The phone is great & impressive at first sight. However, if you are not the kind of user who can't be so patient with the touch screen feature, I strongly do not recommend this phone as you can get better phone at cheaper price. The price for the Armani is just too expensive, however there are deals on the Armani.

I love this phone! I don't know how people can complain about it! I find using the touch screen really easy but then I do have skinny fingers! Texting takes a wee bit to get used to, but I got mine yesterday lunch time & have pretty much got it sussed now :) it's not that hard, it's just practice, same as with anything new!
Overall, beautiful fantastic phone! Buy it now, you will NOT regret it! I got mine brand new for £167.50!

I read all of the comments on this phone & afterwards became a little worried as there are so many negative comments about it, however after its arrival I began to wonder what all the negativity was about, the design of the phone is stunning, guaranteed to turn heads & the touch screen is amazing. I will admit it can be a little difficult to get used to but if you have never owned a Samsung phone before this is understandable. Texting on the phone can be difficult for the first few days, after this you will get used to it, give it a chance like you would any other phone, it will not disappoint!

It's a gorgeous phone. It was between this & the LG viewity but that was too bulky & I found the stylus would have got annoying after a while.it does take a bit of time & a few swear words before you get the typing & texting right but after that its easy to use & is as sleek as anything!

I wanted this phone since the day it came out. I have had Samsung phones before so I was very excited about this one & especially, because 2 great companies got together & created this little beauty. I got it as an upgrade & I can honestly say that this phone is real quality despite all the criticism it gets.
Yes, it is a bit difficult to get to know how it works, but if you give it enough time, it is just as easy as any other phone & especially, if you had Samsung phones before because it has the same features. The touch screen is a bit trouble to get used to but I absolutely love this phone & I can't fault it for anything. It has got great, gorgeous design, really stylish & its features are just absolutely great. It just looks really smart. People are complaining about texting being so difficult & slow, but what can you expect? It has got a TOUCH SCREEN, so you can't just press it as a normal phone.
I would never ever give it back or change it for another one because I absolutely love this phone & I recommend it to all people who love nice, gorgeous things & the quality as well.

I upgraded to the Armani phone 3 weeks ago now. To begin with it was a nightmare to use & I packed up the box & everything ready to take back, but now I am very glad I didn't.
Everybody says that this phone is hard to text quickly, which is exactly what I found to begin with, but after three weeks I can text quickly now (as quick as I could on my Sony Ericsson K800i) & have even mastered texting without looking now.
As for the other features I feel it hasn't got the broadest range of options, & the camera doesn't feel like a 3 megapixel camera at all in fact in the majority of my pictures it reminds me of the old VGA cameras!
But apart from this I think it just depends on where your priorities lie, on whether you should get this phone or not, but if you do decide to get it, give it 3 weeks of regular use & you'll love it!

I bought the Armani phone yesterday & I think it is stunning design but you have definitely got to sit & play with it to get used to it. It may be ultra modern with the touch screen but all phones are starting to be like this so we got to get used to it. Texting is taking me ages at the minute but I am getting quicker. I would say this phone is best for people with small hands because it gets annoying when you keep hitting the wrong key. Overall though I do like it, it holds tons of music so it's as good as the iPhone. Just be patient & play with it first before getting stressed :).

I had purchased this phone 4 days back as I found it very attractive & presumed it should be easy to handle. The phone definitely has a good touch screen but I found the following problems while using it. Scrolling down the contact list or finding a contact by typing from the display key board was difficult. The keys are slightly small for a man's finger to fiddle with. The chance of the adjacent key to get activated is more. The photo when taken with the 3.15 mega pixel camera is nowhere near the quality snaps produced by Nokia N80. The pictures are pretty distorted & the colours are not natural no matter in whatever mode the picture was taken. There is no zooming facility also I guess. Or maybe I could not find the option easily.
Scrolling in the phone through the scroll bar is always a problem as said earlier. When the memory card features are looked into say the pictures taken the phone tends to slow down a bit & the touch screen does not behave well or respond. Video quality is better but I would like to know for what duration the videos can be captured continuously with this phone. The capturing limit was cut to about 19 seconds, when I tried it. Samsung could have looked into these aspects & hope they would address it.

I brought my phone 2 days ago & I was so excited, yes it is near perfect for design, & yes the touch screen responds very well, all in all I think it's a great phone. Needs a couple hours getting used to it, but patience is a virtue. Becoming a dab hand at using it now.
Only problem is texting is long & frustrating, but if you use predictive texting, speeds up the process.

