Samsung D520 Review

The Samsung D520 is a compact & smooth slider mobile phone which comes in a sexy black finish. The handset has a great opening mechanism which when opened will display a well set out keypad. The phone has an excellent navigation tool which can be used when the phone is in the open or closed position. The external controls are highly useable & the large colourful screen can be seen when the slider is open or shut. The handset weighs 94 grams & measures 101 x 46 x 15.9 mm which provides the user with a slim & compact mobile phone. The D520 is from the same family as the Samsung D500 but the D500 is more curvaceous than it's brother the Samsung D520 which has a sharper & distinctive look to its design. The Samsung D500 & Samsung D520 both share the slider type opening mechanism which is of high quality & extremely smooth to operate. The D520 comes with eighty Mbytes of built in memory which the user can use to store their photos, videos & messages.

The D520 comes with a clear & useable camera feature which is fun to use. The camera is a 1.3 megapixel camera which comes with a built in flash. The user can snap away to their hearts content with this fun feature & capture all of their special moments in their day. The photo taken by the user can be used as a screensaver, wallpaper, stored on the phones memory for viewing later or sent to others via multimedia messaging. The user can recorder & play video footage on the Samsung D520 which is a great way to capture those special memories in action rather than as a still photo. The user can capture & create a video clip complete with sound & feel like a movie director.

The fun doesn't stop their for the Samsung D520 as it comes with embedded Java™ games which include Bobby Carrot, Air Ship Racing, Arch Angel & Free Kick games. The user can download more Java™ games to fit their gaming taste.

The Samsung D520 will ensure that the user will always stay in contact with friends & family as it comes with some simple to use messaging services. I have had this phone for nearly a year now & it seems to be playing up. The phone keeps on turning itself on when it has been turned off & it keeps on charging itself without being plugged in! Old & rubbish?

I brought my Samsung D520 approximately 5 months ago & I have had nothing but troubles with it. I had it replaced FOUR times by Vodafone because of it being faulty. Now about a month ago it decided to break & the warranty being out of date for this kind of thing.

At the moment I am contemplating whether to get the phone fixed, which may I add, is a complicated & long process, or just get a new one. Not to mention it will cost upwards of $200 to fix, when I bought it it was $300. I strongly recommend that you do not purchase this phone.

This is a simply ace phone for anyone who wants a phone were you can access anything quickly & easily, it has brill features such as MP3 player, image editor, 1.3MP camera etc. A really good thing about this phone is that screensavers move if you set them not as screensaver but as main display (wallpaper). When you put in the headphones the volume increases big style compared to the normal volume which is good enough. Overall a g00d phone to buy. By the way I have had this phone since May & not 1 thing has gone wrong with it!

This phone is easy to use & good on options, really a phone that couldn't be asked more out of. It has some problems with volume quality & variations. Could do with an expandable memory. Overall I would give it 2 thumbs up & recommend it to any-one.

This is a great phone, it has good build quality, fells good in the hand, has a decent camera & also serves as a MP3 player, my only qualms about this phone are its lack of expansion slot & the inability to install games from my old phone (a Nokia) via Bluetooth, other than that, its a great phone & highly recommended!

I love this phone. Had it for almost a year, for the price I paid it was easily worth it compared to my last phone. Looks really good & impressive, sure the volume for music isn't that loud, JUST PLAY LOUDER MUSIC. Great camera & over 10/10 easily. Would easily suggest this phone to anyone.

Great looking phone with basic but good features. Good deal on it & got the phone that I wanted. I am having problems with the sound on my D520 as the volume switches from faint to loud & the keys make a stupid noise. It is getting to me & I have set all the correct settings but the keys are too noisy & the volume has a mind of its own. My D520 must be a duff one & will be sent back tomorrow. I am not a complete idiot so please no comments from other reviews about changing the setting, this has been done & re-done & done again.
