You can access your ringtones by going to settings, sound setting, incoming calls, then click on ringtones, music or default comes up, click default for (default ringtones) or (music) for your own music that you may have on memory card or MP3. Good luck in finding them.

The touch screen took a lot of getting used to, as like everyone else, when in the middle of a text, it would wipe the whole message but I have had this phone for over 18 months & that no longer happens.

I love the fact that it is small & slick, so I can slip it in pockets without worrying about it poking out or being bulky & I have dropped it on wood flooring, pavements & it still works perfectly.

I am now moving on to the Samsung Soul, purely a need for change, but I have been very happy with this phone, it has certainly fulfilled my requirements.

For those having trouble changing ringtones, if you go into settings then sound settings then incoming calls. Highlight ringtone & press the square silver button in the middle of the touch screen it will bring up a menu. You need to choose default ringtones. Hope that helps.

Nothing wrong with this phone.

I have had this phone for 18 months & have bought a few phones to try. The Samsung E900 may be basic, but it's good & for me reliable.

I would not go back to Nokia at all.

I have had this phone now for nearly a year now & I've never really had any problems with it.

The phone has a modern & stylish design with a smooth slide up mechanism & it also has a high resolution screen so images & videos are very clear. The E900 also has reasonably sized buttons so it is a very easy phone to text on but if you send a text accidently then you cannot press cancel ( trust me I've tried ).

If you are looking for a phone that is stylish & easy to use then you should definitely buy the Samsung E900.

But one other thing when using the phone the touch pad may take a bit of getting used to as I always exit things by mistake but now I am okay don't do it as much but apart from that this phone is very worthwhile getting.

This is an absolute rubbish phone when you go on the wap it is really small when you send a text you accidentally delete half of it same with the games. It is not very sturdy it wobbles when it is open. I've had to get it repaired 5 times. Twice as it wouldn't charge. Once as the screen wasn't working & overtime time when the touchscreen stopped working

Samsung I DID believe in you but now I don't!

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE WHATEVER YOU DO!

This phone is the best phone I have ever had! It's indestructible, it fell out of my pocket while I was in the biggest horse on our yard stable & he stood on it & it still worked I just needed to get the screen replaced! As I did not have insurance this cost me £50 but was well worth it as my phone is still working after that 10 months on! Coming up to the end of my contract & finding it hard to find a phone which matches up to the high standards I've learned to expect from having this phone.

It's now time for me to upgrade & I can't see any other phone out there that is as good as this, the touch screen is great because once you get used to it it's like any other phone, also it stops other people looking at it because they get put off from using the touch buttons ;).

I have had this phone for just over a year now. It's broken so only the touch screen works. The touch screen is very annoying. It's hard not to keep accidently pressing back & while writing a text if you do it, it will ask if you want to save it to drafts & there's no way to cancel it.

Would NOT recommend you would buy it.

The U700 or the D900 would be better Samsung choices.

WHEN I AM TRYING TO TEXT SOMETIMES the WHOLE THING GOES OFF & I HAVE TO START ALL OVER & SOMETIMES WHEN I AM TRYING the Bluetooth OR SOMETHING THEN IT AUTOMATICALLY GOES OFF. IT ALSO CALLS PEOPLE EVEN IF you DON'T PRESS the CALL BUTTON. IT HAS LESS STORAGE IN the PHONE BUT ITS QUITE ALRIGHT.

Great phone, had it over a year now & it still works fine.

The phone is basically invincible, you can drop it from a second storey window & it still works perfectly. Touch keys are great IMO once you get used to them (which took me about 10 minutes).

Only 2 bad points I've found on this phone is there is no Radio & No songs for your alarm, but hey, I use my iPod dock for my alarm =).

Great Phone. Highly recommend Buying This, Mike.

I was happy with this phone for the first few days.

However the camera isn't great, the MP3 isn't loud enough & the touch screen buttons are highly annoying when you accidently touch them when it comes to a text. Certain buttons on my phone have now stopped working completely I.e. The volume up button & I haven't even had it a year. As I treat my phone with great care I am extremely disappointed. I've had this phone for about six months now, I've had no real problems with it except because of the touch sensitive bit on the front I've accidently dialled the first person in my phone book hundreds of times. Also, I've dropped it once or twice & the back & battery always fall out but that's just being picky really.

Nice phone that hasn't let me down.

I have had the E900 for a while now & I don't like it at all. It was OK at first but then it has just gone downhill badly! I love the design of it but it is so slow! Not only in the opening of files but in the sending & receiving of Bluetooth. & my Bluetooth only seems to work to other Samsung mobiles. It has a rubbish internal memory & when you insert a memory card it slows your phone down a lot.

Overall I am very disappointed with this phone. It may just be me but I wouldn't recommend it.

Love it! I needed to get used to the touch sensitive buttons but after a week. It was a breeze! I have had it since December 2006 & I have had no problems with it.

