I have had this phone for nearly 5 years! Its the best phone I have ever had. Its fallen on concrete, swam in water, & so on & so forth. At the moment due to the reason that its started to freeze on me, I am on a search for another E370. I have come into contact with the latest models. But they are all just rubbish! So I am going to stick to this model for as long as possible! :D.

OK let's face it. It's not expensive mobile phone so don't compare it to fancy mobile phones. First of all almost all the functionalities come with the phone are all working just great (Nokia pack it phones with have cooked applications). The design is very cool, the slider quality is awesome & durable, its only 85g which you will forget in your pocket till it buzzes with a new call or SMS. It's very responsive. I sold my Nokia 5800 Music Express to return back to my old friend E370. Do you think I am crazy? No, 5800 is a fat mobile with features. But none of them are working fine. It's huge, bulky, unresponsive. Event the basic things in it are horrible such as answering a call or sending SMS.
E370 most known downside is the limited memory, about 35MB. But believe me you can live with it. If you use AMR for audio books & pod casts. & rip you MP3 in 64kb & you will get over it. The battery life is limited as well. But the thing that really annoyed me that you can't connect to the computer to sync or backup the contacts via Bluetooth. & you must use the cable which doesn't come with the package & you must but it separately.
All in all it's the best mobile phone I used. & I will go today to buy new battery because I am planning to extend it working life as long I could.
Thanks Samsung for this little monster :).

I have had this phone for about 2 & a half years & it is great. Sometimes it freezes, but overall it is very sturdy! My phone has fallen in the sink, it has been thrown at a wall & has been dropped several times, but it is still going (: I would recommend it to anyone who's quite clumsy! However, the memory isn't great but apart from this, it makes a good sturdy phone!

I have had my trusty phone since July 2007 & now we are approaching 2009 & it's still in good nick, to be fair this is the only phone I have ever had that has survived under my clutches for so long LOL!
I think it does the job but I am not completely satisfied with my phone because of the following.
- The battery life isn't very good.
- The memory capacity in general is VERY low I am lucky if I can store 5 full length MP3s even though it states 8 can be stored.
- The recording facility is an issue, in the daytime I can record & the video plays back in real time without any discrepancies with the sound & footage playing in sync. At night for some reason the recording is absolutely dire it's like it has slowed down completely & won't record in good quality at all, I don't know if this has been the case with anyone else but it is very annoying.
- Message tone issue.
- I would have liked to set my MP3 ringtone as a text alert tone but it isn't possible on this phone gutted!
Overall the phone does what it says on the tin however if this phone could be bettered in terms of what I have stated above then I would be very happy with it.

I have had this phone for 2 years & have just had to buy a new phone as my E370 has died. I have been & bought a new phone & couldn't get on with that so, I took it back & exchanged it for another phone, I couldn't get on with that either so, I have just come on line & reordered my old faithful again, so I will be able to carry on with my new phone the E370 & not have to worry about getting used to all the new layouts. E370 this phone is simplicity at its best.

Well this phone is OK, but it's not that great & not really a fashionable phone to have. Ment to have a MP3 player? This phone can only hold around 7 songs! Screen cracks really easily. Camera quite blurry not sharp.

Great phone I have the red one. I also have a new E900 & don't like this because it is too sensitive. I am of the older generation so don't download or listen to music on my phone so it suits me great. It is easy to use & the screen is just as good as the E900. Unfortunately good better than the E900.
I had a pink E370 but it got very tatty & my husband bought me the E900 but then I went & bought another E370.
The only drawback is the battery life is very poor & is always running out as I keep it on constantly.

It would be a fantastic phone if it was not for three things.
Firstly, it's useless as a MP3 player due to its micro small memory.
Secondly, the sound distorts & sounds rubbish unless you turn the volume right down.
Thirdly, the battery life is rubbish. This is not a bad phone but it could have been a whole lot better, it would not have cost a lot for Samsung to add a micro SD slot. Do I regret buying it 50 out of 50.

This is a great phone. The looks are good, it has a lot of things you can do on it & is basically unbreakable. I have dropped this phone honestly about 10 times & it hasn't broken!
The only disadvantage is there is no slot for a memory card & you can only put on around 8 songs but I put on really long songs so you should probably get more.

To Sonja, erm, you can have a vibration & sound on at the same time actually. You just go to sound settings, then ringtone & it lets you change it.
I've had this phone for about a year & it's a decent phone. I was disappointed with the memory though, so if you want to listen to loads of songs, then it's not for you.
It's nice & small though, which is a plus & it's generally a good phone.