I was on waiting list for a Viewty but got board so opted for this instead. I wish I had read reviews first!
Basically the main, not the only I might add, things that annoy me are not being able to text easily, weird that you can't see the whole text while you type! Also making calls, you can't change the shortcut menu but even if you could it wouldn't make up for the slowness.
I wouldn't recommend getting this if you are a texter which I am! Doh! Think I will sell it & stick to me old Samsung!

After getting the Armani yesterday I opened the box with anticipation. Yes its stunning & lovely accessories just stunning. After playing with it for half an hour I was ready to take it back it drove me mad.
Determination got the better of me & by the end if the evening I had it off to a the! Perseverance is the key with texting, don't buy this phone if you want to grab it out of the box & use with ease.
I am chuffed with it now & sure I will be even more in a few days.

From reading the reviews on this phone it seems as though it is either love it or hate it. I am in the hate it category. I got my Armani phone from eBay for a bargain £200 brand new & thought I would love it. However it is the biggest letdown ever & I don't understand how 2 brilliant companies could make a phone so difficult to use. Yes the phone looks amazing but it is not easy to use & definitely not suitable for someone who needs to make phone calls & send text messages quickly. The minute I started using it I knew that I was going to sell it on. The main reason for this is that texting is a nightmare. It takes ages & it is very easy to make mistakes. I had read this on other reviews on this site but decided to try for myself which I now regret.
Overall this phone is for people who are very fashion conscious & have plenty of time to write out a text or make a call. I am going back to a Sony Ericsson, either the P1i or the W960i. P.S. This phone does not have a slide out qwerty keypad nor does it have an FM radio or Wi Fi which I have read on many sites.

Love this phone, was advised to think carefully before deciding to buy this phone due to the bad reviews. But guess what! I am so glad I went ahead with it. This is my first touch screen phone & I have no trouble using it at all. I think you have to have slim lady figures to be able to use it (sorry guys). The only problem I have is viewing photos is a bit slow from my memory card which I used on my previous phone. I think it could be the sizes of the images taken from my previous phone are too big. Otherwise this phone is fantastic!

I use Armani for 2 weeks & I think it is a great phone. Sure this is rather a stylish phone than an all in one, as far is concerned the functionality but it is not a problem because the main stuffs is in there. (Missing some things, for example the built in radio & 3G, profiles)
Let's see the reported top most problems from the other users.
Use of the menu.
If you touch the screen & drag your finger from top to bottom or vice versa you can move between the menu items. It is not too complex & the touch screen response quite well. It's working while you edit SMS as well.
SMS writing.
My opinion is that EASY TO CREATE SMS! Use of the predictive T9 mode & the writing will be very rapid. If you not use just only the normal Abc mode it is needed some practise.
Wearing in the Armani leather case looks very cool & when you make a call YOU HAVEN'T GOT TO TAKE IT OFF because through the case you can hear & speak everything clearly.
What other phone provide this for you? :-).

I used the Armani for 1 week & I think it is a great phone. Sure this is rather a stylish phone than an all in one, as far is concerned the functionality but it is not a problem because the main stuffs is in there. (Missing something for example built in radio & 3G, no customizable surface & no profiles, only two, normal & mute mode).
Let's see the reported top most problems from other users.
Use of the menu.
Easy to touch the menu items, when you want to scroll across the items you put your finger in the screen & drag it to top or bottom without to release the display. When you reach the bottom or top of the screen you can release it & you see that scrolling is committed smoothly. If you not release it that continue from item to item until you release the display (or reach the bottom or top).
If you want to reach the bottom of a list quickly you can make a long drag on the scroll bar at the right edge of the display.
SMS writing.
My opinion is that EASY TO CREATE SMS! If you use the predictive T9 mode the typing would be high speed. If you use the Abc mode, you need a little practice to type but it isn't too hard.
MODIFY TEXT, to modify text on the base screen of the text editor you can use the long drag method I write in the previous section. With a long bottom to top or top to bottom drag you can move from row to row. With a left to right or right to left move you can move across letters & words. If you not release the display under the move you can step multiple row at a glance. When you find the position from that you can insert text you can touch the keyboard icon or you can touch the editor section itself to jump the text writing screen.
Important, Make the drags on the editor screen SOFTLY otherwise it jumps to the text writing section. Little practice too :-).
Wearing the Armani leather case looks like fantastic & when you make a call you haven't to take it off the phone because through the case you can hear & speak everything clearly. What other phone provide this for you? :-).

This phone is incredibly frustrating!
Before I bought it, I was worried that it would be hard to use, but the looks tempted me too much & I bought it, stupidly.
My first impressions were great, the touch screen was easy to use & quite responsive.
After 2 weeks I hate the phone. The touch screen is a gimmick & by now it is incredibly inaccurate, & works about one 5th of the time at most.
Seriously, do not be tempted, get a Nokia n95 or a phone that will actually work.
Incidentally to the previous reviewer, whilst in call press the hold button to unlock & there is an icon that brings up a keypad to type numbers in call.

