Well thought out phone I have had mine now for a year until I cracked the screen. Got a replacement from Orange be careful. They replaced mine with a recondition phone not a brand new one as stated in the insurance. Just be careful with Orange. So can my contract & the gave me a Samsung i8910 HD what a phone but nut better styled then the arte I want a new on a sapphire may be what you think guys. Just remember when phone companies like Orange say they replace your phone if damaged with a new phone they lie it is all recon phones. Mine was replaced with someone else's phone & they forgot to clear the details on the phone. That is how I caught them out so they said I can have any phone on their site so I choose a Samsung i8910 HD the phone has an 8 mega pixel camera & HD video.

This Phone is amazing. I have always wanted the 8800 range & researched for weeks to which one to buy. I bought it on an Orange contract. It was pricey. BUT IT IS WORTH IT. Once you've held this phone you'll never want a cheap plastic thing like the Nokia N95. & yes it is a posers phone & yes I am a poser. BUY IT. IT WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT!

One word, Awesome! This is a feel good phone that does what it does properly. Not brimming with toys, it's a niche phone that won't have mass market appeal, but will just get on with the job. Check it out then do yourself a favour & buy one, you won't regret it & while you're about it check out the carbon version. Yum!

Looking at these reviews it looks like I have had the phone the longest, coming up to my 7th month, this phone keeps freezing on me after 3 month (I see a pattern emerging. It's surprising that the same fault occurs time & time again. This is the first phone I have had to replace, & I have to say the first initial excitement (when you get the phone) wears off, once you realise after a few months you aren't receiving calls because it had died & you have to take the battery out & put it back in. O2, are not very helpful either, after being with them 2 years, & spending £55per month on top of the £350. I think once the contract runs out in 11 months time, I will be leaving them.

This phone is so cool. I have been told that it is a posers phone. I am not a poser but love it. It feels great, looks amazing & is very easy to use. The only issue I would have with it is that it occassionally crashes. Apart from that though it is great & I would recommend it to anyone!

Don't listen to all the people who say this phone is rubbish, it's not. It's excellent!

The only reason the people above have knocked it is because they are probably still wet behind the ears or because it doesn't come with enough video games.

I had previously used the 8800 Sirrocco for about 3 years & found it to be an absolutely brilliant phone if all you need to do is make phone calls & run a calendar.

I used to go through 2 batteries a day on a regular basis as I make & receive a hell of a lot of calls with the business I am in; the Arte however, does all that on 1 battery. If you want a phone that is solid, reliable, not full of the stupid rubbish they fill them up with now days, one that will last all day & that looks like it cost the earth then go for the Arte.

I give it 10 out of 10.

Great design, just enough features to get by but not an entertainment phone. Tiny keys make fast email or text difficult even when you're used to it overall, looks amazing usability, not so much.

Best phone to date, didn't want to go down the Vertu route but since they are owned by Nokia anyway it's hardly surprising that they are able to produce such a glam phone. Love every part of this phone, definitely one to have if your budget can stretch.

This phone is the pinnacle of exclusivity. Sure, there are many phones out there that do more but none that look or feel as good. The next step up is a Viewity which in my opinion are a bit too overstated. The 8800's simplicity in appearance & quality of materials are what make it perfect. It's not for everyone, but then neither is anything that's exclusive.

OVERALL this phone if you can afford it is the best around, the features it has are just enough for today's life, fair enough battery life. The N-Series have too many features which can be a problem. The more things there are the more things can go wrong. This phone will not keep you entertained like a N95 etc however it will do everything you want it do & shock you with its beauty.

Amazing design! Great phone! By the way does anyone know whether you can purchase better batteries off the Internet for this phone for longer talk time?

If you're going to spend so much money on this phone, it's worth spending another £10 on a better battery?

Let me know, Cheers.

This is NOT a 3G phone. 3G only starts at UMTS which this phone is not. This is on the Edge or HSCSD network not the HSDPA network, so don't be expecting fast downloads through this.

I brought this phone today, it is really sleek & sleek & is worth the money, previous I owned the 8600 Luna but wasn't fully satisfied due to the 128mn internal memory, now I am happy :) by the way the dummy model in shops is nowhere near as nice as the actual phone. Buy it.

The phone seems to be really good. Usually what tends to happen down the line is that phones get slower the longer you have them so we will see how this phone turns out soon. As for N-Series phones & for them to bring out a phone like this is out standing. This phone is made from high quality metal & material unlike the Sony Ericssons. They are just cheap plastics so appreciate this phone. Definitely one to have. Hope I have helped. Good size also & if you're a guy this will definitely draw you some attention.