My friends can fit much more songs on than me & I wish I could fit lots of music on. The one thing I am unsure about is how to transfer files (music, images etc) from my Samsung E370 onto my laptop & vice versa. Does anyone know? I've had Samsung E370 for about year now, but now I've realised that this phone was a huge disappointment. Sometimes it gets stuck, & then I have to remove the battery & restart it again.
E370 has too little memory, & it is bad because it doesn't have memory card thing. Then, I never notice my phone ringing, because it doesn't have feature that has vibration & sound same time.
Small size is good for some youngsters, but not for big handed adults. I wouldn't buy this. & please, forgive my bad English :).

I had this phone in red & I loved the design. However after a few weeks it started having problems with recording video. It would record but it would playback slow & jerky with the sound totally out of sync (played like this even after transferring to laptop). Also the signal quality when totally rubbish, nonexistent most of the time no matter what network I tried (when using my Sony Ericsson signal was full so it wasn't to do with coverage). I sent it to get repaired (free) & when I got it back about 9 days later they said they had replaced camera & antenna, doubt it. Camera & signal were as bad as before & they had somehow broken the loud speaker so wasn't getting any sound at all. Had to send it back again & they had it for 3 months! After much complaining to Samsung management I got a full refund.
Message tones dull & bland, memory useless. The only good things about this phone were, it looked nice & the ring tones were really loud (until repair centre broke it). I would not recommend Samsung at all I'll stick with Sony Ericsson you get a better signal than any Samsung & the battery life is 80% better too. AVOID!

Not a bad phone but often given high-resolution aren't that amazing, ets be straight about it, its just a second version of the e350, I had an a800, then an e350 then the e370, what do they all have in common apart from being Samsungs? control pad & software problems, software had errors on the a800 meaning the menus never led you to an area you had selected, I.e. Click on text messages & end up in the calendar, then the e350, front directional control pad stopped working button by button rendering the phone useless, same happened with my e370 after 3 weeks from brand new, on & off button is faulty an turns its self on & off as & when it feels like it, id get it repaired but I am on a tight budget as it is & we all know how tight fisted Samsung are & seem to worm out of having to repair it for free. Id rather buy another make for more money then waste another £50 + on this, I work at currys too so before anyone gets any ideas about me just going off on one I can say we have problems with Samsung televisions to, people aren't bothered as they care mostly about cosmetic appearance, like a footballers wife. The Samsungs are pleasing on the eye but fail on internal areas.

(WHY? ) & even more annoying that that why can't you view text messages you have sent? What's the point in having a sentbox if nothing that gets sent gets saved in there!

It is a wonderful phone & I am about to buy another one for my daughter. Can I download the PC suite so that I can upload my pictures to my PC? I have a cable which someone gave to me.

This phone is packed with features & for £49 brand new, I can't complain. It's very small & funky & makes everyone else's look like a HUGE BRICK! LOL! Usability is excellent, speakerphone (once you know how to work it) is LOUD, camera is fine at 1.3MP (who cares but is OK for emergency photos, for proper photos I use a digital camera). I don't use the memory for MP3's as I use an iPod for that. It's a great phone but I recommend getting a crystal case/cover for it to prevent it being scratched etc. To date whenever I use it people are very surprised at the features in a small phone. Only issue I have is that I can't change the speed dial list which appears to have been fixed by O2, unless someone knows how to get rid of this? No one will beat a phone with that many features at that price. Go ahead buy it (in black.

This phone is terribly grand. I would like to say on behalf of my phone company that this phone was sold out within two weeks, this just goes to show that this phone is an extraordinary piece of artwork. Whoever was the founder of this beauty should be rewarded for there outstanding creative skills. I just hope that whoever buys this mobile treats it with kindness & respect.
It's a jolly little phone & my daughter has one which was one of the last mobiles I believe in my area. She is delightful with her mobile, when I gave it to her she was shocked as it was her first slide up mobile phone. The first mobile she had got given by me & my husband Frank was a brick mobile which she had to have until she was older. I was moaned at for days, she complained that because I have my own phone shop she should get the latest but I said that I never got a mobile when I was her age, so it wasn't fair on me.
I hope that these reviews are reviewed with kindness & gratitude as I am a very kind & confident mother of two who love mobiles, I do think that mobiles are good in a way but then again I have realised that my husband has become brainwashed into having one. I of course have a mobile but I hardly use it as I do not really know how to work it. At my work I am on a computer a lot, well enough about me, my husbands is calling me now so I better be off, I am a bit naughty because I am at work I should be with a customer. OK Tally Ho, off I will now go. With love & passion, Mrs. Edwards, also I am writing on behalf of my husband so Mr. Edwards also included.

