I love my phone! I use the MP3 to play music when I am out & about & it does wear the battery down but then I use it quite a lot. The ovi maps have got me out of the sticks a few times & as a clumsy person, the fact its not easy to break is an added bonus. Top marks Nokia!

I love my new 6303 classic. The only moan is that I seem unable to download a ringtone from my Apple Mac computer. I would dearly love to download a jazz version of 'When the Saints go Marching in' as my ringtone. Any ideas how?

I used the 6300 previously. I recently exchanged it for the 6303 Classic & like so many other people I was very disappointed with the volume on this phone. I managed to rectify this by downloading (using Bluetooth) all the tones from my 6300 to the 6303. The volume has improved greatly even without using the outdoor setting. Hope this helps!

So pleased with my phone, yes my phone! Not a camera, not a MP3 player, not a torch, not a lap top a phone!

It's the best. What are you people moaning about. There is no torch, the Internet is not good, the camera is not good. It's awesome!

How can you say it is not loud? It's so loud I have to keep turning it down.

Not sure if you are using a ring tone from Nokia. But I am using a music track & it's plenty loud enough.

I agree the text message tone is not as loud, but it flashes at you when you have missed it, so what's the problem.

The camera is great to, ideal for quick snaps in the pub, out & about. If I want to take photos on holiday I use my camera, which is 12 megapixel.

It's easy to use, it feels great, I love it.

Only one snag, when I copy a disc, it does not give me a option to get info, Album name, song tracks etc. Hey Ho. Only a small moan. The only one I have. Had it for 3 months now.

I have had this phone for about 4 months now, after not being able to get on with the LG Viewty touch screen. It is true the ring tone is not very loud, however some tones play louder than others & choosing one that plays a little louder helps a bit. It is difficult to text with just one hand due to the buttons, but I just use two hands, no drama for me. I think they are about the only bad points; I have dropped it 3 times & everything is OK. The music storing & playing is far superior to the Viewty, & although the camera is less megapixels, it is as good as the Viewty (if you want a decent camera buy a camera I say). You won't increase the cameras downloading capability by increasing the memory card all that does is increase your storage capacity & could actually slow some of your cameras functions down slightly, by giving the chip more work to do, it's a bit like buying a bigger hard drive for your PC but not increasing the RAM, hope this helps.

I got this phone in November & overall I am pleased. As a lot have mentioned above the ring volume is very low & the camera is not great. When I received a picture from my daughter the other day it told me the file was too big? But, it is a Nokia, & as always, very easy to use. Clear menu & buttons are a good size. If you want a phone primarily for texting, phoning & the odd picture then this is great. If you want to use lots of applications or use it for music then you would be better off choosing a Sony Ericsson.

A little idea for lots of people saying the ringtone volume is too low. Set your profile to outdoor, it's a lot louder than normal general mode. Hope it helps.

I have had this phone for two weeks now. It's a cool phone but am disappointed that I can barely hear it ringing, even the alarm. I missed several important calls in the last couple of days. Upgrading to firmware 10.10 only slightly improved the camera. I have resulted to increasing my tone volume though using Audacity software.

I wasn't expecting an iPhone when I bought the Nokia 6303, but I am disappointed with the Internet capabilities.

I need to view live flight arrivals at London Heathrow Airport, & would also like to view YouTube.

It can barely download the flight arrivals page, I have to first enter the exact web address to get it, & take takes several minutes to download.

& viewing anything on the YouTube website is impossible. What is even more ridiculous is the fact that the bookmark icon is preinstalled onto the phone, but you still can't view anything. It just stops working.

I have increased the memory from 1GB to max 4GB but makes no difference.

I tried contacting Nokia's premium rate helpline who after over an hour simply said that the webpage was too big for the phones capabilities, or that my airtime provider (T mobile) was not delivering a fast enough broadband transmission to deliver it.

Offered no solution as how to increase the use of the extra 4GB memory card installed.