If you are looking for a phone on the basis of it being attractive, & don't care about how user friendly it is then this phone would be perfect.
However if you want a phone that you can actually use easily, this phone fails. I've had the phone for little over a week & it is currently being sent back to 02. The phone is gorgeous, & the menu is fine, but text messages, they take forever, & when you do finally write it press one wrong button & it deletes everything. I'd read reviews about it, but thought I would try it out, but after a week I was ready to throw it at a wall. The touch screen was just too hard to get used to.

I got this phone on Friday & although I couldn't for the life of me work out how to send a text in the shop, on reading a single page of the simple instruction manual over the weekend I was able to send texts with no difficulty at all. A bit of practice & I am sure I'll be sending them as quickly as on any other mobile. I thought when I first saw the phone that it was all looks & no usability, but surprisingly that's not actually the case. Making & receiving calls is very simple, the recent contacts list available through the 'dial' key is easy & convenient to use & means that all of your regular numbers are at hand for quick dialling, I also like the fact that even if you've just sent someone a text they will appear in your recent contacts list. The phone lock & unlock button is conveniently located on the side of the phone & there is a silent mode button on the 'home' screen which is great for easy switching off in the cinema, theatre etc.
Texting is fun with smiley icons, though I guess you need this handset to receive them in that form.
I have downloaded a few albums onto the MP3 player (the handset comes with a pretty generous 1 Gig memory card, more than enough to get you started) & the sound quality is very good, you can play tunes out loud too.
The haptic vibro feature is fun & although I grant you there is a knack to making the touch screen respond accurately every time to your first instruction, I reckon it's something that you can master reasonably well with a bit of practice.
Unlike one of the reviewers, I will not be taking mine back to the shop or selling it on, it's cool, compact, does what it should do & is fun to use & after all a handset is for one year, not for life, & this phone is a lot smarter & crams in a lot more features into a tiny space than my last few handsets have.

Do not get this phone. I upgraded from my Sony Ericsson K800i to the Samsung Armani on the Orange network & I hate it! I have already gone back to my Ericsson.
If you like to send a lot of text messages this is not the phone for you. It took me about half an hour to send a small text message after trying to correct the istakes the phone kept making.
You will be wanting to throw the phone out the window, it's very frustrating & time consuming!
Although it looks very smart I will be taking this phone back in the week & upgrading to something different!

I got this phone about three days ago from O2 as an upgrade I wanted to have the LG Viewty but it was out of stock so I took the Armani at first I was sure I was going to sent it back but after playing around with it I will definitely be keeping it, the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that I can't change the colour of the back ground from the black to my favourite colour blue or something else. & I know that some people say that it is impossible to text on but I don't have that problem & believe me I am 5ft 11 210 pound & I have large fingers & all so very long nails, & I don't have a problem texting, maybe it is because I am use to the touch scream as I have the E900 & the Prada & I find the Armani a lot easier to use than the Prada & it also have a lot more built in memory & the size! Is perfect & when you put it in that lovely leather case that come with it you are good to go, well done Samsung.

Overall I was taken in by the good looks & the features the phone had. Boy was I wrong! The phone is a nightmare to use, it constantly goes to standby mode after a few seconds. When messaging & you leave a few seconds gap phone locks itself & it goes to standby mode. When you dial a number for example & you are prompted to press another number e.g. Press 1 for apps, 2 for services, 3 for results etc you can't find the numbers because the screen goes to standby. I shall be going back to Nokia. Save your money guys don't buy this phone.

Lovely to look at but a nightmare to use, may well take it back. Have a voice mail message but can't listen to it as it says key in 1 but can't find how to key it in, any ideas? Texting is so slow that I don't think I have sent one since I got it. No pleasure in using the phone.

I loved this phone when I first seen it & couldn't help myself getting out a new contract! It looks gorgeous, very stylish. I had to have it.
Now a week later I am selling it on eBay & getting the k850i. I thought I would get used to the touch screen but it takes me ages to send a text that has no mistakes or extra letters in, I also so to the end of a text then accidently clear the screen but pressing something I don't know I have. It takes ages to phone someone as you have to go all the way through to your phone book there is no shortcuts for anything! The camera isn't as good as I though it is only 3 mega pixel & didn't realise how much I would miss a decent camera. But I do!
I don't like the fact you have to move stuff yourself to the memory card when the phone memory is full. Then when you want to set a song as your ringtone you have to move it back to your phone. Love the phone & tempted to keep it because of the looks but I am always on the go & need a phone I can text & call people fast! Disappointed but will be happy to be back on Sony Ericsson!