It's looks fabulous & is really clear & easy to use. It allows me to send & receive messages music, videos & pictures with no problems at all.

I have dropped it so many times & it still works & nothing has cracked, chipped or broken.

One bad point would be that the buttons don't work with gloves on. But then I didn't really expect that as they're heat sensitive & it can be worked around so you don't have to take your gloves off every time you use it!

I ordered this phone may last year off an Internet website for this due to the fact that the colour is known as pink. This may be a little tedious but it could be misleading.

The features at first seemed impressive & think the camera is quite good for a phone, but after a few drops turned the pictures a little blurry. The MP3 on this phone does not hold many songs but I brought a memory card, so this was not an issue, although the MP3 is not that loud. The games are very good on the phone as are the personalisations. Menus etc very pretty.

The most annoying thing however has to be the touch sensitive keys. I personally at first thought they made the phone very flashy & posh & loved the idea, & did end up getting used to them, but annoyingly (I don't know if this applies to everybody) when you press the middle button by accident, it automatically connects to the Internet resulting it the payer (me) getting charger a lot, as this happened frequently throughout the day, as did when I was writing a long text catching a touch sensitive key & deleting the hole message & sending me back to the wallpaper.

On the upside you can connect the phone to the computer but I found this a very big hassle to download the software. I got this phone stole yesterday & am looking at buying the Sony Ericsson cyber shot k800 or Sony Ericsson w810i which one is most recommendable?

Overall the Samsung e900 is a good looking phone but fiddly to use, with a fairly good camera & limited MP3.

To sum things up quickly this phone is great to look at, has a OK camera, the MP3 is good & the slide & menus are easy to navigate around.

The thing that's really lets the phone down are the sensitive pads around the menu buttons. As I am a guy with big fingers it's so easy to accidently rub over the sensitive back button when you're halfway using a feature which obviously sends you back to the wallpaper.

If it hadn't got sensitive keys it given the usability score 90%.

I think this phone looks nice especially the pink colour, the features are pretty average except for the fact that this phone is touch sensitive which was quiet annoying at the beginning but when you get used to it it's not so bad. & the camera quality is really rubbish. But I like the fact that to choose options to get to another feature you can type in a number to get you there. Which is easy. I had the w810i before the E900 & I would defiantly recommend the Sony Ericsson's phones rather than the Samsung phones. I am getting an upgrade now on the w890i because I'd rather have a Sony Ericsson phone. But in general this phone is OK.

It's a great little phone for everyday use, I've had it for about 18 months now & never had one problem, & it's been run over, dropped & danced on & generally abused, but still works perfectly. Everyone is making a big fuss of how annoying the touch buttons are, but seriously, after about a week of getting used to it & learning how to brush them instead of hitting them like a real button, I have never noticed them as any different. Unless you are particularly heavy handed it becomes quick & easy to do anything.

The camera is fine, when I got it 2MP was fantastic but that's been surpassed now, but either way it is fine for general daytime snapping, but as someone said, pictures can blur very easily.

One downside to the whole phone, the default alarm. It's so annoying I want to hang myself first thing in the morning. Not a good way to start the day ha ha.

It's a great little phone for calls & text, & the odd photo, & they are dead cheap anywhere you look, so I highly recommend it.

This phone is a good looking phone & I don't have many problems with it but what gets me is that the touch screen won't work if your using gloves & when your charging it the screen stays on & gets warm (does this happen to yours or is it just mine) but overall it's a great phone well worth the money.

Well I have had this phone for a year now & I have to say honestly that I hate it. When I first saw this I thought yeah nice phone so got one. The touch keypad is a nightmare, the slightest touch & you end up back at your wallpaper that drives me nuts. The slide itself is fine, no probs. The keypad started off OK but now the buttons have to b pressed half a dozen times to get a letter up when sending a text. I found the paint comes off the front really easy to instead of being pink it's not. Overall for Samsung this is rubbish. I had a Nokia 6230 before this an I think will stick with a Nokia for my next phone.

Hey, I just got this phone & I am finding it pretty easy to get use to apart from when your use another phone that isn't touch screen. All my life I have had Samsungs but I think this is one of the best but one disadvantage is when your Bluetooth is in use you can't use your music player, whereas on a Samsung D600 you can also on the alarm you cannot have your own music to awake you, you have to have the defaulted songs.

I had this phone for Valentine's day last year & despite me getting rid of it 6 months later, I wish I had of kept it. I had 3 of these phones, all of which broke or went dodgy in one way or another. Apparntly, these models were always being returned as the software had flaws in it. I had the last one repaired & afterwards it worked perfectly, although I gave it to my mum because at that point my experience with this phone was soured & had bought a new one. I found the touch keys fine, once you take the time to get used to them. The screen was bright & I have had great difficulty in trying to find a 2MP camera in another phone to match the quality of the photos the e900 produced. I have a ted baker phone now & the camera is nothing in comparison to the e900. As for the photos blurring, I found that it never happened. The graphics on the phone were nice & bright & it had lot of storage, with room for an sd card. The only thing I would say about it is that the phone was slow to load pictures & stuff, but the software update sorted it out. & the themes on it could have been a bit more imaginative. But apart from that, I don't think you could find a better camera on a phone for the same price. If you are thinking of buying it, I would! Just not off eBay in case anything did go wrong.

