Samsung D780 Duos Review

The Samsung D780 Duos is an attractive dual SIM mobile phone which comes in a solid bar casing complete with many useful & entertaining portable features. The D780 Duos comes in a dark silver coloured casing or a light silver coloured casing which both look incredibly sleek & stylish & complement the phones overall design. The handset has a solid & sturdy feel to its casing due to it be made with metal sections which makes this mobile phone feel luxurious & rich in design. The handset measures 115mm tall by 49.6mm wide by 15.7mm deep in a solid bar design which is easy to use & hold in a single hand.

The Samsung D780 Duos has a good size coloured screen which is ideal for viewing video clips, pictures & the menu options. The screen is 2.1 Inch in size when measured diagonally across the screen & it has a 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. Below the screen the user will find an extremely smooth navigation key & a well spaced out keypad which makes text & number entry easy for the user. The D780 Duos is from the Samsung D range which includes other stylish mobile handsets including the Samsung D830, Samsung D840 & the Samsung D900.

This dual SIM card mobile phone comes with a built in camera feature which allows the user to capture still pictures & moving video footage. The built in camera is a 2 megapixel digital camera feature complete with a quick access camera key & features. The user can record video footage on their new Samsung D780 Duos mobile phone which can be stored, deleted or simply shared with others via the messaging service or connectivity options.

The D780 Duos comes with an expandable memory card facility which allows the user to add a memory card up to two gigabytes in size. The phone supports Bluetooth® technology which allows the user to gain a wireless connection between the Samsung D780 Duos & other Bluetooth® compatible devices. The phone also comes with a USB port which allows the user to insert a USB cable into their phone & the other end of the USB cable can then be connected to another compatible device for a cabled connection between devices.

A WAP Internet browser allows the user to enjoy connecting to the World Wide Web to access service & information sites. The Samsung D780 Duos comes with a variety of messaging services which allows the user to communicate with others without making a call. The messaging services include a picture messaging service known as MMS messaging, an email service, enhanced messaging service known as EMS messaging & a text messaging service known as SMS messaging. The user can choose the messaging service which best suits their messaging needs & away they go.

The phone comes with a radio feature which allows the user to tune into a FM radio station to hear all the latest music. A built in music player allows the user to enjoy a music playing experience on the Samsung D780 Duos. A built in clock & alarm feature allows the user to set the alarm clock feature as a reminder or simply to get the user up each morning. The D780 Duos comes with an integrated calculator which is useful when the user is out on a large shopping spree & the calendar feature allows the user to stay on top of all those important dates & appointments.

If you need a dual SIM phone but are not too bothered about all the extras that most people don't use anyway, this is the ideal phone.

I have been using this phone for over a year now & it has been excellent.

You can select which SIM you want to use in a few button presses & this becomes the default setting so there is no chance of being hit for roaming charges, but if you do want to use the other SIM for any reason one button press will give you this option, & once you are home again a few more button presses will reset the default SIM.

This has been the best phone I have ever owned, it may not be the all singing & dancing up to the minute model, but it does everything it is supposed to reliably & without any problems.

Good one, but there needs to be enhancements & there is some drawbacks.

- A playlist contains maximum 30 songs, Needs to be increased.
- Unable to explore the SD memory card. Only the songs can hold on specified folder.
