It's a very practical & compact phone. If compared with the E90, which is supposed to be top of the range, there is actually very little difference, apart from the bigger screen, GPS & HSDPA. I personally would have appreciated an onboard GPS. The radio would have been a nice addition but it really is not essential. Other aspects that is not perfect is the Internet browsing capability & the voice recording time that's limited. But hey, overall when compared with other Smartphone's & even PDA's it is more compact with almost all of the futures included as standard for a device in this class.

This seemed like an ideal phone for my use. I wanted GPRS for email & a fold out qwerty keyboard (for texting & emails). Other bonus features: Wi-Fi, proper web browser, camera, MP3 player/radio & memory card.
So far so good, now the bad stuff.
- the phone is too slow when going from normal to (full keyboard) open or the other way around. It is also frequently slow at doing other stuff.
- You have to pay extra for a thing with headphone / radio.
- the memory card limit is 1 Gig. Why?
- the web browser runs out of memory sometimes after just a page or two making the browser completely useless even for looking at 'My eBay'.
- I have tried the latest firmware today & these problems are not fixed.
- the joystick button also went wrong fairly quickly so most of the time it takes a down press as select.
I have had many Nokia phones over the years but this is terrible. It should never have been sold, the hardware & software are far from ready. If I had shares in Nokia I would sell them as this attitude indicates a complacent company in an increasingly competitive market.

This phone is outstanding! Just have gotten rid of the rubbish Blackberry Pearl 8100 it was the worst phone I have ever had. The E70 is the best phone I have had better than its predecessor. Take my advice buy this phone you won't be disappointed.

The Nokia E70 was my dream phone (other than the Nokia N80) I was happy to see all the connections it can use, but when I got it, the battery lasted for only 1 day, I had to recharge everyday. The design was ugly when it's closed, but when it's opened it looked splendid. Anyway good phone!

The best I've had so far, using all of the features, but it scratches easily, features are great, screen is good, & size is very convenient for a business phone.

I have this phone for about a week now. I must admit that its display is unbelievably sharp. I am just little bit disappointed by the battery & also by the phone construction. But it's great phone with many features. Good deal.

I hate this phone so much & I am stuck only 7 months into an 18 month contract. I'd waited ages for it to be available in UK as I'd had the last model (number escapes me) that flipped open to reveal keyboard
I still love the keyboard - but it takes so long for the phone to react to most of the buttons. Woah betide you if you switch the thing off, it'll take up to 5 minutes to turn back on. Flip it open to write a text, sit back & grab a coffee in the time it takes for the screen to fire up.
In fact, the only thing that does work quickly is the stupid button on the side that sets off the voice recorder. Pick the phone up to answer a call & that thing gets set off.
Battery life - awful. I am charging it up daily. MP3 - OK if you only have five favourite songs as it won't hold much more than that.
Massively disappointed in this phone.

I have only one bad word to say about this device - Battery! It is rubbish. I have done everything possible to extend its life, (No Bluetooth, No 3G, Low Light, No Vibrate etc.) however, I can no be away from mains electricity for more than 1-2 days.
Why did they not just build a 6310i equivalent!
I got my 6310i out of the drawer after 6 months - It still had 4 bars on the battery!
6310i is still the greatest phone ever made - Prove me wrong if you dare! It calls, it texts, it lasts.
Please, please fix this problem - How about an onboard Nuclear Reactor! I am sure I saw this feature on 24!
Apart from the Battery - Awesome!

High-resolution but its battery. It can only last two days due to its bright screen & sophisticated functions.

I was planning to buy a pocket PC, preferably of I-mate series. But the large size of the handset always offended me from purchasing one. When I got into the features of E70 I was surprised by the wide array of its functionality. It was far ahead of any pocket PC.I think it doesn't leave any room for desiring something more. Coupled to that the brilliant screen display & a QWERTY keypad make up the perfect combination & that too in a pocketable size.
I was also overwhelmed by the memory size & its expandability up to 2GB.That's a lot of memory in any handset. As a whole the E70 is a complete blend of business & pleasure.
I wondered if they could have a bigger screen!

Great phone. A different style. But considering all the advantages, it has a few disadvantages:
- It does not open file with. sis &.jad format (but in the Nokia website it says so)
- Considering the video player I plays formats which are not so often used in our daily life, i.e.- it can play .3GP format but not.wav.wmv format- (come on most of the video songs are it those two format)
- & themes open only when their in. jar format
- it has no RADIO (hey even a business man needs some entertainment on the move, if not visual radio at least just normal radio would help. That's sad Nokia. BIG SHAME)
Other than that it is a good phone for business ppl who don't bother abt video & MP3

In fact my ratings should say all about the phone.
I was using N70 & was pretty happy with the phone. But it was a sudden decision to buy this outstanding gadget E70. I just saw the phone & was planning no let me buy N73 as it has a 3.2 mega pixel camera. But then came to know that in N73 it has lots & lots of other disadvantages. So bought this E70. Camera is good only issue is the surrounding light should be bright enough else the pic quality is a bit bad. But when it comes to software boss you can bet on any other phone its rock solid. I am using it now from last 1 month & it has not hanged even once. Sound quality on hands-free is good. If you want an executive phone then please don't see all that nonsense features those are for entertainment phones I mean the N series. Now this cell is for sure with me for a long time. I should thank a million to the shop keeper who suggested me to lose the N73 & take the E70.
For all those who are planning to buy a good cell this is the only one.

First & foremost I was using a doped 900 before, in fact I've gotten and many Smartphone previously...ranging from the 9000 series of communicators to pocket pc phones. Quite frankly I didn't know what I was getting into when my doped was up for grabs (didn't know what phone to actually get) but since "blackberry" was a hit in Malaysia I tot of checking out sum blackberry phones in the market. out of my surprise the e70 caught my attention, reading its brochure let me to actually want to feel the phone & seeing it for myself & I in didn't take me too long to actually decide to get it (3 days). & when I got it, being a new phone & all I was checking on what its capabilities. with out a doubt I came to love it more & more each time using it. all the functions of my so called overrated doped 900 has been answered by this more or less palm size phone. trust me ..you'll like it.

The Nokia E70 is full to the brim with an outrageous amount of technology. I was amased when I read all about it. A 3G phone with Bluetooth, 16 million colour screen, 2 mega pixel camera, video player, media player, music player but no radio. The multi connectivity sounds interesting & I have used the push to talk feature before & it is a real fun & good way to communicate. The email service is a quality feature & it should be amasing to use.

Is the E70 available in the yet? What are the pros & cons for this monster? I am really up for getting this phone but would like to read a few reviews from the end users. Good info site, thanks.

I am not a business user so would not warrant purchasing the E70 but just wanted to have my say anyway. I like the design & think the end users needs have been really thought about. It is nice to see such a well designed smart phone with 3G technology. The keyboard & the screen look the best I have seen.
