Overview
The I9100 Galaxy S II is a slim touch screen Android Smartphone which is from the same Samsung range as the highly popular Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. The Galaxy S II may also be known as the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2, but it all equates to the same handset. This outstanding handset has the Android version 2.3 operating system & a TouchWiz version 4.0 touch user interface. Its main technologies include 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth® & its features include a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, 8 megapixel camera, social network integration & Internet browsing with Google™ search, all built into its extremely slim & pocket friendly designed casing.

Appearance & Size
It has a slim & elegantly designed black coloured casing with silver coloured edging. The shape of the casing is flat, smooth & perfectly formed therefore easy for the user to carry in their trouser pocket, or hold in a single hand when in use. The back of the casing holds the 8 megapixel camera lens & the back cover has a discrete textured designed. It weighs 116 grams & measures 0.85cm deep, 12.53cm tall by 6.61cm. The I9001 Galaxy S II has a stunning Super AMOLED Plus touch screen which measures 4.3 inches diagonally, & the screen is manufactured using a Gorilla glass display. Due to this Android Smartphone being a touch screen form the user can enjoy the use of an onscreen numeric keypad or a QWERTY layout keyboard.

Video playback can provide much entertainment for the user & the Galaxy S II supports a wide range of formats which include MPEG4, H263, H264, WMV & DivX. Music can be heard via the radio feature or the music player, plus the user can download their favourite tracks from the Internet or transfer music files from other devices onto their Smartphone using the connectivity options available. An impressive 8 megapixel camera lens is built into the back of the casing allowing the touch screen to be used as a photo or video viewfinder. There is a variety of imaging focused setting such as a LED flash, face detection, geo tagging thanks to the GPS navigation function, an automatic focus & a touch controlled focus. This 8 megapixel camera lens can capture video footage at thirty frames per second too.

The I9100 Galaxy S II has a varied selection of messaging services which allows the user to create a message which can be shared with compatible messaging contacts. The user can communicate with others via an online instant messaging conversation, or by creating an email, text, or multimedia style message. Emails can be sent directly to & from the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II thanks to its push email support, plus the user can use their Gmail™ account when sending emails. Popular social network Websites are integrated so the user can instantly access their Facebook™ account or tweet via Twitter™ from their Smartphone.

This Android Smartphone comes with two internal memory options which include a sixteen or thirty two gigabyte memory option, plus the handset supports external memory using a MicroSD™ card. Well done Samsung. This is what everyone has been waiting for. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is the leading phone which all others will try & follow. Yes even Apple!
The AMOLED screen is just stunning. A 1.2 GHZ dual processor just makes this phone so smooth & super fast.

Oh the freedom of choice & how we want to run our phone using the Android system is a gift I will never ever give up easily. No more suffering with the constraints of Apples notorious iPhone limitations & the awful itunes sync system.

I downloaded a Sat Nav App which runs brilliantly. The Android market app store has so many app's & these are increasing by the hundreds every day. I particularly like the way one can design the home screen to one's own taste.

The Camera is really good, both for still shots & movie shots & HD is awesome. Internet use is just brilliant, streaming video's via Wi-Fi is just perfect.
I really like the way you can download files etc from the Internet just like you would do on your home computer.

Oh the joys of having Flash player. The list of possibilities with this phone is endless. All I can say is if you want freedom & total control of your phone get the Samsung Galaxy S2, its one beautiful phone.

I spent ages reading reviews & watching videos on YouTube about iPhone 4 & the Samsung Galaxy S2. In the end I went for the Samsung mainly because I don't like what Apple stand for. What a phone! My friend at work has an iPhone 4 & the Samsung is loads faster. He said if the Samsung had been out when he got his iPhone he would have got the Samsung. Anyway, very, very fast phone, dual processor, 1000's apps, 8 meg camera, hd movies, very light, fantastic graphics. My phone came with 16GB internal memory, I bought a 32GB micro sd card for £20 so now have 48GB. (Can't do this with iPhone or change battery if it goes faulty, nice one Apple! ) There is nothing the iPhone can do that the Samsung can't. Get one!

Just come to Samsung from Nokia 5800xm & I am officially in love with this phone. In a direct test against my mates iphone4 this S2 is quicker & more usable by far. & it was free on contract of 30 quid a month on Vodafone. Its awesome. Loving Android apps too.