I think that this mobile is great! Only bad point is that the memory isn't that great because if you want lots of songs you have to delete things. I can only have a few songs maybe 6 or 7 & that's good but it's just annoying when it says delete as it's out of memory. I love the black, pink mobile it's very good looking. It's a girly phone which is great.
Seeing as I go out a lot I love using it as many people look over my shoulder at the amazing E370 mobile, maybe wishing it was theirs LOL. OK I give this 8 / 10. Which is good, this phone is good as a messing around mobile for a teenager or even for an adult because its small, cheap & great value for money.

I bought this phone nearly a year ago. For the first week I had a small line going through the camera but this soon fixed it's self & I have had no 'lines' since then. I have had no initial problems with the phone at all. I must admit it has been dropped many times but still no faults as of yet. It also holds very small features such as passwords to protect images or messages etc if you want to keep them private or you can allocate which folders you want to allocate to the main screen menu (Ideal for personal use).
Memory is quite limited if you are uploading MP3 songs onto the phone, but that's not the end of the world as other features make up for it. Also comes with supplied headphones, ideal for short bus journeys etc. Was a great phone when it was main stream technology. Battery life is still quite good a year on. Only has to be charged ever 2-3 nights if being used a lot but it can last up for 5 days with limited use. I would recommend to those buying it. It has served me well.
I am currently looking to upgrade to a similar Samsung Slide phone purely for its simplicity & the fact it is easy to use.

I have had this phone for more than a year, I have to say that it is a very solid phone, as in it doesn't destruct easily. The phone is very light weight which is a good thing, although it is very hard to hear your phone when it's ringing or vibrating if your in a noisy place, that's a down fall for this beautiful Samsung, but this phone does have a lot of bass. The memory is NOT great & you can't even get a memory card for this model. I have about ten songs on my phone which gets a bit boring.
The features on the camera are very good & unlike no other phone I have had the only down fall is that you can't add text to the pictures. The design is pretty basic but I think it's a good thing because it makes the phone very easy to use.
Hopefully I upgrade to the Samsung U600 I think that phone is a beauty.

I think the e370 is quite a good phone the only thing is the Internet services because of the prices to use the net. Plus with the e370 you only have one java game when you buy the phone they should include more games instead of us people paying like £5.00 for a game & that's without the charge for going on the Internet to get the game. I would rate the e370 a 7 out of 10 as I have got one.

It was love at first sight indeed. Though there is some hitch; to start off, d phone package I bought included wrong CD software (reason why I couldn't connect my phone to PC, which I only knew of course after I took d phone to the service center). & then the battery life, d major drawback. I have to charge it for 2+ hours with d travel charger & 4+ hours in PC! & it would only last for 3-4 days.
Otherwise, excellent slide up design, nimble. Just d way I would want in a phone. I don't have many qualms on its features, I.e. Limited photos, music because its price seems reasonable for me. But d audio quality is very good, same with 1.3 mp camera. Hope I could use it for years LOL!

Although all three were bought from Orange at the same time, my own e370 is generic (unlocked & without Orange software), the second one is a little slow & the third one, the Pink one, half the screen went white after three weeks.
These three phones are among the best phones I've had & being a business owner, I have had & still do have a lot of phones!

However I went to take it out of my pocket about two weeks ago to find the LCD screen had smashed from the inside. Now the phone had no damage on it whatsoever & I am 100% sure I did not drop or damage it in anyway, in actual fact I was being more careful with it than I am with most things because I liked it so much. Anyway, Orange & Samsung want nothing to do with it. No replacement or repair even though I have all the manuals receipts & everything. So I am not very happy with it. I paid around £100 for two months worth of phone. Very disappointing. After a little research on the net, I have found that this has happened to quite a lot of people.
I really liked it as well & I miss it - will be buying another phone soon, from a different manufacturer such as Sony Ericsson.

Hi it's me again, to all the people who want to know if this has speaker phone, I just found out, it does. When you phone someone, when it connects press the silver I button & it will say speakerphone on? then click yes! My friend showed me this as she got the d600 & it is the same for that. It is a really great phone.

I haven't had it a really long time but it is the best phone I have had. I got the pink version & the sliding works perfectly. The only features I think that it needs is infra-red if you want to transfer pictures from a phone without Bluetooth & I think it should have a memory card slot, but I can live without them. It also can turn on easily when not open & doesn't ring & vibrate at the same time. Other than that, it is very good value & looks great.

