Hi, this is the first time I have ever had a Samsung phone, was a Sony fan for many years, & can I just say I love it! It's got the looks, features & the sound quality is fantastic, so much better than the Sony phones I have had (sorry Sony) trust me this phone is worth every penny you won't be disappointed, I am certainly not.

I love this phone & its best features are the battery life (lasts for a long time), the weight & size. The navigation is a bit ambiguous as I am used to Nokia, but it's not so bad. You just have to get used to it. Has anyone had a problem about typing messages? I can't seem to find the apostrophe in mine. It's usually on the 1 key. Also the keypad is not brilliant for typing messages quickly. Overall a very good phone though.

This is my first Samsung & I must say I am pleased, as I thought I would be. My dad had an older Samsung slider as a work phone & I thought it was a well built phone with a great screen. My previous phone was a Sony Ericsson W890i, which was black & gold like the Samsung (my third black & gold mobile, LOL).

The casing of the Samsung is nice, but the finish & materials are not up to Sony Ericsson standards (love phones made of steel). That said I love the keypad on the Samsung as opposed to the old fashion non flush keypad of the Sony (& every Sony Ericsson I've had). I went for this sort of keypad because of my love of the Motorola V3 back in the day.

The menu on the Samsung is considerably faster than that of my old one & it's an attractive & easy to navigate one.

I gave 90% in design because this is my first slider phone & opening & closing can still be awkward for me. Though I have found using my thumb on the right hand side of the screen makes it less of a hassle. Also button in the centre of the arrow keys being labelled OK & the arrow on the battery cover makes this phone look like a phone for infants.

I gave 95% for Features because I don't get that there is no option to put the LED lamp on without using the camera. Handy for when the lights go out. I think the alarm would be better too if on the home screen it displayed what time the next alarm will be going off instead of just the alarm symbol (Sony Ericsson does this).

And I gave 95% for usability because of my inexperience with the slide mechanism.

Overall a great phone & I am happy to be able to say I've now owned a Samsung.

Very nice looking phone, very user friendly, so easy to use, with plenty of features for a very reasonable price. Good quality pictures from camera & seems to have a decent battery life. Music player is good with plenty of volume (drowns out my wife's Tocco).

Overall a really good value for money phone that looks good too.