It looks delicious but it was just too sensitive on the touch screen. I was constantly pressing the wrong letters when I tried to text. BUT you do get used to it, girlies, it's even more difficult with long nails!
The camera is good quality although as with previous Samsungs you have to keep camera pointed at subject a couple of seconds after you have pressed button or image is distorted. Other features have all seemed Samsungs normal high quality.
Packing is all very classy & quality as you would expect from Armani, has really good quality leather case as well as a little velvet one. Phone cleaning cloth & velvet bag for accessories.
I like the phone & think if you stick with it, then you will too. Be prepared to want to launch it through the air to begin with!

I hate this phone, have had it for a month & am back to my Nokia, wish I had never succumbed to its beauty. It looks great, feels great, messaging has never been so difficult, the touch screen is far too sensitive & you lose your text so easily. This is the second I have had, first one crashed after 2 weeks, was given a new one but if I could swop it I would, gladly.

Does anyone know if this is available in an Orange Shop on upgrade?

Used this phone for a weekend & it did my head in. Good looking phone but very frustrating to use & access menus. If you text a lot then this phone is not for you, it takes about 5 minutes to compose a simple text. Samsung & Armani should be ashamed of themselves.

I got this phone with my new monthly contract 5 days ago because of the looks, it really looks stunning & posh & that made me choose it over the Nokia N95 & the LG Viewty although I knew the performance won't be the same thinking I might get used to it.
The features I liked, purely the looks very nice & a very stylish cover, the camera is OK & it has some fun features like mosaic picture taking & frames.
The features I hated.
- the touchscreen turns black to standby very quickly, about 5 seconds of not touching anything then you have to unlock it & you can't extend the time at all, I tried to call Samsung to help me after I couldn't find anything in the instructions but they couldn't help me which was very disappointing.
- When you call someone & you'd like to turn on the loudspeaker the phone locks so you have to unlock it then turn on the loudspeaker so totally its 4 steps, 2 to unlock & 2 to turn it on which is very annoying as compared to the Nokia when it is just one touch of a button!
- When I was calling the customer service I was asked to enter letters of my password by looking at the numbers when normally it is easy when you look at the keypad of a normal phone & you can see the letters but on the touchscreen you only get numbers & you have to guess the letters! However you can get the letters if you are writing a text but if you touch one letter you might touch the one underneath which was extremely annoying & it took me ages to write a simple text! Bear in mind I have very slim fingers!
- the phonebook is not flexible at all, if I wanted to enter multiple phone numbers for the same contact there are 3 choices, mobile, home & business & if you wanted to change the title of one of them you can't.
- If you wanted to set the ringtone you can't get the vibrating alert & the tone at the same time, you can get a combination starting as a vibration then ringtone or have them separately but not simultaneously!
I couldn't live with this phone especially because I was used to the Nokia N80 for so long so I am going to take it back & I can't wait to get my hands on the good old Nokia again!

The phone is gorgeous but very hard to text as the touchscreen is too sensitive, also takes to many 'touches' to access phonebook, messages etc. As you cannot set shortcuts.
I have had the phone a week but am taking it back as it takes me too long to do anything on it.

The good, the design, the style, the size, 3 mp camera, touch screen with vibration when touched! Wi-Fi!
The bad, the touch screen can be hard to use for some people, the video quality is awful, it's bad for instant messaging!
Conclusion, this is a great phone, with an amazing design, made for men, this phone is small & you may have trouble with the battery life!
Score: is 8.4.

Please note this phone does not have an FM radio. BUT having said that it's a great phone to use & I prefer its dimensions to the Samsung f700, which incidentally does not have a radio either contrary to what is stated on the Vodafone website.
The interface on the Armani is great & of very good quality. I like the touch screen, it's much more reliable than older touch features provided by Samsung & the features on this phone are really good, lots to customise, love the case & the size is spot on. I was a huge fan of the P300, it's great to see this style developed & I hope Samsung will come up with smaller touch screen phones like this BUT with a radio. PLEASE!

You people need to get some perspective. There's a reason why sites like this have trouble giving decent information to consumers & it's because people like you come on here & say 'I love it. Can't wait to get one.' or 'I am a concept designer & we did a great job on this one.'
How is that a review? TEST the phone & give people some useful information or just keep your fictitious ratings to yourselves!
I hate this phone. Just because of your fake reviews. I think it is the worst phone I've never used. I can't wait not to get one, because I know already that the design is terrible & the features are really not worth the price. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE, I didn't, either!

I am very delighted to review product first. This is a great phone, as I am a concept designer for the Samsung, although I am not being bias. This is Fantastic & I recommend you all.
