Love this phone, it looks great, fits beautifully into the hand & the keypad is really smooth & quick to use, but the battery lets it down in a big way. Stated standby time of 300 hours would be wonderful, I find that mine needs recharging every 24 hours when on standby only, no calls & no texts. If you are happy to keep recharging it, then it's a great phone!

I like the look & feel of this phone although it can be difficult to flip open with one hand.
My main gripe is the poor battery life when the phone is operating in dual or UMTS modes.

I have selected GPS mode & it has made a tremendous difference to the life of the battery & the phone works fine. Just to be safe I have purchased a spare battery from priced £19.99 inclusive of vat & postage.

From the menu select settings, phone, network mode & select GPS. This works fine for me but may be dependent on service provider & area of operation.

Superb clamshell type, good looks, Nokia reliability. I am not a heavy user in relation to calls & texts or games & find the battery life not brilliant.

I find this Nokia to be a strange mix of good & frustrating. When will the company allow us to TURN OFF the THINGS WE don't WANT TO USE?

I am a totally dedicated Nokia 6131 fan because the button open to the flip is FAB & the keys are VERY BIG which is ideal for A MAN! Whoever tells Nokia that men want keys 2mm x 3mm is silly!

This phone is almost as good, but it takes two hands to open it, & it forces me to wade past things like Yahoo Go & incoming email in the messages list even when I don't want to use either!

The talk & standby time is great, the loudspeaker is rubbish! Not a patch on my trusty old 6131. Can't hear it in the car or even in a busy street, why bother?

I also HATE the side charger hole, makes it impossible to use when on charge unlike the others with a socket at the back of the phone.

Taken all round I wouldn't trade my old 6131 for this, except Nokia don't want to supply it in the UK anymore (but they do in other countries, c'mon guys!) so I have no choice unless I want to buy grey imports with no warranty! NOT CLEVER Nokia!

7 out of 10 all round score.

I loved this phone until I realised that I could not save any sent messages, on 02 only. It works okay with Vodafone (as it's a SIM free phone). The keypad was brilliant. It was like my other Nokia 6500 Slide, which I have had to go back onto, as I am with 02.

Very nice looking new Nokia clamshell mobile phone. Bought it on December 28, 2007. I was one of the lucky people who could have a trial packages (only black). It fits very well in your hand & is easy to use.

The only bad thing is the sound is a little less than the rest & I don't know why Nokia did not put a radio in it.

But I will give it a vote of 9 out of 10.
