The phone is good, but if the application is big it hangs up, though s60 series phone where you can play N gage games, graphic good, but camera resolution to me is not at all up to the mark.

Do not buy this phone. I have had it for 6 months & it has been annoying me with lags & glitches for 5 of those months, in the last month I have simply accepted that it is rubbish.

Issues with image & gallery.
- It cannot handle a 2GB memory card, the phone cannot estimate memory remaining for photo & video.
- When attempting to video, it freezes & does not unfreeze unless the battery is taken out & phone restarted.
- the sequence mode causes phone to freeze; again the battery needs to be removed.
- Any attempted editing to existent photos results in a discombobulated & distorted photo.
- When browsing though the gallery it often lags, freezes, & aborts back to the desktop of the phone.

Issues with file manager.
- Many photos cannot be moved around at once as the phone freezes & does not carry out the command.

Issues with messaging & related memory.
- Over 1000 messages cannot be deleted at once. During the process it freezes.
- When setting the messages to MMC card memory, the phone operates extremely slowly & often does not open messaging at all.
- Phantom messages that cannot be controlled eventually build up that can only be removed through a master reset.

Connection issues.
- the phone is often not recognized when connected via USB.
- the option to use a simple navigation (files etc) instead of the Nokia PC Suite was never given to me upon starting up the phone with the computer.
- There is no Linux support for this phone so you are screwed if you do not have a card reader & aren't willing to store everything on your card & possibly want to have control over your phone memory through your computer.

General issues.
- Any general command has a great potential to freeze mid action.
- the phone is slow in general & once you get comfortable with its navigation you will become too fast for it. It will get confused & give up.

Definitely not worth NZ$370.

It's a great phone! It's worth more than its sale price. I don't get what this 3G & 2G is all about, but the phone rocks in every way of its functioning.

The key pads could have been a bit bigger but manageable to a certain extent & can anyone tell me why & how to play video clips in it? Does it need any software to be installed (3rd party) or any conversion required?

It's a good phone to have for less than 9500 Indian Rs. It has all the features except 3G, but lacks basic features like auto keypad lock. One worse thing it has that its camera cover tends to lose its grip with time & use. Overall it's a good phone to have.

Hi. Today I bought this phone. This phone seems great. I have done research on all phones at this rate & finally arrived at this phone after 2 months. The sound is good & is very clear. The camera is great. There is a flash too. I took a photo in complete dark & it came out really superb, amazing thing. After some days I will give an improved review. Hope this phone will be superb.

Very good phone, features are great, sound quality very good, battery life good & photo quality very good too. What I did not like is the USB connector in the phone end. Nokia should think about using the same USB type connection for data transfer & to charge the battery. It would have more convenient if you forget the charger while out to tour, to get it charged from your Laptop too. My old phone of Motorola had this & I found it very helpful.

I am using this phone from the past two weeks. Its features are very nice. The 2MP Camera takes very good pictures even in dark with it powerful flash, the sound quality is good, it includes a FM Radio, Bluetooth, USB Cable connect for easy transfer of files through your PC, Extendable Memory slot to raise the memory up to 2GB, good compatibility with a lots of software (I suggest to install good pack of software to make the full utilization of the phone), now coming to the downside of the phone, I observed my phone not responding sometimes where I have to remove & replace the battery, the system is not responding when we keep for charging after the battery drains up itself (here also I have to remove & replace the battery to get back to start the phone), the processing is not as fast as expected but an average performer, the build in memory should have been much more. Apart from these the phone performs good in all other aspects. I recommend this phone when you need ample features at a reasonable price!

Hi, I just got a new Nokia N72 & it's an amazing phone but I dislike its battery duration. It doesn't last long & I have to charge it regularly. Moreover it is too slow as compared to my previous mobile phone Nokia 6300.

Its camera is fine but it has a superb look & good sound quality. The slide cover on the camera is loose & tend to open up. The mini games are good. Overall a good phone & to get an N-Series at just Rs.9660 is superb.

