I have many new phones in my company. But this is by far the easiest & friendliest phone I have had, way surpasses most new phones. So go buy a couple before they become obsolete.

Phone would be great but for the battery. Have changed phone & battery now, lucky if it lasts 12 hours, not very reassuring to carry around, & of course it doesn't fit into my Nokia in car set, that would obviously be less profiteering.

Battery is useless. Nokia not interested after they've got your money, chucked mine in the Thames off London bridge, bet there is loads of them down there. Good luck Rene.

BT fusion package, easy to text & call but can't download a funky ringtone so stuck with drab old Nokia one. It works very well with the BT home hub so bills should be low. Perfect for the more 'mature' user for calls & texting but as for all the rest of the gizmos well I am lost, must be thick or just too old!

Exactly same problems as Andrew below! Phone no.2's battery has just packed up as well. Wonder if we have a faulty batch as we got our phones around the same time?

Got this phone via BT Fusion, & initially thought it looked like another good solid phone from Nokia (I am not a massively advanced user, I use my phone pretty much just for talk & text - & after 15 years of Nokia phones - I had yet to have a problem), UNTIL NOW. After five weeks, this is handset number FOUR - so far the pattern goes something like this:

- Day 1- receive handset - charge it up.
- Day 2 - excitedly set up phone (bung in SIM card, set ring-tone, add contacts etc).
- Day 3 or 4 - after overnight charging, notice that the phone has heated up during the morning, & drained the battery completely before lunchtime (total standby time of less than four hours). Discover that the Nokia CA44 adaptor does not convert from the older chargers, only from the more modern ones. Therefore am without a phone unless I travel around with the latest charger at all times in case of battery outage.

BT have been excellent - they simply send me a new phone whenever I call (but with the same problem each time, so it goes back to step 1. ). Nokia have been worse than useless - saying they take the problem 'very seriously', but seem totally unable to help resolve it. After I rang the third time they said they have no records of a similar problem - despite the fact that I had already phoned twice before with the same problem. I think the problem is the UMA software locking up as it passes between the Wi-Fi signal & regular mobile cells: basically the reason I got the phone. When the battery is anything other than completely full, it is unable to find the Wi-Fi network in my house, & locks up searching for it.

In summary - this phone works FINE so long as you turn the Wi-Fi system OFF. Which means if you are considering getting it to work with BT Fusion or Orange Unique (the only UMA operators at the moment) - DON'T! & there really is NO OTHER reason to get it. Incidentally Nokia's other response was to try to get me to upgrade my phone - I had to explain that there weren't actually any other UMA phones by Nokia at the moment - something the sales/service team hadn't actually realised!

Other factors which work against this phone are the lack of Bluetooth (wired headphones only), the fact it doesn't work with the Advanced Car Kit (even though it says on the box that it does, so that was a huge waste of space & money having it put in my car then) & the fact that half your old chargers won't work with it via a CA44 cable (Nokia miss-sell their own product on their website). Basically, this PHONE DOES NOT WORK. I am not normally an early adopter & this whole sad episode reminds me why.

Received this phone as a part of the BT Fusion package. Would appear to be good in everything that is does. The package was bought as I live in a black spot re mobile reception. Now have landline quality when making/receiving calls via the BT Broadband network at home. Only had it a week, I think it is great.

One downside is tried to find accessories. Visited 3 high street mobile shops with no joy. Will probably have to get them through BT.

Phone fits easily in my trouser pockets so always have it with me. Good sound quality & typical Nokia user friendly software. Still haven't tried out BT Fusion Wi-Fi much but have experienced the seamless switchover Wi-Fi GSM & back. Radio has good sound quality in good signal area. Photos quite good. I like the decent sized keys for numbers & navigation through the menus. All in all I like this phone a lot.

Everything about this phone really sounds good to me. Am on the verge of buying one, but will have to reconsider for lack of Bluetooth on this phone. With the new soon to be regulations, in the UK, about using mobiles whilst driving getting you 3 points on your license. I definitely think lack of Bluetooth will be a DRAWBACK for this phone. Shame!

Just got 2 of these handsets (couple of weeks) through BT fusion. For me, a phone needs to be light, quad band, good battery as priority. Nice look & feel/games a bonus. Camera irrelevant (I use my SLR.) MP3 irrelevant - I use my iPOD. I chose the phone cos I liked it best from the very limited no. BT have on offer, & with no normal mobile coverage at home + much cheaper calls in London with hotspots all over this was the phone for me. I've never had a Nokia that disappoints - this is no exception. One slight grumble - if you don't remember to lock the keypad it is possible to get the camera going inside a handbag & flatten the battery all unknowingly. Still no probs since started locking the key pad - & the switch to cheaper networks really works well!

Basic looking handset but small, compact & very easy to use. Big advantage is that I have just purchased this on BT Fusion & have found the UMA feature works in McDonalds (must be a BT hotspot). Actually looking forward to getting the bill as it should be a lot cheaper than usual.

Not seen the phone yet but I can't see from having searched everywhere whether or not it has Bluetooth. This could be a real drawback!

Ok phone. Way too basic looking, & lacking many features as I'm used to using Symbian based handsets. Also camera is only 1.3 which is quite poor. But for average user where phone is just for calls n texts n its probably ok.

In the UK there will probably only be one mobile company I can think of that will use the UMA feature & that's orange (since they took over wanadoo broadband recently). So can't see it being very useful for anyone else (need to have a combined service agreement in place to use the feature?). Unless Vodafone also join up with a broadband provider. After using all features (except UMA as no one in UK does it, so it's pretty pointless at moment) I'm not too impressed with handset. It's just a very basic phone.

Like the phone & I am defiantly changing from Motorola over to Nokia as they seem to a much better & bigger range in general. The 6136 will suit my needs & I like the sound of the UMA technology as my phone must be 100% reliable. The talk time & standby time sounds fine & I like hot swap memory cards.

The design looks good & the size is good. I like & prefer the fold action phones as they are just so easy handle. The features are superb on the 6136 & include more than I could wish for with a good camera, video functions, radio with stereo sound, sms & mms messaging, email, UMA, Edge with XHTML browser, quad band, voice controls & conference calling. Superb bit of technology. I am not sure when the Nokia 6136 is available but I will be buying it asap.
