making the light too come on too run down with your battery, as when you press the buttons on the side the light comes on straight away, with the D500 you hold it down for the light too come on, I find that much better if you have the lock on.

But over the entire phone is pretty amazing, I love mine.

To stop the MP3 playing every time you close the phone use the keypad lock button on the side of the phone.

It locks the swivel key so it won't play the MP3 (although it does still show on the screen) but doesn't lock the inside keys so you can still use them OK when you open the phone. Saves messing about with passwords all the time.

I hope that helps!

So as the megapixels go up, the camera gets better, hope I solved your problem.

Also someone asked about how you can transfer messages, I think you can send them through Bluetooth, depends what mobile phone you got.

It's a great & easy to use phone, & to be frankly honesty, a phone is for getting hold of people, not to take pictures. So the fact that the camera isn't that great doesn't actually matter. My only complaints are the fact it holds little texts but you can alter that by each time you get a text go on to options & click move to sim. & as for the phone not saving your sent messages into your sent box you can click save & send, & opposed to just send.

The only problem I have with this phone is the battery life. I got it yesterday (even though I have been playing the games & listening to music) & I have already had to charge it because it went dead.

If you just use it as a phone, it should last 2 to 3 days & it only taking a couple of hours to charge so no real big problems there.

The only reason the battery life is poor because the MP3 player when it comes on every time you flip it down. Too stop this from happening.

- You use the privacy thing or switch the HOLD button on just before you flip it down. That way it saves the battery life!

This phone was bought for me a few days ago as an early Christmas present, & after having a few days to get to know it, I have a lot to say.

Right, for all those saying that this is the phone for them. Why?

It may look good & may be slim, but the pictures are tiny, the music player automatically comes on when you close it down, which is ever so annoying. Also as it is a Samsung, (as I am used to my old Ericsson w850i) the music doesn't even play loud. The swivel technique takes ages to get to the picture or song you want. The battery life is appalling! Maybe because the man in Phones4u didn't charge it long enough when he first showed me it, I couldn't tell you. All I know is that, after charging it all night last night, barely touching it today, I already have one bar battery.

Then you have the connecting it to the computer. After downloading all the software from the CD, the computer still doesn't recognise it, when you plug it in via the USB! So you can't download any of your music, pictures etc.

The privacy may be a good thing (for this go onto settings then security, then click on privacy lock & select the ones you want privacy on) but you get this on any Samsung phone.

Also there is no light on it, like the Ericsson, for when your out & about, & can't find something.

For someone's question about the purple colour. It does actually look a metallic purple not a blue or black, which is probably the only good thing about it.

On the whole, in my opinion, this phone looks good, but is just the same as any other Samsung, & is absolute awful & I intend to take it back & buy the latest Ericsson now.

Like a lot of people on here, I had the Samsung X830 & fell completely in love with it. After accidentally dropping it down the toilet, I've been without it for about 6 months, using an older model Samsung. I've been desperately trying to get a replacement X830 but found it rather hard to get hold of one. Then I saw the F210. What a fantastic little phone.

It has everything the X830 had to offer but improved on. By biggest complaint with the X830 was that the spinning control had a rubbery coating which just rubbed off & made the phone look worn & dirty. The F210 has improved on this & made it metal. Not only is it more practical but looks better too.

The menu is the same easy to use version of the X830, & I must say I was very impressed with the Set Up wizard at the beginning. What an easy way to change all your default settings.

For those of you who are wondering between the blue & black, I can't imagine there is much different. I have the blue version & you can hardly tell it's blue. But it does go very nicely with the lilac screen!

All in all it's a phone I would recommend, I love it.

This phone is not good! What does it do, nothing. It comes with one ringtone, & one message tone, you can't do simple things at the touch of a button like put it on silent without first going through the whole menu. If you can I haven't found it, so it's rubbish to navigate. Entering new numbers is a pain, but updating is easy, why? You can't just charge it up in your PC, oh no that's too easy. It first has to be fully installed blah, blah, that's handy while I am at work or something. Overall this phone is rubbish! I could go on all day about what I don't like, but it's not worth my time. I do like its size though, but that's all. This phone is so awful I am taking it back & am going to lie, & say it's broken so I can return it!

A girl I know has got the phone in purple but it doesn't look like purple to me. But maybe I am wrong. Could someone who has got the phone in purple tell me whether it looks purple because the girl might think that its purple but it's actually metallic blue. So please could someone tell me that.

Also is it available on Vodafone?

& finally do you think that this time next year the phone will be a bit out of fashion (I have the E900 now in gold & it is still quite in fashion but you never know). Please someone get back to me, thanks!