I really, really liked this phone because when I bought it I did not know what to choose between the N70 and the N72. Finally I thought about it & I decided to buy the N72. This phone is one of the best of the N-series phones. It has everything you need for your daily basis. It's fast & compatible with most software, this is an excellent phone & buy it straight away. It is very attractive. It is very fast as well so I advice everyone to buy it because it is better than the N70. It is also like a computer.

Previously I had the Nokia 7610, which was a fab phone & I thought it was time to retire it, as if I don't keep up with the latest it tends to get a bit beyond me. My only concern is the keys are quite a bit small but, I am sure I'll get used to it. Ringtones are a bit naff, but I will download others, sound is good. Camera takes good pictures & you can make mini movies. Will take me ages to get through looking at new features. Overall I like it a lot.

Looks great. The only problem with N72 design is the lens cover that tends to loose after frequent use. Camera result especially Movie recording is fantastic. Internal memory is however low, I.e., 20 Mb. Due to having Office & PDF utilities & multitasking capabilities I consider it as a computer in my hand.

I have had this phone for about a week now, & I think Nokia could have done a better job. The looks are great, the glossy finish, and the artistic lines, really attractive. But the surface catches fingerprints. The construction is not good either, it creaks when using, particularly the back cover. The key pad is difficult to use & badly constructed, soft keys depress unevenly, sometimes get stuck. The direction pad doesn't perform smoothly, sometimes jammed against the side of the screen. Lack of a separate confirmation key creates problems like accidentally pressing OK while trying to press left. The camera is fine, the built in speaker sometimes crack the sound for higher frequencies. The display could have been denser. Symbian op sys are good for plug in content, but performance could've been better.

Good things are that it looks good, has some weight & the music with a set of typical Nokia headphones (not the one supplied) is really good. Nokia usually makes more sturdy phones, a well constructed cell with fast performance is what makes it gold, and that's when the other stuff's get useful.

Previously, I was using n70 which was very good, as this gadget was taken by my friend, instead I tried n72 which was OK, but later humming sound started coming from the set. Set is quite heavy too. But, the colour is great. Wanted to buy n73, again the problem with lens cover, so haven't thought for a new one yet. Suggest Nokia to bring lens cover similar to Sony Ericsson k750i.

Are you listening Nokia?

Hello All,

The N72 is the best mobile in its range, with a lot of features that other phones in this category does not have. The camera & sound quality is simply superb. I took some snaps & I began thinking myself as a professional photographer... He He.... the only thing I did not find in this mobile is that auto keypad locking feature is not there. Its very basic feature that the NOKIA should have included. Apart from this I give 95/100 fro N72. THE CUTTEST PHONE!

The N72 is an excellent phone. The design is very sleek & the features are good, like the 2m.p camera, 20x zoom (but without flash). It has cool music & the operating system is ok, but a little bit slow.

This phone is better than the Nokia 6233, go & grab this mobile.

It's a gr8 mobile with almost all the features, but the Nokia guyz cud've made it better by a bigger screen but with that aside it's the best mobile for any1 who wants 2 get 2 megapixel camera. Its sound quality is awesome & so is its usability it doesn't I dunno what that guy from Hyderabad saw & thought it was an n72 (probably his current mobile :P) my opinion is that if u don't want 3G go for it coz it's a Lot Better!!!

Superb phone! The minute I got my hands on it, I fell for it, but there are few features like 3G technology that I miss but who cares when its a black metallic finishing & when it has this good mp3 sound quality.

Thumbs up! :-)

Well to begin with the keypad is congested for fast texting & playing games. The glossy cover is prone to smudges & requires repeated cleaning. I think the N70 is a better choice compared to N72. All features are the same except N72 has 28mb more memory. The software sometimes hangs up & the phone has to be restarted. No chance of changing covers as the casing is fixed. The joystick will make your thumbs ache if u using it to play games or browsing.