This phone is so simple to use. Looks & feels great & best of all. Is ultra reliable, does not crash or freeze like some of the top end over rated phones out there. Has everything you could possibly need from a phone. My only quibble would be that the ringtone could be louder & GPS would have been nice (although I've heard that mobile GPS is often rubbish).

But these really are only minor problems & the pros far outweigh the cons.

I have now had this phone for over 5 months & am extremely happy with it & would recommend it to anyone.

Just got the phone a few weeks ago I like the large screen & the nice chunky feel of the phone but I must agree with most of the others the ring is extremely low & I have missed several calls due to that also it would be a lot easier to see if the print was in bold ink. Is there anything I could do to make the ring louder?

I have had many phones & it's not the worst phone I have had. The camera is rubbish, the ring tones not loud at all, so I am having a few problems with this phone at the moment, maybe it's a software issue when I am on the phone the volume sounds very low & I can't hear the person at the other end also the best feature when you get a missed call or a text message the centre key flashes great idea.

I am biased I only buy Nokia. I am delighted with it. Nice solid feel, not too heavy & efficiently good looking. Battery life 3 to 4 days, I am a low to medium user. I tend not to change phones often so I research thoroughly to find the right one (in the Nokia range) the screen is large & clear. For my purposes it is an excellent phone. I paid £107.30 plus Vat, total of £123.39 including delivery, SIM free unlocked.

I have found this phone really easy to use. Pictures are good, not so good in low light. Sound is good. No signal loss like some mobiles. Calls are clear with no distortion. Yes there is a light that keeps flashing after a call or message.

Easy to use & nice sized key pad. All in all a good phone. I did have the Sony C510 but changed it for this one. Can't Beat it.

Got this phone for nearly a month, had 1 crash when playing games & receiving an incoming call at a time, the battery only lasts for 2 days if you take dozens of pictures, don't take any shots at night or you will regret, the speaker is okay, slightly better than 6300, I don't know why Nokia music doesn't work with this phone, the media center is not good.

This is a fair phone, but I think Sony Ericsson C510 is better choice.

Great phone & good clear screen. Good all round with exception of the ring tone volume, not loud at all but as with a few new Nokia's around they all seem to sound very low. Way round it is to add your own ring tone from the PC as you can make it a lot louder so problem solved. Phone is 1 of the best in the mid range Nokia's as my old Nokia supernovas mirror screen was a bit of a letdown due to working outside & not being able to see screen clearly due to day light reflecting onto the screen. Nokia 6303 is recommended by me by far the best.

Overall a brilliant phone, pretty much has it all. For me it would be perfect if it had the following (but we can't have it all!

- Torch (no reason they couldn't make camera flash useable as torch).

- Keyboard was a little higher, not always the easiest thing to text on lowest buttons.

- Ringtones & alarm were stronger & louder.

If I had to criticise anything it would be my last point. I know I am getting on in years (ripe old age of 41) but I am struggling to hear the ringtone if it's not sitting on my desk in front of me (vibrate helps) & as for the alarm, well, either I have a dud or some corporate lawyer in Nokia is terrified someone is going to sue them for waking them up too quickly. I have been using my mobile as my alarm for years & guess what, first morning I used the 6303's I slept straight through it. Have tried every setting I can & its really quite pathetic. Ironically, the best way around this seems to be to set it on vibrate & the phone makes a not so nice (but at least louder) noise as it rattles across my bedside cabinets surface. Note to self, wake up in time to save it vibrating its way off the edge of my cabinet. I've gone on about this haven't I!? !? I suppose the phone is so good in every other way that I feel hugely let down by the rather pathetic oversight by the Nokia boys. What a shame for an otherwise BRILIANT phone.

Once again Nokia comes up trumps. Just received this one & reckon it is one of the best yet in the mid range category. Excellent battery life, much better than the 6300 which was itself an excellent handset. The keypad took a little while to get used to but after an hour or so you realise you are using an excellent phone. Feels solid & well made & there are no creeks or rattles when texting. Great call quality & the screen is larger than the 6300 although possibly not quite so bright, saving a bit of battery of course!

Overall an excellent handset & one I would certainly recommend.