Its a good phone, it can hold around 9-10 songs the photo quality is good but gets worse as you use up more memory, it has 40 mb internal memory. Its easy to use & good value 4 money.

I got this phone primarily because I have never had a Samsung before (Previous phones have been Nokia & Motorola). It was a red one too.
At first I liked the phone because of its size & features - music player, 1.2 mp camera & video recording.
After using it for a few days I started to dislike it because I found it just a bit too small for me. The camera worked well, the music player worked well, but it only has 40MB of memory, which is enough for about half an album of music. This means you won't be able to store any photos or extras on it because of the lack of space. It could really do with having & expandable memory.
The other problem I found was transferring music to it. Luckily I have a Bluetooth mouse, so have a plug-in USB Bluetooth transmitter/receiver. Without this I would not have been able to put the couple of music tracks I had on it. I think it should come with a cable, rather than having to buy it separately.
The other problem I had with it was actually using it. Because of its small size, & because I've not used a Samsung before, I found it hard to get along with. I found the operating system very different to what I am used to, & texting a bit odd. Don't get me wrong, I used it for a week before sending it back to my provider.
Overall, if you like Samsungs & the way they work then go ahead & get one. If you are a Nokia or Motorola kind of person then don't bother.

I thought it would be hard to find a phone that equals in quality as the D500, & I have finally found it. Easy to use, & navigate through the menus. OK, so it comes with Chelsea pictures, but they can be removed to make free space. The Ringtones are quite good, but you can use Full Songs as Ringtones which is a bonus. Quite a light phone, & fits in the pocket without feeling chunky & uncomfortable. Looks good to. The slide feels a lot stronger then that of (example) Nokia 6111, which is quite weak.
Looks great, & is really light. Recommend this phone to anyone, it is great.

I have a Samsung E370. I have had the hand set 3 months, 3 weeks of this time has seen the hand set returned to the CPW to have a screen changed. This phone lives either in my pocket on my kitchen bench or on my desk at work. So after two months of purchasing a Samsung E370 I find it un-fit for today's world.
Samsung what is the problem with your E370, D500, D600 & D900?

I just got the pink version. It looks great & is nice & small which is good for my little hands. It's got all the features I need in a phone & more plus I didn't need a mortgage to buy it. Was surprised they didn't provide cable for PC but got one off eBay for less than £5 so not great problem. Advertised as an MP3 player in shop so expected & would have liked more memory, that's only fault I can think of.

The Samsung E370 is a beautifully designed camera mobile phone. It is a user friendly focused handset weighing only 85g. The 40 MB memory allows you to store contact details, photos, video clips & messages. The 1.3 megapixel camera can be used to capture all your special memories & holiday snaps & store them on the phones memory. The camera has a built in flash feature allowing you to take photos in duller & darker environments. The imagining features of the E370 provide you with much entertainment & pleasure. The music player allows you to play music in MP3 or AAC format & you can hear the high quality sound through the loud speakers. Have a look at Samsung E370.

E370 is an ideal phone for us simple mobile phone users. It looks expensive & sleek. Slide opening is great & coloured displays are good. It's a neat little phone which has some good features but nothing to techie & confusing. Camera is 1.3 mega pixel & it's as good as the 2 mega pixel cameras. Video recording & playing is a little grainy but good for a mobile phone. Never worried about the battery life as it goes on & on & on.

I have owned 3 Samsung phones & my favourite so far is the D600, I am currently looking for a phone for my partner & the E370 offers almost all the she wants from a phone apart from a radio feature, why is there no FM radio on the E370? Great music player, super 1.3 MP camera & cool video player but no radio. She wants Bluetooth to connect to her wireless headset but not so worried about having 3G at the moment. Battery life is good & the size is ideal but the non existing radio is disappointing.

Really small & light this is a great phone for your pocket. The slide action is also very nice & the phone feels solid because of it. The menu etc. is normal Samsung style, same stupid ring tones, but for a phone that does the basic features (i.e. not an open OS smart phone) this is small & reliable. I would recommend it.

What can I say? I have been looking for THIS TELEPHONE for a long, long time & finally, SOMEONE OUT THERE, listened & got it right...
Small, hey that's cool...works like a telephone, how about that? The really one thing I like is the BLUETOOTH. It connects with no fuss, but when disconnected, you have to manually reconnect by pressing two clicks on a single button. I like this, because it DOES NOT automatically try to connect to any hook, line & stinker of ANY Bluetooth out there in the wilderness, but waits for your signal. I like this because I can have CONTROL. Other devices automatically connect to any similar devices & that's uncool.
The first mobile phone I can really put in my Levi's COIN POCKET...