I really like the phone. I wanted a simple phone that plays music. In the past I have had Sony Ericsson p900, Nokia communicator, Vodafone 1605, can you see a pattern here? Yes I've had phones with all the bells & whistles & the p900 aside I've hated all of them because the phone app is rubbish, or they are slow, or they keep crashing. This phone may not be as sophisticated, but it certainly is simple to use & nice to use too.

Only problem is the really irritating chimes every time you click on a menu item. The only way I've found to turn it off is to put the phone in silent mode. Can anyone help on that?

Planning to get this phone but have a few questions about it I can't get answered by the people in the shops. I hope some owner can answer them?

- Is the battery the whole plastic back or is there a regular battery inside the back cover, can you confirm if AB043446LE is the battery part number?
- Can you insert photos for caller ID, does at least the name & number show before you open it up to answer?
- When closed the manual say there is an open folder & a closed folder icon on the player screen for using the player but none of the photos have them. So can you work the play lists as the manual says.

Just a thought on an earlier comment, I am left handed & always use my right hand to answer a phone because I am usually looking for a pen with my left hand. I would say it is an ideal phone for a left handed person.

It is so obviously designed for right-handers & as such immediately eliminates a huge slice of the potential market! Would it have been so difficult to design it so that it would twist open either way to suit right OR lef-handers?

Got the Samsung F210 as a replacement for my aging Ericsson T39m. Carphone Warehouse only had metallic blue in stock, although I wanted black, it might as well be black, as it has the barest hint of a very dark metallic blue to it in bright light.

I had wanted a clamshell phone so that I didn't have to lock/unlock the keypad, but getting hold of a replacement Sony Ericsson Clamshell at the moment (Nov 07), with the features I wanted has proven to be next to impossible.

I had dismissed this Samsung swivel phone as an alternative, just assuming that it would be too awkward to open/close. However after trying it at a shop, its one-handed spring-loaded opening action is really slick.

It's a well constructed little phone, which feel's really solid. Key pad button size & layout is also very good despite its tiny size. Menus are intuitive. I might use the camera & music player occasionally, but that's not why I got the phone. I selected it for its small size, the ability to protect the keypad & terminate calls by just swiveling it shut.

Like other's I find the music player coming on when you close the phone as slightly confusing, with no ability to permanently turn this feature off, I think that's a design mistake & could put many people off the phone. I also think the ring-tone sound level is very quiet compared to my T39m, I doubt it's going to wake me up in the middle of the night, or that I would hear it when watching a film at home. The life of the battery seems fine to me - despite its tiny size, but then I've been used to charging my T39m every night.

It's paired with a Jabra BT2020 headset, & with a Parrot 3000 Evolution Car Kit, & works seamlessly with both. Although beware, the F210 doesn't seem to support the Voice Recognition features of the Parrot 3000 Evo. It can't even redial the last number called. However basic answering & hanging-up is seamless.

The phone comes with a USB lead & Samsung PC software which is very good, I was able to clean up & update my phone book in a few minutes, & download it all to the phone in seconds.

In summary I like it, & it seems so does everybody who as seen it so far.

I used this website to research the feedback on the latest mobile phones to replace my old Siemens A65. Therefore it is only fair that I report back on my purchase, Samsung F210.

I think that had I needed to receive emails on my mobile, then I would have gone for the Blackberry 8100v (Pearl), however, as I only use the mobile for calls & texting, the F210 is great. I considered the Nokia 3109 (liking its robustness & no nonsense phone design) but after looking at it (essential) decided that it was too boring & unnecessarily big. I have had the F210 for a week & am pleased, my first Samsung & no surprises. I am struggling a bit with T9 texting but I am sure this is because I am used to the different Siemens ways.

Positives

- Its small wow factor small.
- It is well designed & seems robust.
- I like the swing around screen & receives calls with an opening flourish.
- Small phone or screen, it works OK. Keys are fine, screen is fine, however the time & battery strength & signal strength are just barely OK (i.e. they are almost too small to see).
- I like the big (1 GB) memory card that came with it, why can't one save all contacts to this card to make switching phones easier?

Negatives

-Battery life isn't a strength. I don't use my phone much & today the battery is 1/3 empty after charging all night the night before last. It's OK. If I used it a lot, there might be a problem.
- Slight niggle, the screen powers down very quickly, I am sure to conserve battery life, but it is a bit too quick.
- Contact list, the number of characters for the 'name' is too limited. You are almost limited to first names & an initial or a nick name. Also, the contact list isn't very clear (a slight weakness).
- The music player taking over the screen on closing is irritating if you let it bother you (the kids love it). I didn't find that either of the suggested solutions in this list was satisfactory, so I have just left it.
- The camera is nothing special.

