The Samsung M2710 is a music orientated mobile phone which comes in a sleek & stylish slide opening casing. This phone is available in a black coloured casing complete with bright blue sections & a white coloured handset complete with purple coloured sections. These coloured sections highlight the phones stylish music controls, the navigation control & the M2710 has a coloured edging which highlights the outer casing. The M2710 is a fashionable looking handset & has been beautifully designed by Samsung. This music focused mobile phone has a coloured screen which is just over two inches in size when measured diagonally from corner to corner. This screen has a 240 pixel by 320 pixel resolution on the TFT screen. Its overall shape & slide design makes this handset easy to hold & operate in a single hand. The Samsung M2710 measures approximately 9.6cm high, 4.6cm wide, 1.6cm deep & it has a lightweight but solid feel as it weighs 95 grams with its fitted battery.

The main feature on this handset has to be it's built in music features which allow the user to enjoy a loud, high quality & user friendly music features on their phone. Its integrated music player supports many popular music formats including MP3, WMA & eAAC+ music format. The user can enjoy using dedicated music keys which are situated on the front section of the handset & highlighted by the brightly coloured section of the casing. The Samsung M2710 supports DNSe sound which is a Digital Natural Sound Engine which provides high quality sound for the user to enjoy on their new mobile phone. The built in music features include a music recognition service, automatic equaliser as well as a turn to mute music control & a shake control feature. The user can use the music recognition feature to find out the name of a song, the album which the song is from & the name of the name of the singer by simply recording a few seconds worth of the song & the music recognition will do the rest. An automatic equaliser allows the user to gain the best quality sound to suit the user's style of music. The user can use a turning motion of the handset to mute their music player & also enjoy a shake control action when changing their music selection. An integrated FM radio complete with a RDS feature allowing the user to read text on their screen whilst listening to their favourite radio station. The user can listen to their music via the stereo sound speakers for a out loud music experience or plug in a set of compatible headphones for a more private listening experience.

The Samsung M2710 comes with a built in Internet browser which is a WAP browser & is located via the main menu. This Internet browsing experience allows the user of the M2710 to enjoy a XHTML browsing experience. The Bluetooth® technology allows the user to connect their Samsung M2710 to other Bluetooth® compatible devices when transferring files between devices for a truly wireless connection. A USB cabled connection can be used to connect the M2710 to other devices including a computer, laptop, printer other mobile phones & much more. The phone covers a GSM network which includes GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900 which provides a worldwide roaming handset for the user to enjoy using worldwide, depending on the network operators network coverage. This slide opening handset supports expandable memory cards in the form of a MicroSD™ memory card & the memory card slot can hold up to sixteen gigabytes of external memory. The Samsung M2710 supports EDGE technology & GPRS which provides the user with fast speed transfer rates.

A built in SMS text messaging service allows the user to communicate with compatible SMS contacts, using text & symbols in an easy to create text message. The user can share messages with ease on the Samsung M2710 & share pictures or video clips using the MMS service which is a message containing a picture or video clip complete with text & sound if required. The M2710 slider phone also supports an enhanced messaging service & an email service, so the user can communicate using the best messaging service to suit the user's needs. The Samsung M2710 has an integrated phone book which can hold up to one thousand contacts. A built in two megapixel camera allows the user to capture a quick snap or record a short video recording on their handset. The user can use the screen as a viewfinder & the capture key is located at an easy to reach position for ease of use. This two megapixel camera supports video recording & video playback in high quality MPEG4 format.

I like its design. But I find it difficult to play music. We cannot use it comfortably through memory card, we need to go through the music player every time. I would like to know what video format does this phone supports? I have added several videos of 3GP, WAV, AVI, etc, but it is not supporting.

Hi. I purchased this phone around a week back & I find it really good especially for music purposes!

The GUI could have been a bit better but ease of use is very high & overall it's a very cost effective phone with all desired features built in :).