I have had this phone for about 2 months I have had no problems so far apart from if you pin lock it. It is hard to figure out the PUK code so I suggest you don't put a pin lock on there is also quite a lot of memory there is also a memory card slot so there is expandable memory. The buttons are quite sensitive but when you ring or pick up your phone to talk to someone they aren't available so there are no problems about hanging up on someone accidently.

The Samsung e900 is a really good phone so I would recommend it to anyone!

I have always loved Samsung. They do make some of the best & easiest phones to use.

& this one in particular I love. But I am bored with it. The design I think could have been better. It's a bit too fidgety to work with. The slide function I don't like on this particular mobile. On others I have had, not a problem, but this is a bit. Well, clunky.

My other concerns are what others have said & it goes on the camera. Yes, when you take a photo. You have to take it of a wax work because one slight movement & the whole picture are ruined. The other thing is the fact that it takes in too much light & makes all photos far too bright.

The touch screen is annoying sometimes but it does take patience & time to get used to.

The touch sensitive feature over rides EVERYTHING to the point of silliness. Spend two minutes composing a text? Get five minutes into your favourite game? No problem! Just accidentally brush against the touch sensitive panel & hey presto! Everything is gone.

Usability, well the touch buttons obviously are very sensitive but I suppose you get used to it because well you get used to it after a while & well you buy the phone knowing about the touch buttons so don't complain about it because you know what you got into hah.

I have had the phone for like half a year now. Here are the good points.
- Large screen.
- Battery lasts quite long.
- Vivid view of messages meaning certain words are displayed as symbols which is cool.

Bad points (more than good).
- Touch is too sensitive!
- Cannot be sued when you are wearing gloves which is all of winter!
- Camera is too sensitive with movement meaning if you breath when using it then it goes blurry!
- Cannot receive images from mobiles with a better camera but other makes with a 2 megapixel camera.
- Does not give enough settings to fully customize the phone.
- Does not save sent messages unless you tell it to which I didn't know until I looked it up on the Internet.

Do not buy unless you are on a budget & want a reasonable phone for 60 quid!

Good points,
- Looks nice.
- Plays music pretty well.
- Has a good light to use as a torch.
- Good UI.
- Small & compact.

Bad Points,
- the screen stays lit when it's on charge & it cannot be turned off. For the first few days it's very annoying but there is an effective solution, turn it on its front at night!
- Texting is OK but the phone doesn't store sent messages automatically. When you send a message you need to click 'send & save' as opposed to just send. It does store some messages automatically but not all. It's kind of hit & miss with that one. The phone can only hold 190 messages.
- Talking, the screen stays lit when you're talking so it does feel a bit hot against the ear after 2 hours on the phone.
- Ringtones, I never use them but you can't automatically store ringtones which are songs on your phone.

This Phone Is Overall Very Good.

The Downsides Are the Touchscreen Buttons, Which Are Very Sensitive. Once You Get Use To Them, They're OK But When Your Finger Slips They Can Be Very Annoying. The Camera Was OK When I Bought It But Has Gone Downhill From There & Is Now Very Blurry.

The Flash Is Good As A Torch, But Makes No Difference When Taking Photos. The Music Player Is Good.

The Major Up Side To This Phone Is That It's Basically Indestructible. Mines Been Dropped In the Bath, Had Chewing Gum Melted In It & Has Been Dropped More Times Than I Can Count & Still Works Fine, Even If It Does Have the Odd Scratch. The Battery Was Very Good For the First Few Months, But Now Runs Out Quite Quickly.

Without A Memory Card the Phone Holds Quite A Few Songs, Photos & Videos.

Overall This Phone Is Just Above Average, I Would recommend It To You If You Are Looking For A General Phone For Everyday Use, But Wouldn't recommend It If You Are Looking For Something Special.

This is a great looking phone & good value for money. I got mine for about 40/50 pounds. I got it as a replacement for my e370 which after a spin in the wash was unusable. Any way as I said it look great & is good value for money. With the rage about the touch sensitive screen it is completely untrue, yes it takes a bit of getting use to but after that it's fine. A few problems though. Even so much as accidentally touch the screen & your calling someone (normally the person at the top of your phone book) & move the screen an inch when taking a photo & you end up with a picture of a big blur. It also gets dirty quite easily & it really gets on my nerves that you can't end a call without sliding the phone down. But overall it is a good phone for a first by or if you need a phone but don't have much money, but now I do I am thinking of changing to the LG viewty with a much better camera.