If you do know of an easy way to get rid of it once & for all, not some procedure that I have to perform after each call (life is too short), I would be grateful to learn about it. All in all, a nice little non 3G (I don't use any of the 3G services) phone. Would I buy it again if I dropped this phone down a hole? Yes, it's fun.

Yes it worried me too at first about the MP3 player being left on, but to eliminate accidental play, all you have to do is switch on the lock key on the side of the phone until you wish to play music. Charged phone up on the day we got it & it is still holding good 3 days later. I took the decision to change my Samsung d500 to an e900 which was the worst move I ever did, as my wife had taken my old Samsung. But she now has the up-to-date phone & I will upgrade to a newer model in January. Samsung have done well with this phone.

The MP3 player really bugged me, & Orange thought it may have been a fault, but after they spoke to Samsung it turns out it is supposed to stay there as the phone is designed as an MP3 player as well. Who needs a loud speaker when the phones loud enough.

The camera could be better, I have gone from a 3.2 mega pixel camera to a 2 mega pixel camera & you can really see the difference. It didn't take long to figure out & as far as I can see this phone is pretty tough, just what I need when my niece loves to chew on my mobiles LOL.

Like lots of people on here I get really annoyed that when I close my phone the MP3 player comes on the screen automatically - although no music plays. My biggest niggles are the fact the camera isn't very good at all (which it should be at 2mpxls), there's no flash & there is no loudspeaker button! I make a lot of calls on loudspeaker. Otherwise very cute girly phone.

Great phone. I love it =D. Screen is small but I don't mind that as it is still very clear & writing isn't too small.

Camera is good & memory is awesome. I have downloaded quite a lot & have loads of space left & I don't even have a memory card!

The features are pretty standard & unfortunately don't bother me that much. I knew what features it had before getting it so I am not disappointed.

The MP3 player function does appear when swivel is closed but doesn't automatically play which is good but if anyone does know how to stop the MP3 player screen coming on please let me know.

I did have the x830 a little while ago & the F210 is so much better it isn't as flimsy & the F210 looks so much better.

I would defiantly recommend this phone but would just say do some research first so you know exactly what your getting :).

Great phone very cool with lots of great features as has been noted when you close the phone the media player screen comes up (although it isn't actually playing).I have found that if you put a lock on the phone when you close it, it holds the wallpaper/time screen. The main problem with the f210 is not the phone, which is great but, the software to connect to PC & store files, found this a real pain to get working.

You are all going to just love me. Found out how to get your music player to disappear when you close your phone. You need to go on phone settings go into security, select option 5 privacy lock & select phone privacy & select a password ta noo.

Bought this phone a few days ago on the O2 network. This phone feels comfortable in the hand. It is easy to input your contacts in the phone & text messaging. I had the same problem of once the swivel opens the MP3 player starts.

What I have done to minimise the problem is to: Open the swivel & put the HOLD LOCK On. Close the swivel & the MP3 does not play any music until the HOLD Lock button is turn off. I hope this helps.

Otherwise is the phone is lightweight & easy go into pocket or small bag without feeling heavy & the call quality is excellent.

The only thing I am worried about is the screen size, I was going to get the Samsung blush but the screen is tiny. Is this screen much bigger? Where can I get it pay as you go in pink? I can only find the Samsung F210 pink in contract phones, which is annoying because contracts are too expensive for me.

Great, neat & user friendly phone. The MP3 option comes on once closed, but doesn't automatically play, despite earlier comments! I love it! Cost £139 from phones for you, with £10 credit. You're best going for O2 if you want to keep to Orange as they don't sell Orange handsets in phones for you on this model, but O2 allows you to insert any sim! Mega memory also, just uploaded over a 100 tunes, & still have loads of memory left! Treat yourself, its well worth it. Oh yeah, if you get a free memory card with it, don't think it's the wrong one like I did, its hidden in a huge memory card, you just need to pull it out!

What a pile of rubbish, looks good but just doesn't cut it.

If anybody knows how to stop the music player from kicking in every time you shut the swivel please let others know. The music player kicks in all the time & kills the battery. Then just before the battery is dead the music player turns off. Nice :(.

Very nice phone to hold feels much more robust than the X830 which looks & feels cheap. I am very happy with this new toy only thing I don't like is when you close the swivel the music screen comes on & can't be switched to the phone screen on the X830 when you closed the swivel you had your phone screen. You could then turn on the MP3 player screen. Just means you have to open the swivel to see who texted or check the time. Battery life is much the same as the X830 pretty good. Got mine from phones for you for £129, OK price.
